The chicken chipotle avocado melt was wrong in every possible way; they gave hardly any chicken, there was no chipotle sauce, and the cheese that was on it wasn't melted. They were not super busy at the time I went so I'm not sure how they messed up my order so badly. The redeeming quality about Panera is that it is in a central location, and they have good bread. I popped my Panera cherry today. Woahhh -- PB is much more expensive than McDonald's. The day I decided to be health conscious I'm hit with a $16 price tag. Well damn did I order for one person or two? I was under the assumption that there would be more variety and exotic flavors -- not at all. I was disappointed because everyone raves about this place, but its nothing out of the ordinary that I haven't tasted before. Lines are concert long. Once you place your order at the register you are handed a ticket. Then you wait to be called either in the front for bakery items or in the back for salads, soup, and sandwiches. Aye caramba -- I hate assembly lines. I ordered the BBQ Chopped Chicken Salad with extra chicken, a Chocolate Chipper and an Açai Berry Green Iced Tea. The salad was good but lacked the pizazz I was looking for. Since the tea brews hot, it requires some cool down and lots of Ice. Also it's brewed unsweetened. There wasn't much of a flavor with the tea. It tasted like a light herbal green tea with color. I added some sugar to give it somewhat of a taste. With that being said I throughly enjoyed the light and refreshing flavor afterwards. Cold refreshments are located in the back next to the second pickup area. Don't get me wrong, parking is ample but you will have to park in the center of the shopping center and walk like 300 meters but I don't mind cause walking is good exercise for the body but I just wanted to let all the people in the world that do not believe in walking and love the convenience of parking 20 feet from the door just because. I never do this but I wanted to let you know about my horrific experience today at Panera in Bay Terrace Shopping Center (Bayside, NY). I decided to go for 2 of my favorites at Panera: the bacon turkey bravo and broccoli Mac and cheese and I was so disappointed and grossed out. I don't know if you changed the turkey that you usually use for this sandwich or what, but the turkey was cut almost a half inch thick. It was disgusting I had to throw it out. Like a big slab of rubber. Also. I got the broccoli Mac and cheese and the pasta was so soft it was gross. Had absolutely no texture or taste. Very disappointed I wasted my money here. Service is quick and friendly here. I usually come for dinner. I'm never disappointed. I usually have their chicken avocado cobb salad. It's always fresh and it tastes great. Sometimes I'll switch it up by having soup. It is either the cheddar broc or the french onion. I've also had the veggie pesto soup. All very good soup. All made perfectly. It always hits the spot. I've come to this panera locations several times. It gets packed during lunch and especially dinner. The line is usually always long, even with 4-5 cashiers at the register. There are many items i love to get from this location, all of the cookies are so yummy but my fav is the toffee one. There are a great variety as well as pastries. I love the whole crumb cake for $16, its the best morning snack for the entire week. dont forget to get a panera membership. totally worth it. The food menu occasionally changes... they have to have this chicken chipotle grilled panini that was out of this world and they took it off the menu about a year. thats really what drove me to come here and ive stopped coming as much. they do have this new chicken avocado melt which is nice and fresh but its not as good. So when I'm in Bayside and I get hungry but I want to eat "healthy," I go to Panera. I almost always go with "you pick 2"--with a soup and salad or a sandwich with soup. On this particular Sunday afternoon, my friend and I both chose BBQ Chopped Chicken (Romaine, roasted corn, black beans, tortilla strips & bbq ranch dressing, drizzled with bbq sauce). I had the chicken noodle soup and my friend chose the vegetarian summer corn chowder. My other favorite is Panera's broccoli cheddar soup. They're filling, delicious and semi-healthy. It honestly depends on what you pick. They have calories listed next to each meal, which is very helpful if you count your calories but honestly, I always go with the same soup/salad combo whenever I'm here. You can't go wrong with a classic chicken noodle soup and it usually goes well with any type of salad. I would recommend getting a drink with your meal--you can refill it as many times as you want. The cold beverages are in the back near the bathrooms and there's also a wide variety of teas near the entrance. I usually go with fruit punch and refill it with ice coffee on my way out. Coffee is also in the back where the cold refreshments are--bear the pickup area. It depends on which time of day you go here but the workers are efficient and fast for the most part, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get my food. Although it can get a bit crowded during the weekends, they have a lot of seats so you don't have to hover over people and scavenge for a table. I also noticed during the week days that there are a lot of students studying. It's conveniently located inside the Bay Terrace shopping center so you can also go for a little stroll afterwards to digest your meal. Overall, I'd highly recommend Panera in this location. It makes me really sad when I see a Panera that sucks. This location used to be amazing when it first opened. Everything tasted great and the service was pretty good too. Now, I'm getting brown avocado in my sandwiches and rude people at the service counter. They even ran out of soup bowls the last time I went there. How is that possible?! Le sigh. I use to love, love, love love Panera. It used to be clean, the people who work there use to be courteous, and the food usevto be great. Whenever I visit Panera, my bill is usually more that $30 because I like to also take out something for later. About two months ago, I pumped my brakes on this Panera because they messed up my order and when I told them, they tried fro argue with me instead of fixing it. I told myself I wouldn't come back but I ended up coming back yesterday. So I walk in and there was no line. I immediately headed to the counter to place my order. First thing is first, they no longer carry the ancient grain and arugula salad. That made me very sad because that's my favorite. I settled for a greek salad with quinoa, no cheese, no chicken. I also order the pick two( tomato soup and a Mediterranean veggie with no cheese and I asked to have it pressed)and a chai latte with almond milk. I know my order was modified but they do give you the option to do so. I had no clue it would turn into a mess. While waiting, I went to a table to wait for my device to buzz. I waited for about 15 minutes and nothing. I didn't pay it any mind because I thought they were just backed up with to-go orders. After the long wait, a staff member came over and ask me what number I was. I told her and she says"your food has been ready for a while now". I explained to her that the device didn't chirp or vibrate. The guy over the serving counter said he verbally called my number. what's the point of giving me a device if it doesn't work? Ok, fine, I take my order and sit down. My soup was cold. No worries, I didn't bring it back because I know their policy with returned food( they throw it out and start fresh) and I hate wasting food. So I sucked it up m. Here's the problem, my sandwich wasn't pressed like I asked but I also didn't make a fuss. But what really grinded my gears was the fact that they put cheese on my sandwich. I said like a pinini, I asked at the counter and she said that was possible. He also educated me that the sandwich comes with cheese and that's not the right bread for the sandwich. No shit Sherlock ‍, that's why I asked not to have cheese on it and the bread I did not asked to be changed so that's on you guys. After all was said and done, they made me a new sandwich sans cheese. I returned to my table and started drinking my cold soup, eating my cheese less sandwich and cheeseless salad. I just went here last night and ordered a You Pick 2. I had the french onion soup and a Big Kids Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Since I usually come here and take my food to go, I did so this time without checking my to-go bag before I left. BAD DECISION. I drove all the way home to find that the soup was correct, but the sandwich was some chicken and tomato sandwich that smelled GROSS. Because I was nearly starving, I hopped right back into my car and drove back. I went to the counter and showed my receipt and the oh-so-gross sandwich. Even though it's an option, you'll just be sitting in your car like an idiot for 20 minutes before you have to leave your baby, who cannot wear a mask, alone and go inside to find out what's going on. There really isn't anything on the menu that excites me. The bagels are OK - nothing special, the salads are too sweet, and some of their menu items are just plain terrible. I have a love/hate relationship with Panera. I love that they serve fresh coffee though! It's a great place to meet up with friends for lunch and coffee (unlimited coffee as long as you pay for the cup!). For breakfast, grab a coffee and any bagel with cream cheese. They serve sandwiches, soups, salads for all courses which is a plus. They're restroom is usually clean and they do have wifi. Their dining area is decent and can be crowded (meaning can be very loud). In my opinion, I really don't think that it's a great place to study unless you have earplugs. The location is in Bay Terrace and parking can be tough to find if you're going during their peak hours. read more

Would drive 10 minutes to get there, app and email would say its on the shelf and it never would be. All it is a cup, its not like they make the drink for you. Then when you try to ask someone for help employees actively avoid you. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a drink the other morning at 8:05, received an email at 8:16 that it was delayed. I've been here a couple times across 5 years. The place is always clean and the workers are really nice. Lunch time (11am - 2pm) gets a little busy but the food (soup + whole sandwich) only took around 7 minutes. Wifi is very spotty. Disconnets often and is slow when connected. From 11am to 2pm you only get 30 minutes of service. The bathroom (at least the woman's one) is sub-par clean. It's usable but has a weird smell. I visited the bayside terrace Panera location and the experience was horrible and I will not be returning to this location!! I ordered a rapid pickup order on my late lunch break and got an alert that my order was ready. I checked the rapid pickup shelf and it was not there. I went to the counter where you pick up your food when you dine in, and I asked a gentleman where my order was, he didn't even look and said it wasn't ready and proceeded to clock out with a bunch of other employees. I noticed that a bunch of them made sure to have their food ready at the rapid pickups shelf, but not put out other customers' orders. I know this because I saw them pick it up their orders off the shelf and then leave to go home. I waited 15 minutes and went to the register where the lady in the front went to the counter behind her and picked it up where it was sitting for 15 minutes when it should have been on the rapid pickup shelf. Because of the carelessness of your employees I was late to work which is UNEXCEPTABLE. Not only that, I ordered a chipotle chicken avocado and the avocado was BROWN. But it's clean and well kept and there is plenty of parking spaces as its in a plaza. I was actually pleasantly surprised by their standard coffee, which is quite good considering you wouldn't think of panera as a place that serves decent coffee.
