    "Chicken Chow Mein"

I wanted to try out the lunch special with my roommate today and I was in the mood for noodles and ordered the chicken chow mein. However, what I received was not anything close to that. I called and told them it was wrong and was yelled at on the phone, so I went back to get my order fixed. I showed them what they gave me and they tried to tell me that I was wrong and that chow mein is not noodles, and that I ordered incorrectly. Had I wanted noodles I should have ordered the Lo Mein. Which this is clearly false, from a lifetime of eating chow mein and a quick google search. In addition, the menu LITERALLY SAYS "Crispy noodle" However, they just did not want to be wrong or give me a refund. Extremely disrespectful employees, not worth it for $1, let alone the $7 I spent.

Amazing fresh Chinese food ! I was looking for a place around my neighborhood and this place popped up .

General Tso's chicken with fried rice.. ehhh

I have tried many Chinese take out restaurants in my life and I have gotta say this is the worst of the worst. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken with pork fried rice lunch special for about $6.00 after tax. How can you mess that up???? The chicken was skimpy and really small pieces. Questionable chicken meat. The rice was bland and dry. The hot and sour soup was so gooey because of all the cornstarch they use. I have given this place a try and I will find other options from now on. Maybe I should have stayed safe and ordered fried chicken and fried rice instead..

Great Thai fried rice. It's flavorful n tasty, we usually order chicken and shrimp Thai fried rice. They also have a good delivery system and they accept credit cards unlike some places.

A year has passed since my first visit and review of Pho99. I've had multiple amazing meals since…read morethen! But my most recent dining experience was somewhat disappointing. It started as soon as we walked into the restaurant; there was an unfortunate water leak dripping down from the ceiling, right by the entrance. The staff put a bucket below a huge water bubble that had formed in the ceiling, to catch the drips... but you had to walk around it to get into the restaurant. Kind of weird that the staff didn't think of getting from a hardware store, one of those tarps that catches ceiling leaks and diverts the water thru a hose to a bucket... that isn't in the way of customers entering the restaurant. Anyway, we sat down, and ordered an old favorite dish, and decided to try a new one. The old favorite is the House-made Fish Cake Pho (Pho Cha Ca)! The kitchen staff hand makes the fish paste from scratch, with some kind of super addictive & flavorful spices, and I've really enjoyed it in the past. We also decided to try the Shaking Beef Rice (Com Bo Lac Lac) for the first time. Unfortunately, both dishes were disappointing. The fish cake in the pho looked and tasted like typical frozen type you can get at any Asian market... and was confirmed when we asked the staff. Where's my ATF fish cake?!? The beef cubes in the rice dish were (a) super overcooked (like beef jerky level chewy) and (b) the sauce was way, way too salty. We also noticed the restaurant manager, Ngan, wasn't working that night. Perhaps all these problems happened because she was away on holiday? And Pho99 will be back to its usual spectacular food after she returns?

This place doesn't exactly match the dishes Oneness produced, it is more cafe/breakfast/brunch. You order your items at the counter and they give you a number for your table. There is a discount for cash. We ordered the French toast and croissant deluxe. I enjoyed the french toast, which is one of the higher cost items on the menu its probably not worth the cost. Fresh fruit and whipped cream with a side of maple syrup comes with this. The croissant deluxe comes packed with scrambled eggs, fake bacon and avocado. Its a better value making for a very satisfying sandwich. The drinks are well made here - I just had a regular cup of coffee. They serve a good one. The butterfly pea latte was comes out looking very beautiful with actual butterfly pea floating on the surface. The vibes here are very calm. In the back there is a video of Sri Chinmoy playing and a library of books for you peruse. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Gulp provides unlimited Taiwanese pickled mustard greens (suan cai, 酸菜), and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken makes a fantastic side. I tried the braised pork rice as well- while it's southern Taiwan style (and I personally prefer northern style), it's still great. To drink, they serve traditional Taiwanese black tea (古早味紅茶). It is a bit on the light side, but still tasty. The service is quick and the staff are friendly, plus they speak Mandarin and some are from Taiwan. As you can see, it's the real deal! While Gulp's midtown spot goes for a trendy, modern Taiwanese vibe, the decor here captures the cozy, nostalgic feel of a small street-side noodle shop right by every Taiwanese's hometown. I hope they restart their Taiwanese breakfast soon!

My braised pork noodles was a delicacy and tasted maybe even better than some places in Taiwan, and I'm Taiwanese. The unlimited tea is a nice touch. However, dang, was this place expensive, but I guess that's New York for you. I didn't wait too long on a Saturday lunchtime, maybe around 30 minutes for a small seat. It seemed like takeout was very popular. Dining in is super small. There's only counter space, so I wouldn't bet on it. Probably better to get to-go if you are nearby, or come early so you can get a spot. There is a speakeasy in the back too. That's a different place though

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

If you have ever been to Taiwan, walking in here feels like stepping right back there! It has such cozy vibes that perfectly capture the feeling of early 2000s Taiwanese MVs. We were also able to park right out front, which was super convenient! A huge shout-out to Daniel, who showed us incredible hospitality! Even though the restaurant was full and he was managing the front solo, he handled everything with such grace. He kindly asked a customer if they could offer my wife and our baby a seat, brought us our drinks immediately in case we needed to drink while waiting for the food, and made sure we were completely comfortable while juggling other orders. Thank you, Daniel! As for the food, it's always consistent in the best way possible. We ordered our usuals: the braised pork with rice, the popcorn chicken with rice, and the kumquat lemon drinks. The quality is top-notch, and the portion sizes always leave us feeling full and satisfied! My wife would usually eat half the bowl and save the other half for the next day. FYI: If the restaurant gets busy, there is a kiosk inside where you can order and pay, which makes the whole process very convenient. Highly recommended!
