Very decent take out Chinese food. Our go to dishes are the String beans with garlic sauce, shrimp with lobster sauce, scallion pancakes with beef and the Gyoza. Other notable mentions, the Mei Fun which you can ask for the curry version or non-curry. I prefer the non. And don't ask but my kiddo loves the roast pork egg foo young. Today we're going with the Taiwanese Popcorn chicken... Smells great!

We ordered delivery, and it took about 30-40 minutes from the time we ordered online till we got the order, which isn't bad. We ordered some steamed dumplings which tasted good and were huge, like a bulls' sack. We also ordered the general tso chicken combo, which wasn't bad but could've used more chicken, but I guess they are cutting back due to prices going up because of bidenomics. The egg roll that came with the combo was just ok. We also ordered some chicken lo mein, which was good.

Went in for a mid afternoon lunch, man at the counter was very nice. Food came out fast and was delicious, large food menu, and there was a good amount of seats and tables with little noise. It was also very clean. Would recommend.

Enjoyed a large sized portion of the Black Pepper Beef dish. It was enough to feed my brother and me! The included photo is AFTER we ate two plate fulls. We are now eating the leftovers. The black pepper beef is tender, sweet, savory and peppery. You can see the black pepper specks all throughout the dish. The sweet bell peppers and onions complement the meat nicely. At $13 (including tax), the large beef comes with one portion of rice. I thought it was slightly pricy, but I really enjoyed my meal, so that makes up for it! :) Customer service was great (I ordered take out) and the food came out in 5 minutes.

She is a one woman show so you should be patient. Because she works alone but has so many dedicated customers, her menu is limited. If you're dining in, you can grab hot or cold water or soda yourself at the table next to the counter and find a seat yourself. Some of the menu highlights are the lion's head meatball, braised beef, celery with pork, and salt and pepper fried shrimp, but everything is delicious. Because she is the chef and owner, she can make modifications or entirely new dishes upon request, but it may depend on how many orders she has waiting. This is free with most orders so enjoy! Gua bao 8/10 Soft flavorful pork slices in light buns. They cover the pork in peanut powder so if you don't like peanut, bush it off or tell them ahead of time. Add a spicy sauce for an extra kick. Da lu mian 8/10 Healthy tasting mushroom soup. Lots of veggies, mainly mushrooms, no noodles, makes it a great alternative to meat. Lu Rou Fan 8/10 This is a little more inconsistent because sometimes it's amazing, super flavorful, savory and sweet. Other times it can be only OK. The egg is always fantastic though. The sauce and meat combination is what makes or breaks the dish flavor. Steamed veggie 8/10 Good quality fresh greens in stew sauce with bits of veggies in there. Bit pricey for greens but it's good and healthy.

The good- plenty of meat in Lou Rou Fan, the texture of stinky tofu, the no tipping but bus your own tray business model. Friendliness of staff behind the ordering counter. The so-so: not enough fragrance in stinky tofu, the slightly soggy/oily pork chop, and lack of fragrance in Taiwanese sausage. The somewhat expensive price( our lunch costing $56 total). Will probably revisit another time to see how other dishes taste and see what price point it will result in.

When we come as a family, we always get the soy milk, salted tofu (personal favorite), pan fried dumplings, steamed veggie dumplings, scallion, pancake with beef, you tiao and stinky tofu. Got the Taiwanese pork chop rice, I appreciate that they are smaller medallions which is easy to give to my toddler but it's a bit greasy and flavorless. Interestingly enough soup dumplings are pretty good, but the fried wonton are meh. Not really a fan of the open ends, which means all the juice is already leaked out. The eggplant lunch special was pretty good but there's absolutely no meat. For a Friday where there was only 2 other tables the entire time we were there the service was crap. I thought it was bad last time I was there when it was packed but I guess it doesn't matter. I usually expect bad service at Chinese places but they didn't even give my toddler a fork which is a whole new level of bad. And of course the service is super slow, the lady that is there just can't do it all herself. My biggest gripe about this place is the Taiwanese food just isn't great.

I used to really enjoy the food, but lately the quality has declined. Some orders were extremely greasy, literally a pool of oil at the bottom, and overall it hasn't been consistent. The bigger issue has been the delivery driver. From what the owner told me, they only have one, and unfortunately he has been unpleasant every time. I hand him the cash for the order and the tip and make it clear. I say, "This is for the order, and this is your tip." Even then, he interrupts me and says things like, "You don't give me a tip. You Americans never tip. You motherf***er. F*** you," even though he literally has the tip in his hand. This has happened multiple times and the language and disrespect are completely uncalled for. I spoke to the owner, who apologized, but the problem continued. Because of this and the decline in food quality, I switched to Panda Garden just 1 to 2 blocks away. I had never tried them before, but they are a hidden gem. The food is fresh, high quality, and not greasy at all. I will not be ordering from Bell Garden anymore, which is disappointing given how close it is, but Panda Garden has won me over.
