A Local Gem with Parisian Charm Just moved into the neighborhood and stumbled upon Café Bieriot--what a find. The interior is cozy and inviting, the sidewalk seating always has someone enjoying their coffee, and the vibe is just right. The owner was warm and welcoming, and made me a fantastic latte. I had the croissant, which was warm, flaky, and just the right texture--not too greasy, not too dense. Very well done. Prices are exactly what you'd expect for the area, and the food and drink options make this a perfect neighborhood spot for breakfast or lunch. Definitely looking forward to becoming a regular.

The chocolate almond croissant was super good. There was more almond than chocolate but it was yummy. Their coconut caffe mocha was tasty not mind blowing. The service was good and the vibes were cute. Would recommend if in the area.

I stopped in for a quick break and tried the carrot cake muffin called "morning glory" for 3 dollars--sweet and tasted just like something homemade. I also had a coffee, which was pretty standard but satisfying. They have a nice range of drink options beyond coffee, including a chai latte, turmeric chai, matcha, and more. Standard city prices about 6-7 do The space is small and cozy, with room for about 10-15 people inside. It's dark and quaint indoors, which might feel charming in the evening, but during the day I found myself wishing for a bit more sunlight. There are a few outdoor tables, so it's a decent option if you're solo and just want a quiet spot. Most of the pastries were sold out by the time I arrived, which I'll take as a good sign--they looked great and probably go fast for a reason. The place has a warm, authentic feel, and you can tell it's run by a passionate small business owner. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I've gone here a couple of times using Too good to go - awesome they're helping fight food waste. Definitely have to go another time to support this great business. The service is impeccable and both the very friendly and pleasant owner and her son make it such a great experience. Their food is always fresh and quite delicious. And the decor makes the ambience both fun, nostalgic, and very enjoyable.

Support small business in your neighborhood! This lovely cafe is located on the beautiful UES between the 2nd & the 3rd Avenue. It has been doing business for last five years or so but it's my first time visiting here while waiting on my hair stylist next door, Tokuyama UES on the 83rd street. The freshly baked warm almond croissant with a latte was just perfect for me to start this beautiful Autumn day ! Highly recommend.

Great little Cafe within walking distance from the MET! Very limited seating option inside with a couple more tables outside. The place is small but very cozy to relax, work, or meet up with a friend! After 5pm, all party items are buy 1 get 1 free, so was a nice treat for our group! The coffee and smoothies were all fresh and hit the spot after a long day walking Central Park and the MET! The service was friendly and very helpful. Enjoy!

Cute little shop with a great ambiance. Coffee is delicious, as is the food. We have come multiple times now. I recommend both paninis and the morning glory muffin. The owner is super sweet and kind. Great service

Wow, if you want a non corporate coffee and the most amazing sweets then Cafe Bleriot is your place to stop. We ordered an iced cappuccino and a hot cappuccino which were perfect. Then we we "had" to order the cannels and went to heaven. The best desert with a coffee you can imagine. Give it a try

A tiny place tucked away and easy to miss. They have three small tables inside which is not bad considering the size of this place. Almond croissant was ok, I have had much better ones in the neighborhood. Plain croissant was delicious and perfect. I may be back to try their menu with quiches etc

If looks could kill... This coffee shop is no less than a gorgeous art gallery. Moment u step in, it gives u a feel of an entirely different world. It's a family run business by a couple, we met the wife who seems to be super nice and hospitable. They serve great quality coffee and large variety of pastries, croissants and quiches, makes for a good breakfast option at UES. Only problem being the older place is small with limited seating capacity outdoors. Got to be lucky to grab an empty spot.

Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but the coffee was mediocre at best. Espresso in the cappuccino wasn't strong enough to taste.

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

Let me tell you why this coffee shop stands above the rest:…read more 1. They use quality beans. I'm a home barista and use Oslo's beans for my americanos. When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). They just need to get a bigger dining room so they can seat more parties because they always seem to be booked full!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
