    Caramel macchiato
    Jad F.

I tried the iced caramel macchiato, which was delicious and reasonably priced at just $7. The place is well-equipped with plenty of charging ports and comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot for studying or working. The Wi-Fi is a huge plus, and the overall atmosphere is both quiet and conducive to productivity. The service is great !

staff is pretty helpful and walked me through the menu. The food itself was pretty mediocre and a little bit on the pricey side. There's a lot of people studying inside. typical café vibes

Turkey Bacon Egg & Cheese on a bagel, French Toast, Medium Iced Vanilla Latte
    Caitlin C.

I've been walking by this place for months and finally decided to stop in for breakfast. Overall, it wasn't great but not bad. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel - they only had turkey bacon so I had to get that even though I prefer pork bacon. We also got the french toast which was good but nothing special. The fruit on the side tasted like it was a little old. Food was definitely overpriced - we paid $35 for a drink, a sandwich, and a breakfast item. But, I liked my iced vanilla latte a lot. I got a medium and I think it was a good value for the price. When we ordered at the counter, we both felt like the girl had a bit of an attitude and seemed annoyed that we took a few minutes to look at the menu and were asking questions about the food. Overall, it's okay if you're passing by or in the area. I'll be back for the coffee but probably not the food.

Happened to bump into this cafe on a rainy day when I was craving a hot soup and an iced tea- which were excellent btw. However, I am knocking off one star because the place looked very dirty. Tables had crumbs on it, and the floor had a lot of trash on it and a bunch of flies inside that u kept having to seat away. Other than that, service was great- they brought my soup to me, and the food was tasty and I loved how I could people watch through the windows. Very old school, New York feel. I'll definitely return when I am looking for some comfy food or a nice drink to sip on.

The chai latte with oat milk was very good and I would highly recommend it. The service was quick and the servers were nice. I had the bacon egg and cheese with turkey bacon, it was a lackluster sandwich in comparison to other BEC that I have had. It was okay but left me unsatisfied. The ambiance is casual for those relaxing and also people working from the shop.

I walk by here all the time and wanted to check it out! There are some tables and a decent amount of seating and they have wifi. It felt very cozy inside and a good place to do work. I got a large Peppermint Mocha ($6.80), which was honestly not that good. Service wasn't anything special, no warm smiles or small talk. I would maybe come back to sit and catch up with a friend, given the ample amount of seating/space.

This place wasn't awful but it wasn't great either. The vibes when you walk in were kinda strange to me and the croissant was stale but had okay flavor. The cappuccino itself was way too big. A medium cappuccino should not be a thing, I think it should always be one size. This place feels like a place you would only come to because it's right by your house. I didn't hate it I didn't love it, wouldn't come back though.

I went here to take out a coffee! It is a small establishment that has good food and good coffee! The employees were very friendly and helpful! Everyone was sitting and having their food, except that there was a homeless person in the corner! It is rampant all over the city- so sad. People were trying to help her so that was positive.

Gotham Cafe is cozy local cafe not only to grab a bite to eat, but also get some work done without too much noise. My favorite place to sit is near the window where there is an outlet nearby. It's cool how you can either take your food to go, or you can have it delivered to your table with your number. A quasi takeout/sitdown place further contributes to the relaxed atmosphere, which initially attracted me to the cafe. I usually get an iced coffee with oatmilk and an egg salad sandwhich. While the food is good, it can be a bit pricey! Overall, Gotham Cafe is a neighborhood favorite and I'm looking forward to coming here more in the future. :)

Enjoyed the iced coffee and chocolate croissant. I like that they have a lot of nondairy milk options and don't charge extra for it. Price was very reasonable. Lots of seating inside and some outside as well. It's a bit dark inside for doing work imo, though there were people on their laptops.

Poppyseed Bagel With The Tofu Vegan Cream Cheese

Another place to get bagels. Gotham Cafe is a pretty crowded cafe. It has a typical look. Customers order at the counter and pay before they eat. The place needs some work. Bagels are the main thing here. It has a pretty large menu. The menu is pretty typical. It's about $5 for a bagel and a spread. They have a pretty large variety. A few other menu items include sandwiches, if you don't want a bagel. The last time here I came with my smoking hot friend. I had a poppyseed bagel with the tofu vegan cream cheese. She had a sesame bagel with the same spread on it. The bagels were okay but they were kind of stale. I might decide to come back. It didn't really impress us at all. The restroom always is out of order which is the most annoying thing.

I can't emphasize how excited I am for them to be here, bringing one of our best neighborhood bites to a new neighborhood which desperately needs more affordable and diversified options. This modern Vietnamese sandwich spot offers banh mi inspired by other East and Southeast Asian flavors. I personally like reaching for their regular banh mi and their lemongrass chicken banh mi. You would be remiss if you didn't get the banh mi or kimchi fries, and their monster rolls which are a newer creation but are essentially giant lumpia with any and all of the sauces they have available. Another plus is that they have pretty creative drinks, like their refreshers and virgin mojitos, for a nice little drink that isn't too calorie-dense depending on what you get. Welcome to the neighborhood Joju and I wish you all the success.

It's clearly more geared toward take out, and I fully intend to come back in the spring so I can take my sandwich to the park. I ordered the classic banh mi, with pork, headcheese, pork pate, mayo, carrot daikon slaw, cucumber, and cilantro. It was ready very quickly. The bun was perfectly toasted and fresh, crispy on the outside with a soft and light inside. For about $11 they packed a good amount of meat and veggies into the sandwich. The pork and headcheese were sliced nice and thin; and the fresh cilantro, crisp cucumber and tangy carrot/daikon complemented the meat nicely. My only complaint was that there was way too much mayo. I normally love mayo on a sandwich but even for me they put a lot. You can even see how much there is in the photo; I showed it to someone else and they thought it was cheese. Next time I think I'd tell them to go light on the mayo, or maybe get none at all.

Lump crab noodles -- on the lighter side which i rlly enjoyed; it tasted like a light garlic noodle with some hints of parmesan. They do use real crab, but you can taste that it's made with frozen crab. I did find myself drinking a lot of water after a few bites and felt it was a lil saltier than my preference. Saigon shaking beef -- get this! Beef is so tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce and pairing with the arugula and veggies were so delicious. This was also my mom and aunts fav! The sauce was so good we used it on the crab noodles. Bun cha hanoi -- the grilled pork patties that come in a separate small bowl were the highlight of this dish. The main dish did lack fresh ingredients imo; half the veggies were wilted and the lettuce had some bitterness to it indicating it was prob not the freshest. The vermicelli was quite hard and imo not cooked enough. The grilled pork slices were good, but i think most viet places ive gone tasted similar. Id def come again tho! I think the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and the staff were honestly some of the friendliest ive seen! They were so attentive despite being so busy. I didnt have a reservation prior, but the staff were so nice and accommodating and got us seated quickly. I sat near the door and overheard some of their interactions with other guests, and def think service alone was amazing! There's a small tiki bar with some specialty cocktails that i def want to try next time, but despite it being quite a small restaurant there's quite a few tables.
