This has always been one of my favorite Panera Bread stores. Besides the food which was totally delicious, I love the turkey and cheese, the flavor and texture of the sandwich makes my mouth water. Added to that one of my favorite Panera Bread soups The French Onion. All the Panera Bread Stores sell exactly the same food however what other store's don't have is Carter. One of the managers Carter is an excellent employee who has the best customer service skills and is great at double tasking and if fast and correct in all the order's to make sure no customer has too wait too long. Panera Bread try to have more employees like Carter and that will be beneficial for the Panera brand. read more

On a Friday morning the Panera is busy. Groups of aunties and uncles all hanging out chatting up a storm. Everyone have there favorite corner to sit and circle their wagons. The space is a large at this location. They even have a private room near the back. Food is popular and good as always. Service is fine and the decor is standard "Panera." Been here numerous times to meet up with friends for lunch and just to go shopping. The Panera Bread at Bay Terrace Shopping Center is always filled with patrons. Definitely, feel like I'm at a shopping mall. There was a long line of patrons waiting to place orders. I used the kiosk for the very first time. Just place your order at the kiosk and then go wait for your order as they staff prepare meal. Was not a long wait to get prepared meal. Lots of chairs and tables to sit and enjoy your meal. Will definitely start using the kiosk to place orders. Been ordering food to go on numerous visits. It's a quite a drive to get home and the sandwiches were still piping hot. Tip- Sign up and join MyPanera to get rewards and discounts. Went for the BOGO5 which was buy a sandwich get the second sandwich for $5 bucks. There are many promotions going on all the time. Never ever go here! Ever! I ordered at 12:33 and never got a text telling me my order was ready. It was busy and I went to the counter inquiring about my order at 1:15 to which they said it's been sitting there. I was on the back corner so how would I know THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE THE TEXT! I told them I wanted a refund which they gave to me 15 minutes later. No sorry, no offer of anything. The Manager should be FIRED! Absolutely ridiculously if I could give it a 0 star rating I would. This is the most appalling experience! I called the store to speak with a manager and she refused to hear my story. I ordered a salad without chicken - the salad was half empty! Really? I enjoyed my salad the Avocado, eggs, chicken, tomatoes & cilantro dressing were fresh, well mixed & cut into bite-size pieces that I enjoyed. My husband enjoyed his chicken salad sandwich with a bag of chips on the side. It's a good fast clean and fresh stop when we're on the road. Grabbed food here and got my usual Green goddess cob salad with chicken and broccoli cheddar soup while my boyfriend got the fuji apple salad with chicken and smoky buffalo chicken melt. We didn't know the smoky buffalo chicken melt was a hero. We had to split it to 2 pieces and share it. Their baguettes are delicious. Food tasted alright but seems unhygienic the way the food is packed with no wrap / paper just tossed in a brown bag and the atmosphere is dark and musty. Price was on the higher side as well. Overall wouldn't recommend. There are much better bakery type spots in Queens. read more

Wow, location of this Panera is great. I'd never been to this shopping mall before, and it is a great one. Huge plus. The Panera itself has a ton of space and seating inside, much more than any other branch I've been to. Small plus. This visit is not like my ordinary visit so I'm basically rating this visit. I got a warm bowl which was not really warm. The cashier did a wonderful job with suggestive selling in this one. This place is noisier than the Mets stadium when they are up by one point. This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is fresh and hot and other times they will serve the food cold. Today I came in with my family for an early dinner and both of my family members received a cold soup and a cold sandwich. When they went to change their order, they were told that their food temperature was fine. They finally decided to change the order but in the meantime the supervisor, Katy was yelling at her employees in front of us which made us feel uncomfortable. When the supervisor noticed I was talking about her to my family member, she came at me and asked me "do you have something to say" in a very nasty attitude and I told her I did have something to say, I said her attitude was disgusting and that she shouldn't be talking to customers like that if she is a supervisor. I have never been to this location without them being out of stock of at least one item I am craving. They always fail to order the correct amount of food for their hungry customers. You would think Panera bread would be in stock of bread but maybe that's just my high expectation. The drink station is always messy or lacking the appropriate beverage lids. Once I even saw a patron stick his index finger in the top opening of the green tea vat to give it a sampling thus contaminating the entire batch. After said gentlemen fingered the green tea I witnessed another shapely hunched over man fill his cup up and enjoy the extra flavor. Plenty of parking. Staff is always rude and not helpful. It's almost like we are a bother to them. Some frizzled haired gentlemen always seems to be there not purchasing anything and sipping his outside coffee. They should crack down on the free loading seat takers since seating is always lacking. The extra seating is always closed due to staff not wanting to clean it seemingly. One of my favorite meals of all time is the Panera Bread Pick Two. The combo varies with sandwiches, salads, and soups but the main items that are always a good pair are the broccoli cheddar soup and asian sesame chicken salad. The salad box was super clean with nice presentation but the salad dressing was too small. I tried the broccoli cheddar Mac and cheese and although the Mac was smooth and soft, the broccoli cheddar soup tastes a lot better with a side baguette. There is quick pick up parking located in front of the restaurant. Everyone has their temperature taken upon entering. The pick up stations are behind the counter and and associate needs to be called to pick up the order. The online ordering was efficient and the orders were made in only 10 minutes- super fast. read more

I wanted to buy a bag of cookies but the line was all way to the door because there was only 1 register open. The pick up was not ready till 1050am even tho they emailed us it was ready. Order $ 19, Baja Bowl with Chicken with Extra Avocado with No Red Grape Tomatoes with Extra Chicken,  Broccoli Cheddar Soup French Baguette. I drive all the way home to find out there was 0 chicken. And a rip open bag chips all over the bread . Drove all the way back to get a refund of $19 and some bread, obviously ate lunch elsewhere . And I forgot my kids still didn't get Chips. I am a regular at Panera and absolutely love it. But I was served severely undercooked, nearly raw chicken in my salad. Manager denied, told me it was "normal" and gave me a refund. I said, it's normal to serve raw chicken in your salads? "Yes, it's normal, we serve raw chicken in our salad." I came in so close to their closing time, almost 10PM tonight and thought I wouldnt be able to place an order, however to my surprise, Very friendly staff and their summer lobster is back in full effect , totally love them lol yes, they placed my dinner order and with a smile too. And they always have the self service, unlimited drink refills so can't really go wrong there (smoothie doesn't apply, best to ask prior to ordering if that's your goal) I ordered the lobster roll with their pick two options so I can get part of a salad with my sandwich. The lobster roll is paid at full price so I got the whole sandwich and not their half and half thing for this pick two offer. The lobster roll consisted of mostly claw meat, no tail parts of the lobster from all of my ordering of this sandwich in various locations. I've always enjoyed their salads, since it's the only place that never left a bad impression when I order grass...what's tricky is their specialized dressingper salad, since not even their staff could really say how each tasted or varied but they did let me pick a backup option free of charge. Their salads are always in generous portions and their not light handed with their bacon bits, chicken, or whatever meat in there. There's nothing like over paying for grass and be extra hungry too cause they dont give you your money's worth, never had that problem with this franchise. Due to my recent dining companion, I've had a taste for chocolate here and there...so a brownie was purchased tonight, rich in flavor and the fudge on top almost made me think it was a cake when I opened the paper box. Lastly, want to acknowledge their packaging for take out, never a mess and always nicely sorted in their packing and bagging of foods. No spills and no mess! Only con tonight was their system was down, so they couldn't register my points to the Panera card so I have to do that manually later on my own through their app. However, it doesnt occur often, so no biggie. read more

This location of Panera is located in the Bay Terrace Shopping Center. There is ample free parking, They have both regular registers where u go up, place your order, and pay to an employee. They also have fast kiosks where you go to the several kiosk stations go through and pick out what you want and pay. After you place order, you go to the pickup counter to either get the "to go" or "to stay" items you chose. There is a seating area and even a small private room you can rent for a business/ private meeting. The food is delicious and its very convenient if you are looking for a healthier type of food option but don't want to sit and wait in a restaurant. I had a salad with grilled chicken, avocado, grated cheese, Caesar dressing, and croutons and it was delicious. They tend to go very light on the dressing so I would recommend asking for some extra on the side. The broccoli cheddar soup is delicious and creamy and perfect for fall and winter months. This location is quite clean and employees truly keep up to cleaning tables between people sitting. Overall, good food and good service. read more

The ambiance is that of Penn Station, it's safe to say that 3/4's of the tables are taken up by people not eating or drinking but just socializing. The employees are always pleasant. The restaurant would get better reviews if they put a time limit on the amount of time able to be spent sitting at the tables. I am changing my rating to 1 star, there is a lack of food safety due to the fact that the food is put on the counter and other customers are able to literally Hoover over the food breathing their disgusting germs on it. I never have an issue with this place. I always order through the app and my order is always ready when I show up. It's hot and the baguette size is always generous. I don't deal with the staff as I'm usually in and out. Today was not a good day. I ordered a chicken noodle soup bowl. It was ready within 5 mins of ordering. I grab it and get all the way back to work to eat my soup and it's friggen tomato soup! I double checked the receipt on the bag to make sure I didn't grab the wrong order. But no, it was most certainly my order and it said chix nood soup. So I had to wait until I left work to return the food since I'm allergic to tomatoes. When I tell the cashier she was so rude and unapologetic. She treated me like I was the one who messed up! She handed the bag off to another worker and said you have her the wrong soup then asked if I wanted to keep it. No! Give me what I paid for! After that I was honestly disappointed they didn't try to makeup for the inconvenience. Typically when a food establishment fucks up they offer something complimentary. What happened to Panera!? I came to this location while waiting to watch a movie with my kids. Pretty busy but they have ample seating. Prices changed on the pick 2 items. Now each item has a separate price. Personally I don't think its worth it for what you get. Its ok, but nothing spectacular. I feel like the quality of most Panera's went down the past few years. I asked for a Vanilla Almond Milk Latte and rung me up and gave me a completely different drink. Even my kids mac and cheese didn't taste that great.
