    Five Guys-Cheeseburger/lettuce/tomato
    Gary R.

The presentation and the patty is a fail. Many years I have been a fun of this burger joint. But this time and for the second time around in this particular branch, 188th/Fresh Meadows, the burger patties were overcooked and dry. It seems like they want it to make it crispy on the sides. Also, they need to make the presentation particularly the wrapping much much better. For one, they need to maybe, get their precut foil wrapper bigger. The reason, you'll see in the picture. Since the precut is maybe too small, especially so when you have a double patty order, they will flatten the sandwich to make it fit into the wrapper. The finished product then, when you're ready to eat at home, would look like it was sat on by an elephant! See pictures please, and hope that the branch takes their service more seriously

I watch them handle my food. I've been to this location at least a dozen times and they are always on point. The cashier is always really friendly no matter who is there. Floors and tables always clean. The staff that's preparing food uses gloves and cover their hair. Everything is very neat. I thank all the staff here for helping me feel I can trust what i eat as i always run in when I'm starving.

Ordered Hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes and A1 sauce and fries. The other burger had lettuce tomatoes, grilled onions and ketchup. The food was great the employee's nice, sat outside and took extra peanuts to go. Definitely will go back the next time I am in the neighborhood.

One of the better burger joints in NYC, burgers are always good I just wish you can customize the temperature, I've def had over cooked burgers once or twice. Kudos for free toppings! Fries portions are huge, try the cajun fries. Staff is friendly and ordering is pretty quick, took away 1 star because sometimes the wait for your food is ridiculously long.

Well, after trying their burger, they have my complete attention! They have such an interesting list of burgers! See my photos for their vast menu choices! Narrowing down which one to choose was tough but I ended up ordering the Big Kahuna Burger w.Sweet Potato Fries....Holy Moly, that was a MASSIVE burger! I didn't recall ordering a double but that's what I got. lol This burger was really delicious but I could barely eat half of it. I would definitely order this burger again but maybe just a single burger next time. The sweet potato fries were such a treat! Such a delicious and satisfying meal!! They also have quite a few unique beverage options; non-alcoholic and alcoholic!! This is definitely not just a Coke and Pepsi kinda place! I tried their Velvet Llama Espresso Martini in a can, and it was really fantastic! Looking forward to a return visit to have some of their delicious wings, onion rings, many appetizers, sea burgers, chicken burgers, veggie burgers, breakfast sandwiches....omg the list goes on and on! Their backyard dining area is great for the warmer weather. Great music. Great service & hospitality. Great vibes all around!! Btw, I must mention their pricing. At first glance, you'd think their $20 burgers is wayyyyy too expensive. BUT, when you see the massive burger you're getting, you realize that it's a Quality burger, made with Quality ingredients... and well worth the price! Splurge and treat yourself! You're worth it! ;-)

One thing I noticed is that the place is pretty narrow, so it's not a huge space. There are a bunch of TVs throughout the restaurant, and they also have a collection of magazines and journals you can flip through while you watch. Most of them seemed to be food-related or Korean-related.

I watch the end of the game in here. Inside looks nice, booth is comfortable. Lively decoration with a spinning floating lightbulb in each table. The air is a bit stuffy though. I only ordered a burger as I heard from other reviewers that it is the best burger. It is quite tasty. Burger is on the smaller side, size of my palm. For $22, it also came with French fries. It is a bit more to the expensive side if I compare to what I will pay for a double burger and fries at Burger joint at 7th street burger. I guess i paid for the atmosphere. Service is ok. The waitress is very quiet. I dont think she spoke more than 20 words to me. Mostly nodding at my request. She did refill my water without me asking. However, she didnt bring me utensils. I had to use the toothpick that held the burger together to eat the leftover crumbs. My hands is a bit sticky and smell like barbecue sauce as a result of it. Thats why I deduct a star

We order the 2999 which came with two chicken burgers, five piece, chicken, two sides and four biscuits. If you can imagine the juiciest chicken burger of your life it's made here. The chicken was so juicy, and you can tell that the fibers came from the chicken itself and not something that was made into a patty . The biscuits are the best biscuits I've ever had ever in life. It taste like if someone's grandma from the south made it. Sides: The mozzarella sticks are great, however, don't expect any marinara sauce, but trust me you won't even remember that you needed it. The sweet potato fries are great. To note : the service is a little bit slow, but... once you taste the food, you'll understand that they took their time with it and you won't even be mad that they took that long so just account for the time. I also had their lemon drop green tea and while it was really good it was too sweet for my liking . It tasted as if there was too much syrup in it. Otherwise it's tasty. Will I come back here? Honestly, this is probably the only spot that I'll keep coming to over and over just because it's that good and they're open late so if you're coming here from a concert in city field, this is where you should go

Tteokbokki is considered street food and its literally rice & fish cakes. And they give you 3 pieces of ginmari. No reason it should be $19. Then for rosé flavor, which is literally just adding heavy cream to the sauce, is an extra $6. Then we ordered the 10 wing + 5 drumstick combo and we asked for half/half sauce assuming half of the 15 pieces are one sauce and the second half is another sauce. First off, they charge you $2 for sauce, which is fine but tell me why they charged us $2 FOUR times. So $8 total for sauce bc they separated the 10 wings into 5 and 5 and put one sauce each and they charged $2 each for that. And then they separated the 5 drumsticks into 3 and 2 and put one sauce each and charged $2 each for that. So total for 10 wings & 5 drumsticks was around $44. I've literally been to every korean fried chicken place on northern blvd and never have they separated the chicken like that and charged the sauces that way. Like why are you charging us for sauce 4 times when it is one single order of chicken. Never coming back here. Its a legit rip off. On top of that, they charge you for to-go containers, which is free at every restaurant. They just charge you exorbitant prices for literally every single thing here. We spent $85, not including tip, on tteokbokki, 15 pc of chicken & an order of fries.

The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
