For fast food Chinese take out, this place was good. I ordered through Uber Eats months ago and didnt add my review...everything was fresh and nicely cooked. Compared to the other fast food Chinessrestaurants in the area, this is one of the better ones. Food wasn't greasy, prices are cheaper at the restaurant. I think we ordered.. beef and broccoli, shrimp? egg roll.. Singapore mai fun, general tso with lo mein as the side. Beef and broccoli was very good, broccoli was crispy.. good flavor. Egg roll was tasty, fried well. Singapore mai fun actually had curry flavor for once, this was very good.. not a huge fan of general tso's even though I order it at every take out spot eventually... Sweet Garden has been my Chinese takeout staple over the past few years. They're truly the go-to for those days where I really don't want to make dinner, or just need to grab something in a pinch. The lady manning the counter is truly the sweetest, and works to get your order out to you in 15 minutes or less. Sometimes they're a bit swamped, so I recommend calling ahead, and giving them a comfortable 15-25 minutes to prepare your order. My go-to orders are any of the following: roast pork lo mein, General Tso chicken, beef/chicken & broccoli over rice, or Singapore mei fun. The lo mein is pretty good - the roast pork isn't great and pales in comparison to anything you'd find in Flushing, but the noodles themselves are flavorful and delicious. General Tso is a staple and you can't really go wrong with it; the meat/batter ratio here is good! Beef/chicken & broccoli over rice is another staple - I order this if I want something lighter than lo mein or General Tso. I usually ask for extra sauce! Singapore mei fun here is decent if you have cravings, but it's not great. As for the other menu items, chicken wings + eggrolls here are pretty tasty! I'd skip out on the hot & sour soup, but the wonton soup is okay. The broth definitely contains a healthy amount of MSG, but hey - that's what makes your food delicious!! Overall, portions are generous, orders are reasonably priced, and the quality is pretty consistent (I've maybe only had 1 meh experience). We wanted to grab some Chinese food takeout in the neighborhood. We called shortly after they were opened and they were certainly backed up a little bit, which is fine just means people are ordering from them. I ordered a shrimp lo mein and the size and taste was to be expected. It wasn't oily at all and was decent. My wife got the sautéed shrimp with broccoli and rice lunch special. The shrimps (about 5) were the big ones and nicely fried and had a good sauce on top, but the sauce was scarce and wised they gave more. My wife felt the dish was just average. My first time here. It's freezing & windy outside, but the door can't close. So it's freezing & windy inside too. The tiny heat fan they have only reaches 6 inches in front of itself. The prices are good. Unless the young girl at the counter rings you up. She seems to think that the tax rate is 75% & can't be convinced otherwise. This place was a huge surprise. Considering that this place is considered a fast food Chinese restaurant. Basically a hole in the wall joint. I ordered the vegetable lo mein, beef with broccoli, and vegetable fried rice. They use the thin hard noodles, it's hard liked fried noodles, but harder than what most Chinese restaurants use, which are the soft noodles. The noodles here is al dente and with great flavors, but the surprising thing is, it's not oily like most places. And this is the same with the fried rice. Packs a lot of flavor with such little costs. The beef with broccoli had just as good flavoring as the others. And their meat was very tender, and I didn't bite in to any veins or fats. We are only a few blocks away and it's ridiculous that it consistently takes this long. Any time we call to inquire about the delivery, the woman on the phone says "we are too busy". If you are too busy then tell people that and don't tell them the delivery will be there in 45 minutes. Went here to experiment with Chinese food near me but outside my neighborhood ( briarwood is cute but does not have any good Chinese options) My group ordered the jumbo shrimp, 4 chicken wings, shrimp with broccoli, and chicken fried rice. It came out to 20$ which was really good considering we ordered off the regular menu and not the lunch specials. I was pretty happy with the chicken fried rice (the chicken was fried and had flavor) and the 4 chicken wings. I was off put that both the shrimp dishes had uncleaned shrimp. Additionally the "jumbo shrimp" ARE NOT JUMBO, it's more like medium size shrimp and you'd get a better deal ordering the small fried shrimp. Overall would probably order again if I'm desperate for some good Chinese food but will continue searching around my neighborhood read more

First of all, I don't eat meat anymore so the last time I had General Tso anything was over 2 years ago. When I read that guys review he really made me wanna go over and get it since my bf & I were across doing our laundry. Man, am I glad I went in. The food was SO GOOD. My boyfriend got a vegetable egg roll and he said it was the best he had. The dough was thick and it was very flavorful. You could tell they don't cheap out on their food. Some general tso tofu gets soggy or gross with the coating, and theirs keeps a nice crispy/crunchy shell on the outside while still having a soft texture inside. (I've also had the scallion pancakes, fried rice, tons of food. All amazing) The serving sizes are generous and the staff is always polite. The only thing stopping me from giving them five stars was a brief period from when they switched owners, there was a time when the food was spotty quality. Sometimes good, and sometimes not. They are so juicy, perfectly cooked, and amazing crispy exterior. I don't really try the other food here so I can't say anything about that. 4 whole chicken wings comes out to $4.35 after tax so not bad at all. Ive only gotten takeouts from this location but the staple Chinese fast food I've tried have never failed to impress. Namely their Singapore Mei fun. I have such mixed feelings about this place but I don't want to lead with the reason why. First let me tell you what I like about it. It's local, it's on the small side but the food is good and they deliver. The staff is very friendly and accomidating to their customers. I came in a party of four for a quick meal and we tried the sweet and sour chicken (I'll comment on this later), boneless spare ribs (best in the neighborhood), sesame chicken (average but decent) and fried jumbo shrimp with vegetable fried rice (crunchy and yummy). The food was ready within 20 minutes and we were all served at the same time. I didn't expect the girl at the counter to bring it to us but she did. Most Chinese restaurants are self serve. She even opened our containers and placed them in front of the person who ordered. We also got a homemade ice tea and it was $1.50 for a large, easily enough to share. They even provided cups. They also threw in two free egg rolls because we ordered 4 meals. Everyone was happy with their food. We especially loved the boneless spare ribs. We all tried each others food. I really liked the way they prepared their vegetable fried rice, lots of peas and broccoli. They also offer the option of brown or white rice. While we were eating they checked on us to make sure everything was good and it was. Now I don't know if this was a fluke or what the situation was but my son got sick a few hours later after we got home. I don't know why but we are assuming it was the food. He ordered the sweet and sour chicken. No one else had an issue or got sick. It could have also been something else entirely so I feel bad taking it out on their rating because I am just not sure. I personally liked my food and didn't have an issue so I am putting it down as 4 stars. We will however give them another try and if that changes I'll be back to update my review. I really hope it wasn't the food because this place was looking promising as my new go to chinese takeout spot. On our way out they thanked us immensely and gave us a menu to take home. I would often work from 9 - 5 and when i get hungry, i often order from a KFC nearby. However, recently, a friend took me to Sweet Garden, which I found to be a delight in a neighborhood of American fast food and small stores. The restaurant is pretty small (there are only four 4-people tables so there isn't a lot of room for large crowds). One good thing about this place is that they don't use MSG; they only use 100% vegetable oil. Another thing is that the people working there are extremely nice and you don't have to wait too long for your food. They can also make American dishes (e.g. fried chicken wings, etc). The first time around, I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. I hated it. The chicken was burned and the fries were like the fries in middle school. I was not satisfied with the chicken sandwich and the fries and will never order it again. This makes me a bit unease about their American dishes menu but many of the customers I have seen have ordered the chicken wings with fried rice and they have said that it tastes good. Maybe I should sample those chicken wings and fried rice. In any case, I decided to come back to try their Asian menu and settled for some roast pork fried rice. I found it fairly decent; nothing magnificent. I ordered a pint of fried rice and they overflowed the box with rice. When I looked at the meals that the other customers bought (often a package of rice/vegetables/chicken), the amount of food looks a lot and overflowed the box itself! The people working there give you a lot of food so don't go there unless you are really really hungry or willingly to share with a friend; otherwise you will have lots of leftovers. Perfect order every time and food always tastes better than other places. Highly recommend. Best tasting & best priced Chinese food around these parts. Ive payed 20$ for other places to give me disgusting old food, but sweet garden ill pay 7$ for the same dish and have freshly prepared food tasting great, also they give MORE of a portion of FRESH food for LESS... can't go wrong.
