I've been to Full Moon Cafe twice now. Both visits have been really chill. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Good place to study or get your work done without feeling rushed. On my most recent visit, I got to taste their hibiscus tea, a pastry and a flan through their too good to go app. The tea was refreshing and balanced. The flan stood out as it was absolutely delicious. That said, it was somewhat heavy so great to share with someone. Overall, it's a great cafe so I'll Def be coming back. read more

The jalapeno chorizo, egg & cheese wrap was very good, and the cobb salad was really good as well. Such a good spot for a cheap and light meal. The service was a bit slow, but everyone was really friendly. It feels very casual inside, and there are many tables. There is no bathroom. read more

The bakery stuff in Full Moon Cafe is average at best but their pan de bonos tend to be quite good. However, the reason that I gave them one star was because of the appalling service there. The older lady who works there is incredibly rude & doesn't only disparage patrons but also disparages the younger co-workers who seem genuinely scared of her. This is hands down my favorite local cafe! I love that they have a large food and drink selection. You can get anything. Coffee, tea, pressed juice, bubble tea, lemonades, juices, sodas. Breakfast and lunch food. From French toasts to burgers and everything in between. Pastries, cupcake and slices of cakes. They are kid and service dog friendly. There is a corner with a bookshelf with books for kids. I often come here for a frozen coffee with my bestie and her service dog. My favorite thing to order is carrot, orange, and apple freshly squeezed juice. I used to come here almost everyday when I was in between jobs and now I try to come here every night and/or weekend that I am in the neighborhood. I especially love coming there to work on my laptop. The owner is a lovely lady named Gabriella. She is always a pleasure to interact with. She loves decorating, and transforms the cafe with every season. In winter she even hosted a Santa to greet the children. Her employees are always cheerful. The cafe itself is very spacious. There are multiple tables, a sofa and just plenty of space for everyone not to be on top of one another. Seriously, if you are visiting Sunnyside - The Full Moon is a must to visit! read more

The food here is absolutely wonderful. It's the kind that keeps you coming back week after week. The Sopa de fideo is a staple for us; my husband says it tastes just like home, and honestly, that's the highest compliment a dish can get. The birria tacos are another favorite we never skip, and we recently tried the chocoflan for a sweet finish, it did not disappoint. Empanada was pretty good, was cheese and spinach but only had one small area of cheese along the folded side. Fresh orange juice was super tasty, Raspberry chai latte with oat milk is something I've never had before and I was excited to try. Something about the mix was sweeter than I expected, but the drink itself wasn't bad at all. The avocado toast I really don't know how I felt about it. The avocado part was super fresh and ripe, no brown, dark green though and through. Just chunky enough to appreciate that it came from a real avocado. The tomato on top was more of a garnish than anything else, and it came out on standard square bread?? For these 4 items I paid about $30 which I feel is high but I was also willing to pay for it. Ambience is that of any other small coffee shop, the tables are still tossy coffee-- the place that was there before them. Service is pretty good, some things came out fast some did not. read more

I loved the horchata matcha however, I ordered the largest size I was super excited I was sipping it slowly & after like 5 sips I was completely done with the drink since it was 90% ice. I have never craved a drink just to have that desire satisfied to then immediately be filled with anger from just not having the drink. For 8 dollars you can do the decent thing & fill it up with milk. Literally anything would have been acceptable but I did not order a glass of ice & the experience was so bad I wanted to turn around & get the drink remade. Atmosphere was good, flavor was incredible, just incredibly anger inducing to order exactly what I want have it & be done with it before I even get a full chug. read more

Spooky season was on the menu y'all In terms of food, I really liked the horchata drink because it wasn't too sweet but hit just right. The cupcakes were super fluffy and the frosting was creamy and delicious! The toppers were rings that was so unexpected and a great souvenir. The service was sweet as the cupcakes. The inside of the cafe was really cute and there is a wide variety of options (coffee, smoothies, pastries, omelettes, etc.). Full Moon Cafe is my favorite place to go with my family and my friends. The place is very cozy, they have different kind of chairs to seat and as soon as you enter the place you feel at home. From the menu, I love the BLT sandwich, the pancakes, Guacamole and ships , salchipapas and much more. My favorite drinks are the frozen matcha, frozen coffee, aguapanela con limón, and the Ditox smoothie. The owner Gabriela is very sweet and friendly, she always welcomes you with a warm smile. The people who work here are really nice. I think they need additional staff. Every time I order there I have to think twice if it's going to be something where I need it done by a particular time. Today I ordered one sandwich. It said 15-20 mins. I gave them 25-30 and went to pick it up. They hadn't even seen the order or started it yet. I was the only person actively ordering. Here's the plus: the old Tossy Coffee spot was a solid location to hang out with coffee and pastry and get a few hours of laptop work done. Full Moon stil is that. The coffee here is pretty good. The pastries are not great, but they never were. Also they have a food menu of sandwiches, etc. Great spot across from the park. Here's the minus: It's always empty. It's more expensive than it was ($5 iced coffee). The staff is often not present. (The owner? is a nice, friendly guy.) Food has been slow and not good. They have an opportunity for a terrific joint -- Tossy used to be busy -- but they aren't there yet. read more

This is my first experience here and I ordered the iced matcha latte with oat milk. It came out sickeningly sweet. Matcha lattes with oat milk are my drink of choice at cafes so I get it often. On rare occasions, I add a pump of flavored syrup to spice it up. My matcha latte at Full Moon Cafe tasted like TWO pumps of syrup got added. Confused, I went to inquire if there was a miscommunication with my order. To my surprise, they insisted that my matcha latte was not sweetened and this is how the drink is supposed to taste. I even asked for the brand of oat milk they used. They said it was the regular Oatley. I tossed the drink and will not be back. read more
