Great food, vibes and customer service. Owner is respectful and patient with customers. Definitely recommend the soy sauce marinade and the scallion chicken, not greasy at all and scallion refreshes the palate. read more

Basak Chicken Restaurant - Chicken Wings Near Me - Flushing, New York

Ordered take out thru grubhub on a Tuesday night. Thought we would like to try a different korean fried chicken restaurant that is available to us. We ordered 5 pieces of marinated wings and drumlettes & half order of the chicken crispy style. My wife said, out of all we have tried so far... the crispy style we ordered taste very similar to a Korean chain called Nene chicken. Also comes with a side of pickled white radish. As for the marinated ones, I expect it to be soggy as it is drenched in sauce, this one is just okay. We would definitely order here again if we are craving it! read more

Small place, 9 of us occupied 75% of the space. We tried all the flavors they had of the fried chicken/ wings... they were fine... nothing amazing. But the whole chicken was fried perfectly.. very juicy. The gizzards were chopped up too small and were too crunchy, and lacked flavor. The pork leg was good. read more

Craving Korean chicken late at night and did a quick pick up for a soy half chicken. One of the best fried chicken I've had. It has that authentic taste, soy flavor was there but it wasn't drenched in sauce. The flavor was just right. Prices were decent. Will def come back here to dine in next time and try all the other items on the menu! read more

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon to pick up and the place was empty. The store was clean and cute! They have seating. The staff who greeted us were super nice! We tried the tteokbokki and the soy garlic wings and were so impressed! The wings were actually pretty spicy. The tteokbokki was very flavorful! I would definitely come back. read more

I ordered 60 pcs of the crispy wings/drums for a big party and it was such a big hit amongst my group of friends. They all loved the taste of the batter as there was a hint of spice but perfectly crispy!! The service was also fantastic. I was running late and had to pick up my order at a different time and they were able to accommodate the situation and ensured my order would still be hot when I picked it up. The total price came out to around $88 which is not bad at all. Taste 10/10, highly recommend ! read more

There are so many fried chicken joints around the area, I was told this is one of the oldest brand in Korea. I was very curious and gave it a try with my coworkers. They portions are huge, we ordered the boneless chicken with scallions, the fish cake soups, and fried dumplings, total was like $55. At first it seemed pricey before we got the food, but the portions can feed like three people or even four. For two of us, there was a lot left over. The boneless chicken was very juicy, tender and crispy, 10/10. The scallions were separated which was a waste of money for us, we hardly touched the scallion. The rice cake / fish cake soup, was good. It wasn't spicy as I expected. It was a perfect dipping sauce for the chicken. And the fried dumplings were delicious. I will definitely try more of there menu, the chicken wings and drums seems to be very attractive too. read more

Basak Chicken Restaurant - Crispy fried and marinated chicken - Chicken Wings Near Me - Flushing, New York

Some of the crispiest wings I've ever had and a contender for my new favorite Korean fried chicken spot. I ordered some gizzards, soy garlic and marinated wings. The gizzards were forgettable, but it's nice that they had this on their menu. The chicken on the other hand were almost other-worldly. Extremely crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside hands done one of the best prepared chickens I've ever had. The soy garlic wings were relatively bland and flavorless, but the marinated wings had this interesting ketchup taste to it. Definitely will be back as I make my way to all the Korean fried chicken spots in the area read more

I was very impressed by Basak chicken after finally giving this place a try. The restaurant was empty on a Sunday night but had several customers coming in and out for takeout orders. We ordered the Chicken Gizzard and half and half marinated and soy chicken wings. The chicken gizzards were a nice addition, but the star of the show were the chicken wings. The marinated wings were drenched with a sweet and spicy Korean flavor but was still extremely crispy. I preferred the soy wings as I don't like my wings too saucy. Both were cooked to perfection and had the best crispy texture that wasn't too hard like other KFC spots. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 3.5/5 Ordered large regular fried chicken wings / large spicy chicken wings/ large regular yang yum chicken wings / spicy chicken feet The regular chicken wings were really good and crispy; however it has some spice to it. My son couldn't eat it due to that... so note it's a little spicy eventhough it's supposedly original. Spicy is really spicy but I enjoyed it while eating but not afterwards. Chicken gets soggy because of the sauce but that is expected. Regular yang yum is pretty good but same as above get soggy. Spicy chicken feet I don't eat so no input on my end. Family did enjoy it however stated it's not good as last time meaning consistency issue but they will order again. read more

Pretty good Korean fried chicken. Half and half can't go wrong. Didn't have chance to take a picture

So, I came here at about 7:30pm on a Monday, I was immediately greeted and told to sit. Within 30 seconds, we we were given napkins and the menu. Amazing service I ordered the French fries platter, this came with French fries, mozzarella sticks and onion rings. This was amazing, simple and an amazing portion. Then, we got the half chicken, crispy chicken. I was SHOCKED. the chicken, was so crispy and juicy. I've never had fried chicken like this before, EVER. The pricing was extremely fair too. Overall takeaways: amazing food, amazing service, cozy and warm environment. Will definitely be returning. To me, from what I ordered and my experience 10/10. read more

Really good fried chicken. Always get the CRISPY!!!! I recommend getting the whole chicken but my s/o prefers the wings/drums. Marinated chicken is always a safe choice, it's delicious. Cajun French fries were amazing, thick cut fries with tons of Cajun salt on it. We had to ask for water which was strange but all in all, dining in was a good experience. I usually come by for takeout anyways; it's a solid spot. Parking may be tricky because they share the lot with other businesses. Additionally, they take both cash & card. read more

They're open and doing takeout as of 7/3/2020! My friend recommended Basak to us and we were excited to try their crispy fried chicken. We split the crispy wings and cajun fries. The chicken came out soo fresh and juicy. And when they say crispy, they mean crispy!! When it comes to Korean fried chicken, I usually like to stick to soy garlic flavored but it was nice to try regular for once. We were also originally hesitant to try out Basak due to the other yelp reviews but do yourself a favor and give it a try!! BTW they have a parking lot which is always great read more

Not sure why there are ANY BAD REVIEWS for this spot because they know exactly what they're doing when it comes to chicken! My family opened up the very first Korean chicken place in flushing back in the early nineties before Korean fried chicken became a food trend so I'm speaking from experience. Their crispy chicken is on point. They also give a lot. Their box is overflowing. Their radishes are also great with the right amount of crunchy texture and sweet vinegary taste. I've yet to find a place that makes it the way my Halmunee used to for our restaurant but they come pretty close. I actually like that this is kind of a hidden gem but they certainly don't deserve any hate! Mad love for Basak Chicken, keep doing what you're doing! read more

Came here on a weekday for lunch for my first time. The place is small but nice. I ordered the scallion popcorn chicken, it was very good. Not that crispy more softer and great flavor of scallions, which I enjoy. Also got the cajun fries. Now these are big fries like steak fries with cajun seasoning. I am not a fan of big fries since they would need more cooking but they were ok. Than got 5 piece crispy chicken and it was excellent! Has a little spice to it , and is super crispy and juicy. All the food came out nice and hot! Service was great! I definitely will try it again. read more

I've been eating at this chicken place for a couple of months now and I am in LOVE. It is the best chicken ever!!! I've been looking for a long time because of the disappointing ones around town but I can always count on Basak Chicken. If you like your chicken to be crispy and juicy like me then this place is a must. I always order a whole chicken asking for half and half of marinated and crispy chicken. On top of that, I order a side of their french fries which also comes out to be consistently crispy like their chicken. Trust me when I say you won't regret it! read more

Of all fried chicken franchises, this place has the biggest and juiciest wings and drumsticks with consistency after ordering 10 times. 1 out of 5 times, my order can be greasy or not fresh, but it's fine after air frying 5 more minutes and then pamper chicken wings with paper towels. On a good day, when their cooking oil is freshly replaced, the chicken tastes crispy, fresh, and juicy. All other Korean fried chicken places have disappointed me with their smaller-sized portion. I hope this place can keep changing their cooking oil throughout the day because I order in the evening times, then I don't mind ordering more at late hours. Better and less greasy cooking oil would be great too, please. read more

Have ordered from Basak multiple times and the original crispy chicken never disappoints. Their yangnyom is not as good but their original chicken is so crispy and so flavorful.
