It looked like they served me a burger from a week ago. I posted up a picture you guys can see. The cheese was not even melted. They served me cold cheese straight out the fridge. I would give this place a zero if I could my husband and I literally had the worst experience at this location. The time on the door clearly says they close at 10pm my husband and I got there at 940 pm the manager named Anthony said they were closed and refused to serve us.On the way out there was a huge cockroach my husband mentioned the cockroach to the manager and told him to shut the f**ck up and get out .I don't know how In the world this moron got a position to be a manager!!! read more

So, this is my first time here. The cashier was extremely nice and helpful. Anyways...... to the food. I ordered a little hamburger with mayo, onions, ketchup, green peppers, jalapeño peppers and a side of little fries to go. My burger had no mayo nor onions and it was soooooo dry! I waited 30 minutes for a milkshake and had to ask for a refund. They had already reached number 99, having skipped my order number, 95. I consider myself to be a very patient person, but I found myself asking the staff about my milkshake several times. After waiting 30 minutes I had deduced that they had forgotten about me and requested a refund. After an employee gave me the refund, he proceeded to attend to make a milkshake for someone else. If this had been the only occurrence where I had been forgotten about, I would be significantly more forgiving. Quite a lot of "Security Cameras" which makes me wonder what's up. But, I definitely recommend it before catching a movie @ Fresh Meadows. Five Guys definitely serves one of the better chain burgers. Burgers are juicy and while I appreciate having two patties, neither of them are particularly thick. There's always plenty of cheese, and bacon, though. And their burgers have great structural integrity... I haven't had one fall apart on me yet, which is something I truly appreciate in a burger. The fries can be hit or miss. They taste great, and the portions are fantastically huge, but sometimes they can be a bit soggy, which takes away from the overall fry eating experience. The service here is good, and the waiters/cooks have been nothing but polite to me. But the tables can be dirty, and the place is always deserted so I feel weird eating here. read more

My boyfriend had a sudden urge for Five Guys at 9:55 on a weeknight and phoned in an order for two burgers and fries. Given that they close at 10pm at this location, the guy on the phone sounded a bit harsh and clarified over and over again that they do indeed close at 10. Nevertheless he still took our order (yay!) and we picked it up at 10:01. I got a little bacon cheeseburger with mayo, ketchup, mushrooms, green peppers, lettuce, tomato, and pickles (yay for unlimited toppings!), my boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger with ketchup, lettuce, and barbecue sauce, and we shared an order of fries. Came out to $19.90. The burgers were meh. They were okay, nothing special. The fries (which is what I had been looking forward to) were Cajun, we ordered regular but whatever, and very soft, not crispy at all. I'm sad to say our regular was just that - regular. They usually have a full cup and fill up the bag too, gr! Three stars for the burgers, +1 for taking our order last minute, but -1 for the subpar fries. I'd rather have Shake Shack. read more

I've been coming to this 5 guys for years and definitely will be returning once in a while. I love good burgers and they deliver-- it just isn't always so perfect. I ordered delivery off doordash once, and the cajun fries were SO SALTY. I think someone must've spilled way too much salt or something. The burgers get very soggy and the buns are gone by the middle of my meal, but they taste great! I have experienced my burgers being a little too overcooked & well done, and I'd appreciate if they toasted their buns. It might even help with the soggy issue. They've messed up an ingredient or two in my order a few times but it happens. The hot dogs are overpriced IMO but the burgers are alright considering the unlimited toppings. Their restaurant is fairly clean. The tables get very messy with the burgers and soda but they tidy things up at a reasonable pace, and the restrooms are nice. The staff is friendly & helpful. Full of young people and minorities which I can appreciate. Expect to wait a bit for the burgers, but they work as fast as they can. read more

Having never been to Five Guys before, I was assuming that because of higher price point, there will be a higher quality point. This was not to be. I ordered three regular hamburgers, one large fry, one Diet Coke and one water bottle. The price - a staggering 39 dollars, considering what I got. The receipt said "little hamburgers" and as I looked at the workers assemble our order, everything looked pretty small. I went back to the cashier and said that I ordered regular burgers, not "little hamburgers", to which she replied that regulars were double patty, which I declined. I explained that it was my first time and she should have explained what the difference between little and regular burgers was and not just assume I wanted the little ones. I offered to pay the 99 cents difference per order, but was told by the manager that if they added it now, it would cost me 6 bucks instead of $2.97, which of course, made no sense. Regardless, for about 40 dollars, we got three very disappointing limp buns, tiny juiceless burgers, half-decent fries and really poor customer service. I've ordered food from this location several times now. I have been disappointed each time. Issues I have: - over cooked beef patties. I've noticed their beef patties are over cooked. Some parts being not tasty at all. Which is especially disappointing knowing how well a 5 guys beef patty can be when cooked well. - poor construction. I ordered a bunless burger and the lettuce wrap was just random lettuce soaked in sauce poorly wrapped and not proportional. I've had other locations that actually wrap it and it is delicious. The normal bun isnt much better and generally has come really wet, and off to the side. - missed items. Ordered an extra patty ( extra 2 dollars) completely missing. Some other sides missing as well. Overall: When it comes to this location it is a pass for me. Just doesn't have the attention to detail of other 5 guys in the area (woodhaven location is great). read more

Random drop in - was on my way back home from out-of town. I felt like hey why not get a burger . Ordered my food - first of the cashier was trash - i guess she knows and only talks to regulars . My order was taken. No biggie. I grab my drink and im waiting they start calling numbers - i am number #27 guess what ? Number # 31 got called number #30 and #29 and #28 got called. After 15-20 min wait heres my one patty burger with cold fries. I was hungry and on a 6 hour drive , so i ate my food and kept it moving. I came here twice, and the burgers here are great. The fries are good as well. You pretty get what you expect from a Five Guys burger place. The difference is the location good for those that drive, because its in fresh meadows. You can however take a bus. The prices here appear to be more expensive than the other five guys locations. It is conveniently near the AMC 7 on Horace harding expressway, so this is a convenient place to eat right before or after the movies. read more

I don't come here often, as it's not the cheapest place to grab a bite, but it is delicious. I dont believe I ever stood there and watch the employees prepare the orders, but I did today. It was during dinner time, they were a little busy, but these young men worked there butts off. Not once did any of them stop moving or stop working together to get the orders completed. While they were busy behind the counter another employee was on the customer side of the counter cleaning tables and sweeping the floor. The staff here is really awesome. They know how to have fun when they work. That being said, get ready for this review. It has been months since I came here and now I remember why. The food is absolutely horrible. The burgers are no better than Wendy's, and that is saying a lot for Wendy's, the grilled mushrooms were raw, and the fries were burnt, cold and looked like they had been deep fried at least four times. No joke. The fries are supposed to be their staple, well I will never eat here again. One last thing about the atmosphere. The food is decent and overall the taste is not horrible, however the service wasn't great! The two men behind the counter kept making jokes about how they were pedophiles and how I was a "scared little girl", I don't feel like they were particularly appropriate when all I wanted was to get a burger. They also kept humming/singing songs with lots of curses and profanity and kept me waiting on line. I'm surprised to see this place with a 3.5 average rating. Besides the fact that I love having 5 Guys in my mouth, I've never had a bad experience at this location. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I always get my food in a timely manner. Was confused when I saw 3.5 stars. The food is the food. It's always been the same no matter what location I find myself at. That's the burgers or the fries. I always get a bag full of extra fries. Never been short changed on that. Never had a problem with this place until recently. First bad experience was last week when it was raining and went to retrieve my order online. My mask got soaked so I decided to cover my face w/shirt. The female manager began berating and pointing the finger to leave. Another coworker nicely suggested to go to CityMD, where they would give me a free mask which I did. When I came back in she did refused to acknowledged that I was there to pick up my order. She seemed frustrated while making the fires. I noticed 2 females with No MASKS talking and she didn't say a thing to them, am assuming they work there since they went to the back of kitchen. I retrieved my order and left, fries had no flavor btw. Yesterday her and another female were taking in Spanish and she must have assumed that the customers didn't understand. Her and other worker were talking badly about us and in Spanish said " these ppl get their period worst then I do" . Whatever that was supposed to mean. As a first responder and a resident in the area I feel that at a time like this you should be lucky your working and whatever feeling you have towards your job or others, they need to express them elsewhere. I usually love this location but I had a bit of a negative experience here today. The staff here is friendly and hospitable for the most part, which I love. However, I went in today for Little Fries and a Kosher Hotdog (my emphasis usual order) unfortunately it took the guy on the grill around 15 minutes to make my hotdog because he had so much food on the grill. As a result my hotdog was over done and even a bit charred..it was edible but definitely could've been better...they didn't even recognize their mistake or offer to remake it. After shake shack, five guys burgers is a close second for best chain burger in new york city (maybe not even second, maybe a 1A because the burger is almost comparable and the wait is so much shorter). The toppings are great and the burgers are always made right when you order - makes the wait a little longer than at McDonald's but well worth it. They offer free peanuts for you while you wait. The portions for the fries are just ridiculous. This is the perfect for a morning after hangover cure. Happy eating, suckers. read more
