The service is beyond excellent. I called for the Live Lobster cooked in Black bean sauce(my all-time favorite Chinese food menu item, that I can't find ANYWHERE) and the response was: "We can do that for you". They had one of their cooks run out to the nearby supermarket to pick up a Live lobster just to appease the request of a customer-me. The dish came out excellent! I Sat down in what felt like someone's basement, and at a table that had yet to be acquainted with a Kleenex wipe, and devoured this thing with SUCH an appetite! 5 STARS all the way!! The garlic sauce was really good for the shrimp, chicken, and eggplants. The soup was not too salty, which was reassuring, but it was pretty viscous. Pretty decent Chinese fast food place. There usually not a lot of people here and I stop by random times. They are really quick in preparing your food. We order ahead for pick up but most of the time it's about 10 mins wait for the food when we order onsite. They open late so when I come home late from work i can grab a quick dinner without the long wait. I have tried their sesame chicken, orange chicken, chicken and broccoli, chicken and eggplant , fried baby shrimp, fries and egg roll. They're all pretty decent and the rice isn't dry. My favorite Chinese food place! I can't believe it has no reviews yet. I moved way out of the neighborhood a few years ago, but when I can get a ride I make a point to get my Chinese food from here. To be honest, I just stopped eating it altogether after the disappointing selection of places Elmhurst has to offer. The egg rolls, lo mein, wonton soup, General Tso's- all your staples are here and they're awesome. Service is super friendly. The only issue I sometimes have is that their General Tso's can come a little light on the sauce, but the texture is absolutely perfect. The house special tofu I have ordered today was sour. I've called the restaurant to informed them of the tofu have gone bad. But was given a rude response by the restaurant staff. He told me there no way the tofu have gone bad, but I insist it was sour since I'm the one that eating it. After reading the Yelp reviews for this restaurant that raved about everything they make being "fantastic" , it's "my favorite Chinese restaurant", and "egg roll and dumpling are on the point," I had to experience what I was missing. So I drove out of my way to get a taste of "the best Chinese restaurant in the area." The first thing you notice when waking in is the"B" grade hanging in the window from the NYC Department of Health. Not quite as inviting as an "A", but the reviews were fantastic! I ordered a beef and green bean combination (fried rice and egg roll) and some wonton soup. The egg roll tasted like a commercial brand (like Amoy); it had very little other "stuff" in it besides chopped cabbage. It was small, but not greasy. The wonton soup had a murky yellow tinge to it and was absolutely tasteless; salty and non-descript. An oil slick (see photo) formed on the surface that looked disgusting. There we're few pieces of scallion in the broth as well as a few (and I mean few) pieces of pork. The wontons were soft and "doughy" in the center and filled with a few pieces of ground pork (not shredded or chunks.). Some of the wontons were hard in spots. The fried rice was the all-too-common yellow rice with some bean sprouts and a few cubes of pork. The kind of fried rice that is served in most ordinary, uninspiring Chinese take-outs. The beef had been soaked in a corn starch bath to give it the illusion that it is softer than it really is. What your left with in your mouth is the texture of slimy beef. The green beans were OK (which is what saved this review from being terrible.) So many better choices! read more

If I had a choice to give 0 stars I would I ordered twice from this place and they have horrible customer service. The hot and sour soup is terrible has so much gelatin you can't even eat it. When it came here it was not even hot! We called back and we told them if we can get another soup and they said no that's how we make it for two years and I tell them it's not right I can't eat it and they said sorry too bad. I dont think they are dry compared to other chinese take out restaurants. If I could give zero stars I would but one star would do. Ive ordered from this restaurant many times and this would probably be the last time I'll order from this restaurant. The guy on the phone is disgustingly rude. I called on my phone and started yelling through his phone giving me a headache, which is fine since he didn't know, but I asked him for one order of sesame chicken and an extra order of just plain rice. He proceeds to yell through his phone asking me if I wanted rice or not and I kept saying yes for not sure how long but I eventually ended the call since I couldn't take how rude he was. I'm also positive that by him always yelling through his phone is the reason why he's not hearing me or just not very fluent in English but that doesn't mean he doesn't understand yes as in the very question he has to blow through my eardrums for. The food is average. They don't give you a lot of sauce, and their soup has way to much going on (corn in the wonton, celery, carrots ect.)
