Pros: loved the inside , very well decorated café. There's plenty of seats, and lots of beautifully laid out pastries. This spot is in a great location too, not too far from the Met and near a lot of shops. Service was fine, they quickly prepared my drink! Cons: I didn't enjoy my iced latté. I don't know how to explain it other than that the espresso tasted a little over roasted or burnt? I'm not sure if they roast their own beans but it did kind of ruin the drink a bit for me.

Tasty coffee with a beautiful atmosphere and decor! I got an Iced Americano with half and half and caramel syrup - standard latte and a bit on the sweeter side. The service was speedy and the cashier was kind. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy time with friends after the Met or onto your next adventure in the city.

I would have to say this is the nicest and cleanest coffee shop I have been to in NYC! The coffee and the pastries were amazing. I would say the coffee and the service was the best we have gotten for a small coffee spot. The blueberry and apple cake were the perfect addition to the afternoon coffee. Came back almost everyday after a walk in Central Park. For sure will be back when back in NYC!

Didn't get any pictures of it but had an iced coffee with almond milk and a chocolate muffin around 2:30 pm this afternoon and both were unfortunately awful. Coffee was burnt and bitter, and the chocolate muffin was literally bite sized and ROCK HARD as if it had been sitting out for days. If you have a problem with your food getting stale consider better storage. Would not come back or recommend. Giving 2 stars because we found seats right away and service was pretty quick.

We stopped by Peaky Barista after several hours exploring The Met. We needed a light breakfast/snack before our walk back thru Central Park to our hotel. I had a Chai Latte and my daughter had some sort of vanilla latte. Both were great. We each selected a slice of banana bread as well. It seemed a little stale, but we were so hungry that we devoured it anyway! Cute little coffee shop on the Upper East Side, pretty convenient to The Met.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Peaky Barista. Unfortunately didn't love my coffee here :/ Maybe just an off day, but the milk didn't blend easily into the espresso; the espresso tasted bitter - perhaps a burnt roast vs overextracted? the foam was lacking and architecturally unstable and the blueberry cake, while enticing visually, was dry and not jammy. Came around 12pm in a weekday. I love new cafes and wish them all the success so maybe when I return it will be better but for now, not my favorite in the neighborhood. It's charming inside and the service was kind and helpful, and they have a variety of pastries to choose from so maybe I just chose the wrong thing? Anyways, I may return some other time and update review at that time. Nice place to sit and get some work done or reading done though!

Really cute little place with window seating as well as a few small two-seaters and a communal table. All of the seats are stools (no backs). I saw a few people doing work and spreading out so it's definitely a vibe. I will say it was surprisingly hot inside, though? And not only was the heat blasting; it was also super humid. I ordered an iced mocha and first and foremost I must point out that they have BENDY straws. Is it the best for the environment-- no. But do bendy straws to wonders for my own mood? Yes. The coffee itself was smooth and blended with the mocha syrup well. This was definitely on the sweeter side as far as mochas go, though. I like sweet things so it wasn't a huge deal, but when even I can tell that it's getting a little sweet, I see it as something to note. There was a huge variety of baked goods that I didn't get to try this time around, but next time for sure!

SUPER cute coffee shop! Peaky Barista had some really lovely decor and a good amount of seating for a small coffee shop. I thought it was a great spot for taking a call or doing work as the music was also not too loud. The service was fast and efficient. I got a pastry and thought it was fresh and not too sweet (if a little bit expensive, but I also ended up there for a few hours, so it was worth it). It was, however, really hot inside. It made it feel difficult to enjoy a hot beverage.

Sometimes a Google search could be helpful. I had free time after visiting an exhibit at the Met and needed a cafe with wifi. This place popped up and it was a quick walk from there. This is a cute place. I kept on thinking it was called Peaky Barista instead due to the caps that lined one of the walls that were for sale. (Plus watching clips of Peaky Blinders). There were plants and it seemed bright and open with the design choices even though it is a small space. As mentioned before, there is wifi and it works generally well. Funnily enough, there was only one apparent socket in the cafe, near the table. So it might not work as well as a study location if you need a laptop but good for conversations or time with a book. There were the typical cafe options but they had something called Balkan coffee that seemed interesting plus seasonal specials like strawberry chocolate lattes and a strawberry lemonade (the latter I chose). The also had food items for breakfast and lunch. I had a ham and cheese on a roll that they warmed up for me. It was generally nice! While I won't go out of my way to come here again, if I am in the area, I could stop by for a break

It's hard for coffee shops to get five stars in a place like New York City but this one easily makes the mark. There's a wide array of caffeinated and decaffeinated, selections, pastries, and frittatas that come packed with plenty of punch. What I love most about this coffee shop is the "open air" atmosphere while sitting up at the bar, facing Lexington Avenue on a nice section of foot traffic. The barista was extremely friendly, helping to accommodate our infant with cutlery and small bowls to assist with feeding efforts. The shop is very clean and has nicely decorated tables plus barstools, creating a vibe for both studying and meeting someone for a serious conversation. Highly recommend the spot and plan to return in the near future!

This coffee shop is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. It has a very cozy vibe to it and they have indoor seating. Whenever I come in there are people in here having work meetings, or doing work. I usually get their Hot or iced Lattes. They are tasty and strong.

Ordered a Cortado. It was great!!! Customer service was also great!!!! They use a good roast.

Cute little spot to grab a coffee. They feature Stumptown beans which are always a winner. The latte was tasty and reasonably priced. Note there was a big table and bar seating but it's a bit tight and they discourage bringing in your computers on weekends to work.

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though.
