New discovery for me in my neighborhood. They had left menus in my building so I grabbed one and decided to check them out. I like the fact that you can get both which gives you a very wide selection of food. I've tried things from both menus and they are both very good. I usually order thru Seamless and the delivery is quick and the food is still hot when it gets to me.

Chicken and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce comes with Eggroll ($5.50)

This is my neighborhood Chinese/Tex-Mexican restaurant that I grew up on when I used to live in Kew Gardens. I absolutely love this gem because unlike Peter's Kitchen down the block they consistently put out good and inexpensive food. They've changed owners once since I was a little girl, but I'm proud to say that the food still hits the spot like way back when. Classic Chicken and Broccoli in spicy garlic lunch special will run you $5.50. An egg roll is included with the meal which to me keeps the customers coming back. Why should I drop an extra dollar and change on something that should be apart of the meal? The eggroll is deliciously non-greasy. Thank you Panda Garden for upholding a grade A inspection and yummy food. If you're thinking about dining in there's four table tops with mismatched chairs (black and white). I think the reason for this is to show the diversity of their restaurant. Hence the Asian and Mexican fusion.

You have to cook the chicken after you kill it. Ordered chicken quesadilla, combination platter and tacos. $30 later, all the chicken meat was raw, serving this to family with a 4 year old. Simply terrible, I'm so disgusted and disappointed!!!!

The quality of food went down and we found a bug in our soup last time and have definitely found brillo metal sponge in our food several times.. (at least they're cleaning?) We haven't ordered in a long time because of the above points...we ordered recently and it was ok.. convenient..

Panda garden was always my favorite since I was a kid and moved into the neighborhood, but ever since the new owner took over the portions in salads and combos decreased horribly I asked for a chicken salad including all vegetables and only got lettuce and tomato and barely got any chicken. On top of that they took 40 minutes to deliver and the food was COLD. I'm disappointed. The salads were way better with the old owner!!

Steak Fajita Taco (Number 15)

This place is very unassuming, and looks like your typical Chinese take out spot, but they also have a very extensive Tex-Mex menu which includes tacos, burritos etc. So with the combination of Chinese food items and Tex-Mex items there is surely something for everyone here. Came here late night for a quick bite to eat and they are definitely cranking out fresh flavorful food. I got a steak quesadilla and a steak fajita soft taco. I did wait a bit for my meal, but once it arrived I understood why. My tortillas were soft and fluffy as they were made fresh to order, a welcome surprise compared to tortillas out of a plastic bag. The steak was cooked perfectly could tell it was quality because it was not rubbery or too chewy. Meal came with salsa and sour cream on the side. Even my left overs the next day tasted as fresh as new. You get your money's worth for sure.

They have a larger dining room that's perfect for big groups, so getting everyone together is comfortable and stress-free. The food is solid, classic Chinese comfort fare -- flavorful, satisfying, and yes, unapologetically rich in MSG (the good kind that makes everything extra tasty). The Fish Fillet Home Style is always a hit with the younger crowd, and the Double Cooked Pork is another standout -- think lechon-style pork belly tossed with plenty of vegetables in a savory brown sauce. That combo somehow gets the kids happily eating their veggies too. They also do Hot & Sour Soup right -- nicely balanced with the perfect tang and heat. The sautéed snow pea leaves with garlic is a staple order for us, and the pan-fried noodles are consistently delicious with great texture. The crispy garlic chicken was surprisingly good as well -- super flavorful and cooked just right. Portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing family-style. The staff are friendly and quick, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes dining there even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable, no-frills spot for big group dining with satisfying dishes, Wo Kee delivers every time.

I was one of them when I first visited this restaurant about a decade ago and did so during my recent session again. Though they may be one of the best options for traditional Chinese food in the area, comparing them to restaurants in Flushing would land them on the lower end of the spectrum. With that said, they do certain things relatively well, namely the dumplings. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled because of the skin texture. For some reason, the boiled ones felt a bit tough and chewy, while the pan fried dumplings were better, especially since it has a crispy crust on the bottom. Fillings I have tried are chive & pork, as well as cabbage & pork. Both were quite good and stuffed to the brim. I also do like their wontons with spicy sauce, which has a shrimp & pork filling. Also plump and juicy, these wontons are quite delicious. The sauce is not really all that spicy, but flavorful. As for other items I have tried, most were not bad but below average. That includes the Dan Dan Mein, Beijing Style Noodles, and the Sesame Pancake with Beef. One thing I would recommend to skip would be the Hot & Sour Soup, which was neither hot or sour. If you are in the neighborhood and craving some dumplings or wontons, then seek out this little shop. However, if you want any other types of Chinese food, I would advise you to skip.

It's changed hands several times over the years that we've lived in the neighborhood, but the food has been pretty consistent. There's not much variation in Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Pork or Fried Chicken Wings. What has changed with the current owners is that they've tried to branch out from the cookie cutter Chinese takeout by expanding into other Asian cuisines, such as Thai. The main printed menu still has the standards, but new hand written menu signs hang from the wall with dishes such as Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice (*w/ choice of protein). We still like to get our regular Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, our favorite Cold Sesame Noodles, Sesame Chicken (or Sweet & Sour or General Tso's) & Moo Goo Gai Pan. I like to add a large quart of Wonton Egg Drop soup for good measure because I love soup. It's Chinese-American comfort fast food, not something my mom would make, but it gets the job done quick. Pretty much any size order you throw at them, it will be ready in 20 minutes for pick-up. Those blazing hot woks are no joke. And you get a free can of soda for every $25 spent. You can also get a 32 oz quart of their homemade iced tea that is super sweet, but is a great thirst quencher in the summer. They take credit card payment (not sure which ones, probably Visa & MC) without additional fees and they are closed on Mondays.
