Got the popcorn chicken $5 plus tax. (#2) Small restaurant. No seats but standing area to eat. Closes 1030PM. Good chicken. I got spicy. Ample portion size. Wish there was a sauce provided. Large menu. A bit overwhelming actually. Fast service.
Step into @campcamp_ny in Flushing, where camping meets city dining in the most playful way possible. Think glowing lanterns, lush greenery, cozy seating, and even a mini Ferris wheel that serves your drinks! From savory Chinese skewers to seafood boils and stir-fry dishes, every bite hits that comfort-food sweet spot. Whether you're here to chill with friends or just want something new and fun, this spot gives you all the outdoor adventure vibes -- minus the bugs.
It is like Japanese Karaage chicken to me but with stronger flavor (more MSG in breading etc). It is good for people who have heavy taste buds.
Small store with a few counter seating (with gloves, napkins and hand sanitizer, should you choose to eat in). You can order at the counter or 2 kiosks. I opted to order at the kiosk since there was someone at the counter. They also seem to mostly speak Mandarin, so I like the kiosk option. My order came out within 5 mins, even with the multiple orders ahead of me, and this is only a few minutes after they opened! They did call out the order number in Mandarin, so brush up on your numbers (though I'm sure they'll call it out in English or check with you if no one claims the order). Osmanthus Milk Tea (30% sugar, less ice) has a good osmanthus flavor. Good balance of milkiness, and not too sweet. The less ice option did indeed seem like less ice. My Spicy Chicken Burger was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. I like the craggy bites of batter. Didn't have much of a kick though, maybe could ask for extra spicy next time. The chicken is balanced with a bit of lettuce greens, mayo and soft sesame burger buns. Overall a quick casual spot to hit. Their best seller is the fried chicken breast, so I'll have to try that next time.
This chicken store has been very popular so I had to check it out when passing through flushing. Firstly, I got Combo C which came with a spicy chicken steak, popcorn chicken, fried chicken sandwich (I chose with a boneless drumstick) and 2 lemon teas. After, I realized there were a couple of items that I wanted to try big combo c did not have such as the roasted wings and the chicken skewer. We will start with what I was disappointed with which was the spicy chicken steak and popcorn chicken. These items fell a little short with me and didn't have the feeling of freshly fried, tender chicken. It was definitely hot, however a little dry. The lemon teas were super sugary as well. I did not think to ask if I could lower the sugar level bug I would definitely recommend it. My boyfriend was unable to drink his and I had to dilute it in order to finish mine. Moving away from that, the chicken sandwich was great! I have never had a chicken sandwich made up of a boneless drumstick but wow was it tender! I would definitely be back for this sandwich since this is definitely one of my favorite chicken sandwich places now. Another item I tried was the chicken skewer. I wasn't too hungry so I only purchased one and I regretted it right away when I tried it at home. I love chicken skewers and I have to say I think this one is one of my favorites because it was so tender! After purchasing a lot of fried chicken, I also wanted to try their roasted chicken. It only came with two pieces but this was another item that left me wanting more! The chicken was so tender and flavorful, I would definitely be back to pick it up again! The store is very small so it is a to go spot, however, just be mindful that it does take a while for your food to come out. Luckily, I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting. There is minimal interaction with the staff other than just hearing your number and picking up your order.
Had the spicy chicken steak, popcorn chicken and fried chicken burger with 2 lemon teas. They were part of the package C deal for 22.99. The food in general was tasty and juicy. Service was terrible. Very disorganized in receiving and sending orders. Bags everywhere unclaimed. Staff had to physically go to each bag to find the order number. It took over 30 mins to get our order. Radio is broken playing and then stopping on its own. There is no bathroom either. Overall food is good but service is so chaotic it's not worth visiting again for a while.
quick grab and go spot. JUICIEST CHICKEN EVER. i was shocked not expecting much. They sell skewers, ice cream, milk tea, fried chicken, and so much more. I got the non spicy chicken with cumin and salt pepper. Waited around 5-10 minutes for the food, they fry everything fresh and it was piping hot when i got my food. It's a super small shop, around 5-6 barstool style seats. Not big group friendly, and do not drive! there is no parking !! CHECK IT OUT.
The food is great, until they hired unprofessional and rude workers. This young girl works up front and i politely asked for my fried chicken to have more spicy. She went to the back to tell her worker that and was laughing since the chicken already had spice in it. I knew there was already spice in it but I wanted more. I don't know why it was so funny in the first place, it was rude and disrespectful not knowing the fact that I understand the their language while they were laughing at me that the chicken already had spice. It was very unprofessional that they treat their customers like this especially for those who don't understand their language and took advantage of it. While they were laughing at me and going on their phones consistently, the place was a mess with napkins and trash on the floors and tables. Please fix your workers with some respect to customers who PAY for your food.
Food: The chicken was delicious! It's flavorful, moist, and juicy. Their chicken steak comes in a small or large size as well as spicy or non spicy. The small size is enough for one person, and large is good for sharing. You can choose the flavor of chicken steak you want. I would recommend the cumin if you like cumin. In addition to chicken steak, they offer drinks, ice cream, chicken sandwiches, and combo meals on their menu. Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is self-service after you get your food. Ambiance: The place is very small with only six counter seats which is very tight. Most people take out their food from here. Overall, I would highly recommend this place!
Apparently Zhengxin Chicken Steak is a very popular Chinese fast food chain. I was passing by when the crowded space and brightly lit interior caught my eye, and I'm so glad it stopped me in my tracks. I got the combo #1 of a small spicy fried chicken steak (I added sweet plum seasoning, but there are a few flavors you can choose from) and an iced lemon tea for $8.99. They chop the steak into bite-sized pieces, and the white meat is perfectly cooked and very flavorful while the skin is crispy, made even better with the seasoning to give it an addictive sweet-savory flavor. And you can never go wrong with Chinese lemon tea. You can order from the digital screens or at the register. It's a tiny spot with just a few seats and can get uncomfortably packed, but most people are getting their food to go, so you might be lucky enough to snag a seat if needed.
Craving for fried chicken , so stop by this place. Order their best seller the spicy chicken steak. A small box for $11.99 overall great flavor. Their medium spicy is not really spicy. The chicken strips are thinner than legend chicken, but that make it crunchier, easier to eat, boneless too. Few seating inside. Service is okay.
I have no idea what took me so long to finally try this place out but this was life changing. The chicken from here is like no other. It beats out all of the Taiwanese style fried chicken I've had in the past. This Chinese based fried chicken chain serves up some of the most fragrant and crispy fried chicken. I ordered their classic chicken steak, which I personalized with cumin and salt and pepper seasoning. The aroma of the chicken was incredibly strong but pleasant. The seasoning was generously applied throughout and the chicken had such a delicate but satisfying crunch. The combo was only $8 for a chicken steak and drink. I was also able to upgrade to an osmanthus milk tea for an extra $2. Totally worth it as their drink was creamy and tasty! It's a tight space inside but there are a few chairs if you want to eat it fresh. They also have bottles of seasoning at the table so you can personalize the flavors to your liking.
The famous Chinese fried chicken chain finally came to Flushing! We tried everything that was popular on the menu and it was DELICIOUS!!! Our fav was the Chicken Breast with Plum Seasoning. If you're down for a crazy combo, get their mango sundae with it and it's the perfect pairing!! Will definitely be back
Holy moly spice warning!! After seeing so many videos about this place's chicken, I finally got to try it. The place is extremely small and can only seat like 3-4 people at the window. So I got it to go and ate it at the food court. Prices are super reasonable. We got the popcorn chicken - 4/5 so yummy but even at the medium level spice it was way too spicy! But it was a good portion, crispy, great texture. beef skewers - 2.5/5 this was just ok. For some reason it didn't really taste like beef that much. chicken skewer - 5/5 really enjoyed this. A good medium spice heat! squid leg skewer - 2/5 yummy but this was THE SPICIEST thing at medium level. I couldn't eat it after the second bite. spicy chicken burger - 3/5 this is okay! The sauce is a little too sweet for my liking typhoon shelter chicken patty - 4/5 I like it! They were extremely generous with the portion! The garlic fried tempura-like flakes on top provided great texture. The sauce is good too, would've liked it even more if it were just a tad less sweet. Overall this place is a great addition to flushing. Service is standard, you can order from the kiosk. You can come here for a quick snack or a full meal. They also offer a lot of combos as well as teas and soft serve ice cream. I just wish they were more consistent with the spice level. We ordered medium spicy across the board for all the foods that had that option but it was inconsistent. Great tasting foods, just beware that you may get something a lot spicier than you expect! read more
High quality chicken steaks for fair price The chicken steaks are super juicy and thick cut, with good breading and seasoning. I love this spot for a quick snack. You can get the chicken steak with different kinds of added seasoning. I usually go for the salt pepper. When eaten fresh, it's so tender and crispy. The wait is not too bad. Can be a couple minute wait, but it's well worth it. They're likely being made fresh in batches only when ordered. Not in advanced. Staff are professional, there's also a kiosk for ordering inside as well. Inside only have a couple stools for sitting, but it is a cramped space inside. Mainly a takeout spot. read more

New fried chicken spot in Flushing! This chain is super popular in China, and they've finally opened in NYC. Everything we tried was SO GOOD - crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Our favorite was the Chicken Breast with Plum Seasoning - I'm still thinking about it! read more

For their food. Their chicken steak, sandwiches, fries, & their drinks are truly the best 1s out there. The service was normal, & their ambiance looks a bit small for dining-in Rating: 100/100 read more
New store just popped up close to main. It's next to a few new restaurants and a bunch of old working lady spas. I was enticed by the $9 fried chicken steak and lemon tea combo. I went in and decided I wasn't that thirsty, so I attempted to order a $5.99 spicy fried chicken steak but at checkout, it said I didn't hit the $10 minimum. So I went to the counter and paid cash. You have options for different levels of spiciness, and seasoning options like salt n pepper, cumin, plain, or plum. The plum caught my eye, I was so curious on how that would taste. It took about 10 minutes. It came out really hot and crispy! The plum seasoning was super interesting paired with the spicy seasoning. I liked the pairing but I can see those who do not like sweet n savory, hating this. I can imagine cumin would of been good but I had a bunch of skewers earlier and was cumin'd out . The small serving size is plenty. That and a side with a drink would make a meal for me. The other options look nice, squid, beef and chicken skewers. Chicken wings, fried, a burger, boba, and MATCHA ICE CREAM! I need to try the ice cream one day. $5 soft serve matcha ice cream sounds divine. read more
