Found myself at this nice coffee spot for a brief business meeting. The workers are thoughtful, patient, and kind. My co-diner hadn't even ordered anything and they kindly let them sit around. Eventually I arrived and got something for us both. The menu includes many options: healthy, sweet, smoothies, coffees, snacks, and more wholesome meals such as sandwiches. And they have a good deal of seating. read more

The place was busy, though mostly for drink orders , prices were high, so I expected something g really nice. What I ordered: a Chicky Chick chicken sandwich, on a toasted everything bagel, with mustard added to the sandwich, and a cappuccino. What a got: a very stale and COLD regular bagel, with no mustard added and a nice cappuccino. The chicken salad was generous in size but completely bland and dry - salty, but no spices or anything else added to liven it up and make it moister. Just a big bleh. I expected much better, especially when a price tag for one sandwich and a cappuccino was $20 before tip. read more

Got an iced matcha with oat milk. It's New Year's Eve, so even though they close at 5, they only have pre packaged food after 4. All good because it's a holiday. Store was clean, server was apologetic but didn't need to be! Super quick line and very chill spot. read more

I love a good chai and the coffee inn definitely met my expectations! It's the perfect amount of sweetness. They have a ton of beverage and food options at reasonable prices. Very impressed with this small nook of a coffee shop on the UES. The service here is really friendly, and they serve up a tasty cup o' joe. Plus, they offer a small assortment of pastries and the muffins are really good. No bathroom or much seating other than by the window. Worth a stop by if in the area and you need a caffeine pickup. read more

Great coffee and food - but unfortunately they do not take food allergies seriously. Twice I have ordered a gluten free bagel and twice received a regular bagel. The first time, I took a bite and immediately double checked with the cashier. They assured me it was gluten free. I ate it and got sick. Second time I made the cashier check with the kitchen and they did - and came back and said it was not gluten free and they would remake it. Close call. I wish they would fix their systems, and train the entire staff on the seriousness of food allergies. Because their GF bagels are actually very good! But I'm too scared to eat there anymore. read more

I went to the Coffee Inn after hearing great things about their "Cookies and Cream" flavored coffee. I tried the raving coffee for myself along with a "Banana Caramel" flavored donut. Comfy and cozy neighborhood coffee spot. Rich in taste are their own roasted Columbian beans. Skillful are their baristas. Whether staying put or to-go, great are their coffee and coffee drinks served. Only in a bind and real hungry would I pick up another food item that's been sitting there for awhile in the afternoon. Coffee Inn was a spur of the moment experience on my way to Tasti D Lite! I decided I'd check it out because I hadn't heard of the company. It was busy inside but very well organized and with efficient customer service. I saw the price on the small drip coffee and decided to try it. It was a little bitter until I added two Sweet n Low and the instant creamer that I carry with me. After that I enjoyed sitting outside at one of the many bright colored tables and chairs. Everything was clean and I was comfortable. I highly recommend. Just remember the line gets long but it moves quickly. Most people are waiting for their orders to be prepared. The employees are hard at work. They have lots of pastry items if you're hungry. read more

Friendly staff and reasonably priced coffee with overpriced pastries. The service is friendly, but they made the coffee orders for two people who came in and ordered after me, before they made my iced latte. Also, their espresso must be a dark (French) roast, unfortunately, because it tasted burnt. read more

This is a cute place that you almost wouldn't notice walking by but they have a few chairs and tables set up outside you can sit and sip your coffee. It's a small space inside so doesn't seem like even normally you would stay here long but they have a really cute interior with coffee beans you can purchase directly from them. I got a large americano and they asked me if I wanted milk in my mine and put it in directly rather than leaving room for it. I've never gotten an americano like that but liked that the milk was also warmed up. All I can say is WOW - best americano I've ever had. It was strong and flavors balanced well. I've gotten used to the sort of watered down americanos( which I don't mind just for comparison) and this was not at all what I was expecting -- in a good way. There's a lot of cafes in this area that I have on my list to explore but this is now a staple one that I will keep returning to. read more

Finally found a quality place to get breakfast and sandwiches all day around here. Pic is of a bacon egg & cheese on poppyseed bagel. We had an hour before my sons doctors appointment and decided to stop in at The Coffee Inn. Spent $30 on some snacks, drinks and subpar coffee. After a few minutes my kid had to pee. We asked the barista and he said normally they don't allow customers to use the bathroom, but that for a kid it should be fine. He went in the back and asked the manager, who, very firmly said no, and yelled at him for even asking. I had to gather our things, all the food and drinks we purchased and move to another coffee shop down the block who very kindly allowed my child to pee. Steer clear of this not so friendly and not so community based coffee shop. read more

I agree with my fellow Yelpers who gave Coffee Inn high marks. I stopped here in between my Manhattan errands to have an oatmilk white mocha latte. Say that three times fast! Ha! The flavoring definitely didn't overwhelm the delicious richness of the coffee. As I recently told a fellow Yelper and friend, I had a hard time throwing my cup away because I wanted to savor every last sip. Staff and customers are very friendly and respectful. Planning more city errands just so I can return here. read more

Imagine opening a door to a pretend library loaded with coffee aroma, fresh baked goods and a team of baristas ready to crack out your order....The coffee here packs a punch! I ordered a quad shot vanilla latte and sure tasted the espresso! :) I don't understand why people frequent Starbucks when you have much better establishments like these. Top notch customer service! I just randomly walked in to get some regular iced chai tea & my bf got the spiced chai with soy. Both taste really good! You taste the spice but not too strong which I like. The person behind the counter name Dex is very friendly & he chit chat with us for a little bit. He suggested some drinks that we might like & explained it to us. Theirs this one lady that walks in & I observed that the person behind the counter know her & what shes going to get coz shes a regular customer in that cafe. How nice is that! Taste & customer service is very important to me thats why I'm giving this cafe a 5 star. The interior of this cafe is cute with some books that displays inside. I thank the coffee lords everyday that I am blessed enough to live across the street from this espresso haven. Not only are the prices unbeatable for the neighborhood, but they are so friendly and welcoming. I've seen them offer free coffee to so many people unable to pay and they know their regulars! They have delicious flavors of cold brew like Swiss chocolate almond and cookies and cream that I haven't seen anywhere else. Coffee Inn is truly a special place. Even though it is take out only, it still feels like home. FYI there is usually a line but it moves fast! I love this place so much!!! read more

Go for the flavored coffees! The flavors taste brewed-in and don't come from added syrups. I kept trying iced coffee from other places and didn't any, but The Coffee Inn's iced swiss chocolate almond with half and half was a TOTAL gamechanger. I've had it five days straight since. The customer service here is fantastic, the line moves real fast which is great because in the morning it can get crowded. 4/5 because in the past I've tried their chai (too sweet for me) and their chocolate croissant + egg and cheese danish were just okay. When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). They just need to get a bigger dining room so they can seat more parties because they always seem to be booked full!

The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. Upon entry, it was a quaint place with a wall of old cameras and few tables, chairs & stools. The place was fairly full with friends talking and people working. Thankfully I found a small round table and stool, put my stiff down and decided to order brunch item and a drink. I ordered the prosciutto scramble & an iced latte. The drink was quickly made and I got it in a few minutes while I wait for the food. The scramble came and it was hot. The egg was soft and moist. On top was prosciutto and grated Parmesan. On the side was a croffle. The latte was smooth and not bitter. Overall enjoy the food. I will come back.
