    mini chicken sandos
    May A.

great place to order catering from with small, easy to eat bites that are both delicious and filling. i heard they also have $5 chicken sandwich meals here, but i only ordered 14 mini sandos for pick-up for a holiday party. the process was very easy, just called in 24 hours prior to my event for a pick-up order- i believe they also do delivery for a fee. the chicken sandos were a hit, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was rich and flavorful; people were fighting over them, i should have bought more! cash is preferred here, they accept card but there's a higher charge!

After meal snack Friend never had a korean corn dog so we found this place nearby. Split the corn dog as we were all too full to have a full size one. He also ordered fries but difficult to put ketchup. Suggestion: add squeeze bottle instead of giving us ketchup packets since fries were in a plastic bag and difficult to put ketchup on (logistics). Corndog was decent but had better. It was cheesy but wasn't filled all the way and the batter needs improvement. Fries weren't very crispy but more soggy (need to be fry longer). Quick, easy and cheap snack. No fuzz / no frills. Hole in a wall fill with lota of yummy goodies. Simple.

We've passed by K-Munchies a few times and finally decided to try it out. I ordered from a sweet older man (owner if I had to guess). Ordered the spicy double patty smash burger, spicy chicken sandwich, and sweet k-skewers. I noticed on yelp that if you checked in, you get a free small fry. When I showed him, he was unfamiliar with the deal, but quickly gave me the small bag of fries. K-smash burger (double $7) - This was a decent burger served with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, and cheese. If you order the spicy, then there will be slices of marinated jalapenos. This gave the burger a nice kick. Chicken sandwich ($6) - Flavor wise, this was good because the house-made sauce and pickles paired nicely with the fried chicken patty. Similarly to the burger, if you order the spicy there will be jalapenos added. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely dry. K-skewers (2 for $7) - This was my favorite item. The grilled rice cake was still soft on the inside, the sausage had a nice snap to them, and the sweet glaze paired nicely. Fries - Standard fries. I would come back for the smash burger and skewers, but next time I'd like to try the wings, as well.

The name got our attention when we were craving for K chicken. Thank our lucky stars that they have a $1/wing special running until Sunday (1/28/2024) so we ordered about a dozen to try. Opted for half "spicy" which turns out to be the classic spicy soy garlic and the "sweet" which is also soy garlic sans the spice. The wings are surprisingly larger sized for $1. It has the perfect balance of breading to meat ratio and the sauce was tasty but not overpowering. Brought my kids here and they loved it! This is our new go-to spot now for Korean chicken.

Worth the drive to get take out from here, even after a 45 min drive home, everything was still super crisp and warm! The storefront is small and they have some benches if you want to eat in. The owner was very nice and recommended other stuff to try for next time. They earned extra points by having a small parking lot in the back. Let's dig in on what I ordered: Spicy chicken sandwich - similar to the Popeyes chicken sandwich but with better flavor. The chicken was very crispy and moist; coated with a spicy and slightly sweet sauce. There were some jalapeños in there but was not overwhelming. Double Mac burger - smash burger style with the crispy edges and the super thin patties. The meat spilled out from the sides, bigger than the bun itself. It was a little hard to eat since it kept slipping from each side but that just means, I ate it that much faster! Sweet/spicy wings - double fried with a great sweet tangy glaze on the wings. Spicy wings had a nice kick to it but not too spicy. They were still warm when I got home. Twisted bread - super light and fluffy, rolled In cinnamon sugar. I regret only ordering one to try but this is definitely something I would come back for. Cheese balls - not too oily and the batter has a chewy texture to it. The ratio of batter to cheese was about 1:2 which is perfect! Fruity pebble milkshake/grain shake - I wish I had it right when it was made because that was the only thing that didn't survive the long drive home. It was an exceptionally warm day so the shakes just became cereal milk and grain milk. I've never had the Korean grain cereal before but it was an interesting combination. My regrets: Not ordering more twist breads, there is a reason why they had a deal to buy 12! Forgetting the self serve sauces on the side, the spicy mayo would've been amazing with the cheese balls Not having the shakes when I first got it! Not ordering the sweet potato balls, apparently that is another must have item alongside the twist bread.

A family owned business in the Murray hill area of Queens that offer a variety of fried foods and burgers/tacos. Limited seating but they offer plastic gloves and hand sanitizer. Overall I would recommend this place, the price is decent and it definitely satisfied cravings. What was ordered: single patty smash burger, corndog, fried fried pickles, Sweet Chicken sandwich, fries (fries included for free with yelp check in). Fried pickles are a must if you have occasional cravings for something sour and crunchy. They use the same pickles used in the burgers for the fried pickles. The way they fried it, the pickles weren't separated, which is not a big deal. Smash burger was decent, though it was a bit on the cold side when I got it. In contrast the fries on the other hand was really good and was piping hot when we got it. We got the corndog with the potato cube coating. Apparently they add sugar etc when requested like the typical Korean corndog, but honestly I thought it was yummy without it. The sweet chicken sandwich was a favorite, imagine the sweet garlic coating on Korean fried chicken, but on a sandwich. Would recommend this item. On the day we visited there weren't many customers, but it might be hard for them to handle if there was a huge influx of customers at once. Again, it's a small establishment being run by father and son.

Located right in the middle of the action on Northern Blvd, this is a small little shop with a bunch of options for good eats, including korean corn dogs, kimbab, fried pastries and Korean fried chicken. I was drawn to the soy garlic option, which is an option that isn't available at the nearby Jongro Rice Hotdog. It tastes like soy garlic wings but on a hot dog! I wanted it with cheese instead of hot dog and they offered to make it on the spot for an added dollar. They were offering each of us a free sample of their Korean fried chicken, which was pretty decent for the price. Medium sized, crunchy, and juicy with a sticky soy garlic glaze for only $1.25/wing! The guy working at the counter was very friendly and engaging and wanting to connect with our large group of patrons.

K munchies to the rescue! Twice! Last week I had a long day of work in the city and I was craving a delicious and juicy hamburger. As I stop by flushing time to time to check out new spots, I was very tired and almost surrendered to eating a whopper from Burger King. As I checked for a nearby spot, k munchies sounded promising so I decided to try it out, walked a block up and there it was! Although it's a small restaurant, the staff is very kind and the menu is very simple. What caught my eye? That triple smash burger. it was late at night, I waited around 15 minutes for their combo special and if I could describe it... the buns were spot on- well toasted, vegetables were fresh and the meats were perfectly seasoned. I imagine this is what in n out tastes like. They also gave a lot of freshly made fries which I devoured in a few minutes. Now I came back again today because I wanted to try something different and got a few items to eat with a few friends. The crispy chicken sandwich.. now I'm not a huge fan of spicy compared to my friends so I got myself the sweet one. When I took my first bite, the first two things that caught my attention was the sweet sauce along with the innovative shredded cabbage on the sandwich. It's a crunchy explosion packed with that juicy chicken. Definitely give it a try because this may be your new spot! Will be back in a few weeks!

I walked by on my way to the get some flowers and decided to pick up some hot dogs on my way back. The man working was very friendly and sweet. I wasn't sure what to get so I went with the #1 combo which included three different hot dogs. If you spend over $10, you get to spin gachapon machine. I won a twist bread. I shared my spoils with friends. The twist was delicious. We ate it while it was hot. It was nice and chewy reminding me of a mochi donut. The potato dog had a crunchy outside. I had the cheese part of the mixed dog which was nice also. I look forward to going back.

Was feeling a bit peckish after a walk with the wife so finally decided to come try this place. We always walk past it and got a mozzarella potato dog cheese balls and fried Oreos. This little gem has a bunch of fried food goodies, I can't imagine coming here after drinking to enjoy some greasy fried goods. Definitely a hole in the wall spot, the gentleman who helped us was very nice and suggestive. I'm goona come back and try out the other fried food options on my next walk.

Came here for Korean cheese doughnut balls and spicy soy garlic chicken wings. The balls were fragile and crunchy. Cheese was delicious. The chickens were tasty, with garlic flavour. Just the right amount for a meal.

I rarely get fried food but I saw this place was highly rated and they were on Uber Eats. It's a lil further than the main area in Flushing so I'm glad I was able to order online instead of going out of my way. The single burger comes with fries and drink for $11 online. Didn't care for fries or soda. The burger is the flat top style with grilled onions with a slightly spicy sauce. Tasty burger but I wouldn't order it again since I don't want the combo. Also really salty.. The beef patty is very thin so not too filling even for someone small like me. L really liked the chicken wings. Not too saucy as other KFC. The drums were very meaty especially compared to BC. We haven't tried many KFC spots but this is in his top 2 so far. The wings are less salty since it's lightly brushed with sauce but still plenty of flavor. The chicken has good collagen so L really enjoyed it; juicier than BC since this wasn't as crispy. L only wants wings if we were to order from here again. Also tried the regular corn dogs. Hot dogs are also a rare treat for us since they're really unhealthy even if you get the expensive ones from WFs. L didn't care for the hot dog itself but I mean it's not bad if you're used to regular hot dogs. Glad we tried this place.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. They have great reviews and it is definitely warranted. The restaurant has a solid website, giving accurate information about the hours and menu. It indicated that weekday lunch time would be a good time to try their value-based lunch menu, letting us sample some of their dishes. We walked over from our hotel just before their opening time of noon, and got in line just as they opened. It was a decent size queue, but the dining space inside was large, and everyone in line was able to be seated (including us). Our main server was Jiwoong, and she was lovely throughout. A carafe of tap water was provided with two glasses, so we could refill our own water (I love this about Korean restaurants...wish other restaurants did something similar). Multiple servers interacted with us throughout, and the beautifully prepared food was delivered exactly on time, with the proper temperature. We ended up ordering 4 things. The non-ipa beer on tap was Ball Lightning Pilsner ($9 for 12 oz) and it was OK. Fried Cod Appetizer ($15) - coming out first, the five chunks of lightly deep fried cod was OK, enhanced by the tartar like sauce. There are four choices from the Lunch Premium Bapsang (a set meal with rice, Japanese equivalent is Teishoku), and we chose two of them. I had the Grilled Atka Mackerel ($19), and my wife had the Spicy Pork BBQ ($21). Both came with white rice, a light bean sprout soup (decent), kimchi (not my favorite), a simple green leaf salad, 3 banchans (loved the fish cakes), some grapes, and a light custard based dessert (which was good). I liked my mackerel, well prepared and fried. The pork was indeed spicy with good flavor. Reading about the restaurant later, learnt that the name came to the founder, meaning two things. 'Han' represents a uniquely Korean emotion of mixed grief, sadness, and hidden resentment...we know that we shouldn't feel this way, but we feel a bit better that other Koreans feel it too. It is also the last name of the founder's mother (most Koreans keep their last name after marriage), so the name is an homage (that's what I read on their facebook page) to her. The restaurant is part of the Resy network, and thus using our AMEX provided a $20 statement credit (once a month...this is my favorite sort of credit since the credit is entirely funded by AMEX, and the restaurant gets their full charged amount). Payment was handled at the table, and we were out in under an hour. As we were leaving, we noticed that there now was a queue to get in, so we came at the right time. In terms of the food, I thought the overall taste was good, but the service, extremely reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and just the overall atmosphere bumped this up to a great rating.

The restaurant has a very authentic Korean BBQ atmosphere, making the dining experience feel even more enjoyable. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. One helpful tip: if you're making a reservation, be sure to double-check that you're going to the correct location. There's another restaurant with the exact same name directly across the street, so it can be a little confusing. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Probably the best KBBQ experience I've had in NYC so far…read more It's definitely not cheap, but I thought it was worth it. We got the large set for 4 and there was more than enough food for everyone. Didn't order any drinks, but the meat quality was excellent, and our server cooked everything pretty well so we could just sit back and enjoy. The service was top-notch too. They kept bringing out refills of the side dishes including steamed egg without us having to ask, which I always appreciate. We made a reservation, which I'd recommend especially on a weekend, and got seated right away with no wait. The set also came with vanilla ice cream at the end. Another nice bonus is that if you pay in cash (there's an ATM inside), you get about 10% off. If you don't mind spending a little more for really good quality and service, I'd definitely recommend this place!

We were early too, they seated us, and then they came by to ask if we wanted to place an order about 4-5 times before the party was completely there. And when we wanted to order more food, at the 45 minute mark, they had to "check if there was time left" on our reservation. I understand they're very busy and have bookings, but it was only about 45 minutes in. Anyways, the experience itself was great. They cooked all our food for us and everything was great quality. Banchans were refreshed and refilled - sometimes without being asked. We were very well taken care of. The pancake was good as well as the tartare. HIghlight was definitely the meat and banchans though. We all got ice cream at the end and birthday boy even got a candle in his with some sprinkles. Super cute and very nice of them.

The kimchi fried rice with steak - it's like 5 slices of steak but it's so good. Fried egg too. I finished that whole thing so fast. I can't even lie, it was so good. I could see myself getting this again. Vibes are immaculate, the service was good with my glass never getting empty. They have a max sit time of an hour and 45 minutes. We ordered marbled beef steak and naengmyeon, hoping for a speedy meal. Surprisingly, the beef, cold noodles and banchan all blew us away. The marbled beef was outstanding, and our server grilled it perfectly -- it melted in our mouth. Their mushroom sauce was absolutely fantastic. The broth for the buckwheat cold naengmyeon was authentic beef stock, rich and savory without overpowering the natural flavor of the ingredients. The banchan were also incredibly well-made; we finished nearly every side dish on the table. Service was quick and efficient too. It's such a shame we only discovered this restaurant on our final day, we wish we'd come here earlier. I'd highly recommend this spot. Overall rating: 4.5 to 5 out of 5 stars.

It's extremely crispy and very high quality. A large issue I had at this establishment was the service. The server felt unfriendly, and whenever we tried to flag him down, he wouldn't even look at us. It took around 20 minutes after our meal to get our check which was ridiculous. It was a shame because this was easily one of my favorite meals in NYC, but I don't know if I would return solely due to the service.

You get to choose three appetizers, two mains, and one dessert, so it's a great way to try a variety of dishes, especially if you're sharing. The service was friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was pretty busy. We did have to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation before being seated, but everything went smoothly after that. The restaurant is beautiful inside- liked the interior design choices a lot! My favorite dishes were the asparagus japchae, lotus root gangjeong, and the Korean melon dessert. Overall really enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back to try the regular menu.

What I got: - Asparagus Japchae: Very good - instead of traditional Japchae noodles, it's sliced asparagus and mushroom. The marinate was delish! - Shrimp Pancake: It was more like an omelette. Not so much of the actual pancake batter. - Spicy Fried Chicken: Nicely fried, standard. The spicy sauce is on the side, which allows us to adjust our bite. - Bossam: I enjoyed this! More Bossam pieces than lettuce, but overall taste of the meat was good. It didn't have the "bland pork" taste. - Pyongyang Cold Noodle: This was my first time having this dish. Seemed pretty traditional. The broth was on the lighter end for me. - Korean Melon: LOVEDD this dessert! A refreshing way to end the meal. The menu denotes cheese, but it wasn't even noticeable. It has a few toasted pine nuts mixed in, which were SOO good. Overall, a very filling meal and worth the $60 restaurant week value! Nothing absolutely blew me away, BUT the flavors were solid and the staff were great. Would come back for another deal!
