    Tuna French Toast w/ Fruits

This is a cute little spot on Roosevelt in Jackson Heights. I came with a group of 4 and we were seated as we arrived (did not have to wait for everyone to arrive). The waitress was very friendly and patient as we kept asking for more time to look at the menu. At one point we asked the table next to us what they ordered and we got that as well. We all got a drink as well- cold brew, a matcha strawberry drink, a strawberry drink, and a latte. They were solid choices. The food was delicious and all of us pretty much cleared our plates. Had we not gotten momos to share, we would have cleaned out plates! 10/10 recommend coming here.

Another breakfast set from breakfast/ brunch menu. For drinks we had coffee and chai. We ordered bacon egg and cheese on a brioche bun and a breakfast platter. Both breakfast options were good but was bit oily for me. There foods are always greasy with butter. I wished they use less butter, but hey it's the butter that makes it good. Matcha creme latte was okay. Very mild matcha flavor, strawberry creme was good which tasted like melona icecream and was overpowering the taste of matcha. Their service is great as always.

Finally tried this spot for brunch and was very disappointed. The ingredients seemed fresh but was not cooked well. The eggs were not runny as I asked for, the potatoes were hard as rocks, the daal was very very watery almost like a drink and everything lacked flavor. I love Himalayan food and it usually has incredible flavors but this place just did not. Also when the server brought the food out her finger was in our food yuck. 3/10

Wish this place was bigger. It's a tight space & very busy. Mango smoothie ($8.71) - w/o nuts. The banana flavor was stronger than the mango flavor. Would appreciate more mango & less banana. Great otherwise. Similar to mango lassi.

Tried a new spot for Mother's Day brunch. Small but lots of ambiance. Lavender, strawberry lemonades, and lavender latte...very flavorful and delicious. House Complete breakfast (spicy potatoes, salad, avocado, jam, fruit, eggs, and toast) with side of bacon. Catmandoo's Special Brunch (spicy potatoes and chick peas, eggs, and like a roti bread), then an order of waffles, and French toast. Everything was so good, and excellent customer service. Will be back again.

We tried this place during the 12th annual momo crawl event on 9/15/2024. There was a line out the door, so while waiting, we took notice of the sign of menu specials. Coffee and diverse teas and interesting drinks are offered on a posted menu along with some standard baked goods, however, the specials did not seem to reflect a Himalayan type cuisine, but I also did not see an actual menu. It is a very small and intimate space. We found the momos (beef) to be bland and the accompanying sauce pretty much flavorless except for the heat. We would not return for these.

What a cute cafe. I have been passing by this cafe for over a year and finally went inside for brunch. It's a cute and cozy spot, staff was very friendly, food was good. Highly recommend the lychee peachy refresher. Will go back and try more things.

Came to cafe catmandoo on a random Sunday without any reservations and without any wait time. Street parking outside that could be a bit hard to find. The restaurant is pretty small and cute, cozy atmosphere. Our servers were nice and explained the menu to us, but it's more like self-serve and you order at the counter and they bring the food for you. We ordered a bunch of stuff and we've never tried Himalayan cuisine before so we were very curious about it. It did not disappoint! Loved the rose latte and pretty much every dish we got, especially the burrata and momos. The price was pretty reasonable we spend about $40 per person and obviously as you can see ordered a lot of food and even had some to take home. Everything were unique for a first timer and and we would love to come again!

I stumbled upon this place by accident as I was running extremely late for a meeting and needed wifi asap. They are so kind that you don't even need to purchase anything in order to use their wifi. Seating is a bit tight but they do have a laptop free zone and a laptop only zone for when it's busier. The bagel is perfect. I definitely recommend that. I also ordered the affogato which isn't a personal favorite of mine. Once all the ice cream is gone, it becomes super bitter. It's definitely an acquired taste.

I LOVE this cafe! Everyone I have taken to this cafe loves it as well! The drinks are amazing and it is a great place to either sit down or take to go. The service is great and they are super friendly. I highly recommend this cafe for coffee. I still have to check out their evening activities but I'm sure they are great as well!

I think we got 7 items one which was $36, but there are options for 5 items $27 and 3 items $17. Each is served with Served with toasted baguette slices, grapes, fig jam, and whole grain mustard. We also had the The Champignon Pizza which was made of Fresh Herb Sauce, Mushroom Medley, Red Onion Confit, Fresh Mozzarella, Goat Cheese, White Truffle Oil ($17) and Truffle Mac N Cheese made of Black & White Truffle, Aged Gruyere Mac n Cheese ($17). Wow everything was so delicious! We ate and ate and kept ordering! For dessert we decided on Creme Brûlée ($12). Check came out to about $200 before tip. Inside it was such a great atmosphere. Looked like lots of locals were there. We came on Friday night and learned they are playing live music every week. We jammed to some pre 2000 pop/rock songs. It was so great we DID NOT want to leave! It turned out the owner and one of my friends know each other from social media and he comped our dessert which was so sweet of him to do! We already made a date with my friends to come back next Friday! We literally cannot believe we didn't think of coming here sooner, but better late then never!

It is also beautifully decorated with a table in the middle that's used when they do wine tastings usually Friday and Saturday which I hear are awesome! Now that's what I call a wine store! Also they carry vegan wines! As I'm writing this review I'm enjoying a Alta Pavina Pago La Pavina 2009 wine I just purchased at their store and it's amazing! While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.

Branzino Special with Cannelli Beans and Swiss Chard. This was the winner of the evening. The cripsy skin was amazing. The fish was cooked to perfection, the cannelli beans I thought were going to be weird but it added a nice creaminess to the fish. Lastly the swiss chard was crunchy on the ends and nice and tender on the leaf. This should be put on the regular menu. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=xNVfJCmf89OOY-1ME3FY7Q Controfiletto- grilled prime angus N.Y. strip steak served with roasted marble potatoes. I hate to say it but as good as the steak was, the roasted potatoes was the star of show. The potatoes were amazing. Pappardelle alla Bolognese- housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce. This was good but came off a bit plain. The pasta was homemade but it was almost to a fault since the pasta came out too soft. The flavors were good but I felt this would have been a better, reheated the next day kind of dish.
