Awesome neighborhood grab-and-go spot! I come here almost every morning for a breakfast sandwich and iced latte. I get a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and it is insanely good! Generous, warm, and tasty. The service is also so quick and friendly. They recognize me as a regular Not a place you can sit and eat -- it's just grab and go! Also, if you're looking for a high end bakery, this isn't the place for you. This is more of a quick grab and go! read more

The bagel was the highlight of this coffeeshop. It was very creamy and warm; would recommend this as a breakfast option on the go. We ordered a dirty chai and an earl grey tea latte. They were piping hot but not all that flavorful. The service was quick and efficient; there was only one staff member working. This is an in-and-out style cafe. There is not seating available and the shop is small to wait inside. Menu is rather limited compared to other coffeeshops in the area and pricing was higher than other locations, too. read more

Everyone here is sooooooo friendly! You can't come here and not leave with a smile on your face. It starts your day off right. A perfect cute local neighborhood spot to grab and go and get tour coffee or iced coffee . I haven't had a chance yet to try their food but from the other reviews it looks like it's awesome! Small and cute place for coffee/tea, smoothies, and sandwiches. Family owned from the looks of it. They made hearty sandwiches. The avocado tomato and egg was 6.50 and frankly was like a lunch portion. The ham cheese and egg too was quite big. I've been in here so many times I can't believe I never did a review. The muffins and scones are so good. I paid $3.50 for a huge Chocolate Chip Scone for breakfast. The two ladies behind the counter are always pleasant and friendly. It's a busy place so get what you came for and move on! The space is small but people used to sit inside. Too tiny a space for me. I got an iced latte with oat milk, and unfortunately this coffee just doesn't really compare to the other local shops' lattes. The taste and consistency are both lacking. I wouldn't get the coffee here again, but I'm seeing there are good reviews for breakfast sandwiches. Might give those a try! read more

I've been out looking for a good egg and cheese sandwich and wasn't having much success until I gave JJ Brown Cup a try. I ordered an egg, Swiss and sausage on a hard roll and it was just perfect. My recent experience with ordering egg sandwiches is that they have been flavorless. I don't know how someone manages that - but it's been happening constantly. The sandwich I picked up from this place was the exact opposite with the taste of the Swiss being clear and the sausage adding a perfect compliant. I am just so happy to have found this place. Take note - this is purely a take out space. There is no place to sit - and as the name implies, it's primarily a coffee joint (and I personally don't drink coffee) but despite this - if they can make an egg sandwich like the one I had today on a repeat basis, I'll definitely be back for more! read more

This small cafe is a NYC gem. Hidden amongst the other stores it offers from coffee, to muffins, to delicious freshly made breakfast sandwiches and more. The bread is fresh and each of my friends bragged about how soft and tasty their sandwiches were. I will definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

Great place to stop for some some coffee and a sandwich on the way to the park! I got the chicken pesto sandwich on ciabatta and it was really great. It came with a little orange slice on the side and was wrapped up and boxed well. The iced hazelnut latte was delicious too! And the woman working at the counter was friendly. read more

What a great little place! About the size of a phonebooth but lots to choose from in here. Coffees, smoothies, iced drinks, snacks pastries, sandwiches, etc. Such a welcome edition to the neighborhood, especially when the only places to get coffee up here is Dunkin Doughnuts and Starbucks. Dropped in yesterday and had a large house blend coffee for only $2. It was actually very tasty. Iced coffee is terrific too. Friendly staff that is so nice - I think it is family run. Hands down the worst coffee I have ever had. Watered down, Bizzarre aftertaste. The coffee is not freshly brewed. Kept in a flask. Tasted old. Couldn't drink more than a single sip. Went back to talk to them about my disappointment. They turned away and didn't care. Stay away! read more

I used to love this little place, I make sure to pay attention to tiny little places to make sure Starbucks doesn't take over every corner of our beautiful city (just every other corner haha) but have to start making juice at home. Perhaps they r friendly but not really part of our neighborhood - I was there every day n then forgot my water bottle on the way to the gym- so figured they knew me, right? Wrong!!!! No water for u!!! Sorry!!! That defeats the purpose of tiny holes in the wall like this one- it should be personal and close knit and be part of a neighborhood. They only care about making a profit while saving on rent. This little hole in the wall can go back to where it came from!!!! When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). They just need to get a bigger dining room so they can seat more parties because they always seem to be booked full!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.

Upon entry, it was a quaint place with a wall of old cameras and few tables, chairs & stools. The place was fairly full with friends talking and people working. Thankfully I found a small round table and stool, put my stiff down and decided to order brunch item and a drink. I ordered the prosciutto scramble & an iced latte. The drink was quickly made and I got it in a few minutes while I wait for the food. The scramble came and it was hot. The egg was soft and moist. On top was prosciutto and grated Parmesan. On the side was a croffle. The latte was smooth and not bitter. Overall enjoy the food. I will come back.
