When I arrived to pick up the order, I realized the receptionist had entered it incorrectly--she thought it was an order of chicken wings and a separate order of fries. Instead of apologizing, she blamed me for not specifying that it was a "combo" when I ordered. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and am extremely upset, but chose to remain calm. I told her that I did mention "combo," to which she replied, "Then you shouldn't have said you wanted an order of fries." I was furious but explained politely that I wasn't ordering fries separately--I was simply requesting unsalted fries as part of the combo. The receptionist, visibly annoyed, responded dismissively with, "Okay, okay, let's stop here, stop here," which I took to mean she didn't want to continue the conversation. Eventually the correct order was entered. The total was $12.53 (if I remember correctly), and I gave her $13. While I was waiting for my change, she seemed preoccupied with something on her screen, so I went to sit down. When the store leader brought out my order and asked if it was mine, I confirmed and mentioned that I hadn't received my change. Again, instead of simply owning up to the mistake and hand me the changes, the receptionist again shifted the blame to me, saying that I sat down instead of asking her for the change. I was truly appalled by her attitude and behavior. I left the store deeply frustrated by the receptionist's complete lack of accountability, courtesy, or basic customer service. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any business, especially in a customer-facing role. The receptionist is the first and last impression a customer receives, and in this case, it was entirely negative. They are the face of the store and reflects the values of the brand. The French fries were hot and have a nice crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was good. Only complaints are that the tables (there's only 2) in the restaurant are VERY rough looking and the place has a noticeable smell of oil, but that's to be expected at a place like this and they seem to attempt to control it with a long wall of fabric between the kitchen and counter. I was able to try Papa Chicken a couple of times as I spent some time working in the area. The first day I grabbed a combo meal and a wrap. It came with a chicken sandwich, a choice of a side (I grabbed fries) and a drink. The sandwich was made up of dark meat and was rather tasty. The wrap was very good, too. I was impressed with the serving sizes and the overall quality of the food. I particularly liked the sauce that they put on the wrap. I enjoyed the meal so much that I went back the next week and grabbed the exact same thing. Instead of fries, I ordered the mozzarella sticks as my side. They hit the spot. There are a few different locations and I heard that they just opened on in Forest Hills. So omg, the chicken isn't a joke here! it's mouthwatering and absolutely delicious! The size of the chicken cutlet alone is enormous, i had to cut it in half and save it for the next day! I was confused with the menu, i think there's an innocent language barrier. I thought the fries with cheese was cheese fries, but it's mozzarella sticks. Either way it was very good but didn't come with any dip, that's a big deal for me. The operation itself has some work to do with properly naming the menu and getting the order to print correctly. In search of lunch time eats while at work I decided to be brave and check out PaPa. I have passed this place going and coming from work and was curious to see what the chicken was about. At first it appeared to be very similar to the Korean Fried Chicken spots, but its Chinese style fried chicken. I yelped the reviews and there were high praises about the famous "paprika chicken sandwich". I decided to go for it. The menu here is very sparse. Basically chicken cooked your way ( roast, fried - wings, sandwich and wrap). Fries and onion rings. I was disappointed in the side dish options. My coworker and I were famished so he chose a chicken paprika wrap and I had a chicken paprika sandwich with onion rings. The food was prepped fresh so we had about a 10-15 min wait. Service was great. We sat down and listened to some Chinese rap which was very groundbreaking for me. At one point we thought it was Altlanta rappers The Migos. The vibe of this place is very modern style Chinese takeout. Many Yelpers have referenced this place as a typical chicken spot in China. Reminded me of the ambiance of a Korean chicken spot I love. In the end, the order took almost an hour and a half to prepare when they said it'll be ready in 14 minutes. Also, they charged around $52 (excluding tax) for the order when the menu shows that it costs $47.99.
