TikTok led me to Caffe Aronne and for that I am so grateful! I happened to be visiting the UES and realized I was nearby to the shop. So of course I made my way over and immediately fell in love with the ambiance! The cafe is reasonably large by nyc standards. My group was able to snag some of the comfy chairs in the back. I ordered the iced honey oat latte and loved it. The honey was subtle but did add a lovely touch of sweetness. And of course I need a pastry with my coffee and decided to switch it up and go savory because balance, right? The spinach pastry was AMAZING! Exceeded my expectations and was the perfect snack size- but I almost went back for a second one! Friendly neighborhood cafe that is worth a visit! The community obviously loves this place (rightfully so). So go show some support! read more

I have been meaning to write a review for Caffe Aronne but in the past the site would not let me for whatever reason. I love to support this coffee shop after all it has been through in the past few years. It is a very welcoming cute/ cozy spot. They have some tables and chairs in the back. I usually get a latte or a cappuccino. Yesterday, I wanted ti try their hot chocolate. It was not very hot and had like no taste to it. Also for $7.00 ( 6 something plus tip) this just was not worth it. I will stick to getting coffee here. I did have their avocado toast here. It was ok. Usually when I stop by I am welcomed by the staff. When I went a few days ago, the person working the cash register was looking at their text message and It took a few seconds for them to ask what I would like. But as I said I, usually have no issues with people who work here and most are very nice and welcoming. I know we all have our days. If you are in this area though, I would deff stop by and support a small business. read more

Stopped by while I was on a walk in the neighborhood. I ordered an almond milk latte, which hit the spot. It was very earthy and peaceful inside with the plants and decor. The baristas were friendly and welcoming, and the cafe was bustling with people working, chatting, and just enjoying the day. Overall, great neighborhood spot! read more

I recently visited Caffe Aronne with my brother who is a frequent customer. I am so glad he introduced me to this cozy, inviting gem on the Upper East Side. The ambience makes you want to sit with a book for hours, enjoying a coffee, sandwich or pastry or chatting with friends. Great music, very calm and relaxing. The service is extremely friendly and they make you feel welcome. I had the honey oat latte and enjoyed every sip. The date latte is a must. I had the nova and avocado toast and it hit the spot. Extremely upsetting that they have continued to experience heat crimes. I used to go to Starbucks when I was in the area. Not any longer. I would much rather support a local business. Especially, a lovely business that is experienced heat crimes. read more

Great coffee shop! We loved the rose almond latte and the pistachio latte. Unique flavors that really hit the spot- I got a large and shared with both of my kids- still had some left over. It's a generous large. Ambiance is lovely, there are a few nice seats in the back to lounge. Service was friendly. We will be back read more

A very pleasant inside atmosphere and decent drip coffee option for the neighborhood. The cafe has had some troubles (protests) since October 2023, as you will see a newspaper clipping on the wall. However, when I went it was quiet, peaceful and a nice rest while I waited for my wife to finish a medical surgery. A little high on prices but normal for the area. read more

Came here after see posts from influencers Ordered almond rose latte and the Coffee was great! Cute decor! Small cafe with limited seating area. Recommend ordering to go. But waited 20 mins for a latte? When it's not even busy, and without any basic latte art? I understand I ordered to go, but all cafes i have been in the city, baristas would have still finished the latte with a basic latte art even on a go to order. I do not really mind since it's a to go order, but I am just pointing, in case people are coming in for the gram, they may get disappointed. I don't even wait this long at Ralph's coffee during busy days. And price is almost the same as Ralph's coffee. I did notice the baristas were pretty new, and they had difficult time locating ingredients and tools they needed. That's probably the reason it takes a long time for a cup of latte. read more

There is nothing better than a fresh cup of Americano and a toast on a rainy day. Happened to be in Upper East Side and decided to drop in. Lovely clean and cozy place. Starting off with the cappuccino it was just fine. If I got it again I wouldn't be sad about it but it's not one of my top ones but overall good! The ratio of milk was way too much as it completely lost it's espresso quality to it. The service and interior is really cute and welcoming. Absolutely amazing place with an equally amazing staff! I had a small mix-up with a drink, and despite how busy it was, they handled it so graciously and professionally, which really shows how much they care about their customers. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming, making it such a pleasant place to spend time. The drink selection is outstanding, the matcha is some of the best I've had, and the pastries are absolutely perfect--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. Limited seating--seems more spacious than it is because of the mirror on the back wall which is deceiving in terms of seating. Tables are pretty low except a couple, so not conducive to doing work on a laptop/notebook, but would be nice to read or something more laid back. Cute Israeli place playing Israeli music, not too loud but could be distracting if trying to zone in on work. Unsure about the WiFi/outlet situation. Almond croissant was mid--a bit dry and not very almond-y--wouldn't order again. Same with hot chocolate. read more

If you want to take a break after a long walk, this casual coffee house is the right spot. It's relaxed atmosphere, oldies play list and casual seating made me feel at home. Very friendly barista took my order and recommended a nice Americano. It was done just right, strong with foma and smooth taste. I was so hoping to get a scone or some pastries, but unfortunately they did not have a large selection. Perhaps you need to stop in earlier. But overall, lovely place. read more

Been meaning to try this place for a while, and I'm so glad I finally got the chance to go in. The place was cute and had a decent amount of seating options. They also had strong WiFi which made working easy. I got a cold brew and was pleasantly surprised by the taste, it was some of the best cold brew I've had. My friend got an almond rose latte that she loved! My 2 complaints were that there was only one size for iced beverages and that they didn't have a regular iced coffee option only cold brew. Also the price was on the very high end of coffees. It was $6.50 and my friends latte was $9. I will be returning but only on a special occasion as I can't justify that pricing regularly. I didn't get food but their pastry options looked amazing and they had prepared food that sounded delicious as well read more

I walked in with a few family members at 6:42pm and the sign said they closed at 8pm. We were going to order coffee and food. There was a super rude guy at the register who said WE CLOSE IN 20 MINUTES and I thought that meant to order quickly and then leave which would have been totally fine. So I said okay and try to order and he said "that means I don't have the manpower to serve you" in the most rude way possible. As there were three other people behind the register and the cafe was not busy. I have no idea why he was so rude to my family we just stopped in to grab coffee and a quick bite. I said okay and we left and went across the street to a different coffee shop. We also had my grandma with me who really needed to stop and sit down for a few minutes and we were absolutely going to give them good business. I Would not recommend stopping by this cafe. read more

Stopped by after a day in Central Park was disappointed that they closed at 8pm and not 9, as listed. The server was extremely accommodating and made us sandwiches and a latte to go. Food was very tasty. Best croissant I've had in awhile. The coffee shop could only seat about 6 people. There is busy wall paper that adds some life to the environment. I've been frequenting Lexington Avenue for years, and I cannot believe I haven't stopped by at Cafe Aronne! I don't think I would've explored this little Cafe's unique essence by judging it based on the outside---That would be a huge mistake. Once I walked in I thought, "Wow, I've been missing out." It's tropical wallpaper, minimalist decor, wine bottles, and marble barista station all contribute to its sophisticated charm. The baristas were approachable and friendly. I asked them if they could make an iced espresso with oat-milk (filled to the top) without realizing it would be better to just order a latte. However, they prepared my drink as if it were a latte and charged me for just an espresso shot! That was nice of them. Caffe Aronne has a lot of interesting speciality drinks that I would like to try in the future as well. I'll definitely be back as i was really happy with my experience. :) read more

This was genuinely the worst experience I've had at a cafe. I hate thinking this, but I think it was simply just racism from the workers. My friend and I walked in and not a single person would acknowledge us until another customer came in. Then when we ordered they tried charging us for an extra coffee and got mad when I pointed it out. To add to that, the coffee wasn't even good and had a very sour taste. If you are in the area literally go to any other place than this one!! read more

I've been eating lox all my life but never ever as fabulous as this!! I had the Sesame Smoked Salmon on Sourdough with Crème Fraiche and Sesame seeds. Delicious!!Coffee is organic and they have a wide variety plus specialty Lattes. I savored every drop of my Americano then had a yummy warmed up apple croissant. Service was excellent. Worker in the front was friendly and quick with my drink, even mentioned it was a good choice. Ambiance was nice for studying since I needed to get work done. I got the iced lavender oat matcha and it was great! Matcha was nice but was more grassy toward the end (watered down obviously). I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! The prices are definitely a little inflated but for some reason I feel like the prices at most Flatiron places of this caliber are set similarly so I suppose it is ~locally~ normative. In any case, it fits the vibe of the area well and it is suitable for pretty much any occasion so it's versatile too. We came here at 8:15 as a party of four on a Saturday night. Though it wasn't too hard to get a reservation, the place was completely full. That said, it's a relatively big space so they have plenty of tables to accommodate parties of many different sizes. The decor is fresh and refined, lots of greenery which is the move these days. Though it's a white tablecloth situation the vibe is not pretentious or buttoned up, it's lively and fun just in a sophisticated way. Cocktails and wine options aplenty here, with quite a few cocktail options featuring Greek/Mediterranean ingredients (mastiha, I'm looking at you) which I very much appreciated. A few folks started with the "I Speak For The Trees" (Spring 44 Vodka, Cucumber, Mastiha) cocktail and in doing so tried mastiha for the first time. I, not surprisingly, had to try the martini, which is the Fantasy Is A Necessary Ingredient (Dill Vodka, Sardinian Vermouth, Olive Oil). Despite not being a vodka person, vodka in dirty martinis is the one exception I will make from time to time, especially when there is a fun infusion that elevates the drink. I was extremely happy that, after ordering it, our server asked if I wanted it with a regular olive or feta-stuffed olive, as if there is really any deliberation that needs to happen there (read: feta-stuffed olives are a no-brainer). For the rest of the night I just got dirty martinis or espresso martinis which are both particularly excellent here. My partner tried the La Osa Albarino (Val do Salnes, Rias Biaxas, Spain) with our entrees which I also enjoyed. Food-wise, we got to sample a decent portion of the menu being a party of four, though we didn't order any of the bigger entrees (mostly because we could not justify the price). Everything was great and the only reason this isn't five stars is just because I reserve that for experiences where things are mind-blowing/super memorable and as they say, it is called the Hall of Fame not the Hall of the Very Good. In any case, it's hard to pick out a favorite dish because we really enjoyed everything, but that is a good sign for the rest of the menu should you want to order something we didn't try. Everything was an A or A+ in this meal so I'll skip the letter grades for this review. Eats, below: Norwegian Yellowtail Tartare w/ Ezme, Borage, Sumac Light, delicate, relatively straightforward as far as tartares go but the ezme adds a nice touch that's a nod to the Mediterranean. Gem Lettuce Salad w/ Dill, Scallion, Cucumber, Sesame-Anchovy Vinaigrette Super fresh and delicious, perhaps a little Caesar-esque but with far more intrigue. Sugar Kiss Melon w/ Stracciatella Di Buffala, Spicy Coppa, 25 Year Balsamic We actually decided to nix this at the last second when we realized we may have ordered a bit too much food but our lovely server brought it anyway (she really made the night for us). This could even be a dessert-type dish if you'd like, but certainly works among the savory courses too. Charred Spanish Octopus w/ Potato, Mint, Aged Sherry The octopus was beautifully cooked and presented, seasoned well, no notes on that. The potatoes were decent but less exciting than the rest of the dish imo. Roasted Dorade w/ Tamarind Glaze, Pomegranate, Jalapeño, Herb Salad Absolutely loved this dish. According to our server, it's on the opposite end of the spectrum from the branzino, which is a cleaner, simpler preparation (and the whole fish), while this is a total flavor bomb. While I do love branzino, I'm glad we opted for this at less than half of the price. And I'm pretty sure the last time the four us went out for dinner we ordered a full fish and I'm pretty sure it was branzino so here's to shaking things up. Rocky Mountain Lamb Chops w/ Black Garlic, Ras El Hanout, Mint Chermoula Despite not usually being a red meat person I really loved these. Incredibly juicy and flavorful, making a strong case for being priced as high as they are. Honey Spiced Carrots Don't sleep on sides! Often an afterthought but they deserve a seat at the table, and these were good evidence of this.

I also really appreciate that they offer a gluten-free bun. The burger and fries were a satisfying portion without feeling overly heavy. This is a casual spot, but it consistently delivers delicious food at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a classic smash burger in the neighborhood, I would recommend.
