My son turned 21 and wanted to share his first legal drink so I decided to take him to Maggie Mae's and it turned out to be a great experience. It's nice place and the bar tenders are friendly and helpful. He had a rosemary bourbon and it was perfect.

Loved this spot! Such a solid place for an excellent drink. By far, one of the most delicious espresso martinis iv ever had. That foam was so on point and delicious. They don't have any food but they have some popcorn in a classic little box. The ambiance is pretty cool. Old rustic vibes with Edison bulbs and a lovely bartender + staff. Place got packed the later it got and great music. Totally recommend and insanely reasonably priced cocktails.

Love the place ! Came on a Wednesday thinking it was gonna be death but very good business this people have ! Pack midweek ! Love it here

My husband & I went there with our friends on Thursday night and it was semi-crowded. We picked a booth in the back and I totally enjoyed the chill vibe and decor -- gave me the feels like we were in a bar in the east village, but paying a few dollars cheaper per drink! I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but it's gotta be 4 for now due to the slowness. We should have just been sat closer to the bar and near the bartender. At least there's some popcorn served while one of us trying to get any staff's attention so we could order drinks! After maybe 20 mins or more, one of us had to walk up to the bar to order our drinks. Took awhile for them to show that we were joking at least we had free popcorn and walkout if they would just continue to ignore us. I had Prickly Cactus Pear Margarita ($10) which I really liked while the rest got Maple Old Fashioned ($11), Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour ($12) and Smoking Bulleit ($12). We wish we could have ordered more drinks but the place got super packed as the time went by and no one had come for us. We would def come back to try other drinks though. Perhaps be back on a much a slower night since we aren't so keen on the forever wait. We still enjoyed the night, drinks, and I also appreciated them checking vaccination card right when we got in.

Maggie Mae's is a casual bar and good for group of people. You can bring food form outside because they only have drinks. Bartender is nice and friendly even the night we went it was only her working. We got all drinks, didn't miss anything. The place has plenty room and tables to hang out. Price point is good so if you like simple and easy or just want to chill out and talk with friends, I recommended.

Nice bar... FYI doesn't serve food, it's solely a bar. You can bring your food or get it delivered there. The drinks are very good here, and they're pretty too. They have a variety of old fashioned cocktails, some tequila, and vodka mixes. Their contact less menu has photos of all the drinks. Drinks are on the stronger side. I would definitely come here again. My rating is solely on the drink bar atmosphere. If this place has had food and I could rate it a six I would

    Hone sweet home!

This Place is great, good vibes, good people Emma is amazing I come here every single Tuesday I haven't missed one since the last five years I recommend the Moscow Mule. Definitely my favorite go to bar.

Maggie Mae's is a cocktail bar / pub located in Sunnyside, Queens area of New York City (established in 1995). Came with a group of friends and sat in the front booth. I ordered their Blackberry Fence Hopper (Tito's Vodka, Muddled Blackberries, Honey & Lemon Juice, and Seltzer). *Licks Lips* Their menu also includes other cocktails, beers, and wines. ENJOY!!

Cute spot with nice cocktails. My dad, brother in law + sister loved Maggie Mae's - I didn't enjoy my cocktail, but I think it's just a one-time thing. The bartender was really sweet and accommodating, so that helped enhance our experience. I ordered the blackberry fence hopper but it was kind of sour, so I asked for a simple syrup which helped! I think if I go back, I'd other the rosemary maple bourbon sour because that was DELISH. The pink lemonade drink is decent too, and my dad loves their old fashioned so it worked out. Theres also free popcorn if you ask!

Maggie Mae's bar is a rustic old looking style local bar on Sunnyside neighborhood. It is spacious, dim lit and organized. Interior decor is a mix of rustic and divey style. It has two 20" tvs on the bar. Staff were attentive and professional. They have a Whiskey bar section (lower level) which is reserved for special events. Prices are reasonable and competitive. I ordered Bell's ale. There's a two beer minimum for ccard. A great place to chill and watch sports. And meet friends. Side street parking only. The #7 train subway is 1 block away. Overall, its a good bar with a great service.

I rarely travel to Sunnyside Queens, so you know I came here for a special occasion. My friends boyfriend set up a private birthday event in the Whiskey Room downstairs and I was pleasantly surprised by the decor. It's no surprised that I'm a big fan of a dim light setting with lit candles around the room and this setting was just that. Big shoutout the Chel the bartender who was on point all night and a super chill individual. The cocktail menu is interesting as they offer some fancy signature drinks, but I was sipping on Old fashioned all night which I just couldn't enough of (until I actually had one too many). Around 10pm they have a DJ that comes on playing mostly hip hop with some other genres of music. I'm a fan of this place and so was everyone who attended the party. I would honestly travel all the way back to Sunnyside Queens to enjoy this spot again. Next time I'll give the upstairs a try as well as their food. If ever in Sunnyside and looking for a place to dance while enjoying some delicious cocktails, then this place is for you.

Great drinks and friendly service! Only Problem was the lack of staff. They are friendly and make great drinks but having one bartender serving the entire bar at 6:30 on a Thursday. We would have stayed for 4 or more drinks but only stayed for 2 because of how long service took.

This was my second time visiting Maggie maes, it ha as very rustic vibe but cozy. The music is throwback 2010. The bartenders know what they are doing and keeps the bar very clean which is a huge + for me. As for drinks, they have frozen prosecco and it's strong and delicious! They have bunch of beers on tap. It seems like it gets busy on weekend nights! They also have a dance floor downstairs but I haven't seen it fill up..

As I said it's a snug spot. Definitely make reservs if you want a table. After a certain age I realized I may need a seat. LOL. The crowd also tends to be a little more mature, so if you're 30+ and looking for an older crowd, this may be your type of place. The food selection, however, is pretty limited, and the music really seems to depend on which DJ is there. Some DJs are good and others are just okay. The last time I went was Wednesday, July 29, and while I had an okay time, the DJ really wasn't all that. My biggest concern, though, is the liquor. My usual drink is Grey Goose or Tito's with soda water. I drink this regularly at home and at other places without waking up with a headache. Both times I visited The Record Room, I specifically ordered Grey Goose with soda water, and both times I woke up with a significant headache. The first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it could have been a coincidence. That's actually one of the reasons I was willing to go back. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened after my second visit. I obviously cannot confirm what was actually poured, but because this has happened both times at this particular establishment, it does make me question whether I was actually being served the liquor I requested and paid for. When you're paying top-shelf prices, you should feel confident that you're receiving the brand you ordered. Overall: nice ambiance, mature crowd, limited food options, hit-or-miss DJs, and unfortunately a liquor experience that has now left me questioning what I was served twice. For those reasons, 2 out of 5 stars for me.

The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.
