The first step is to admit you have a problem. I've been a closet White Castle craver for years (decades?), but I guess it's time to come out of the closet and into the light. I get the crave every once in a while and when it hits, you have to get some of those steam-grilled sliders. You can get frozen ones from the supermarket, but they're just not the same as going to the real magilla. This White Castle in Bayside is at the majorly busy intersection of Northern Blvd and Bell Blvd. There is a small parking lot with room for 5 cars plus 1 handicap spot and there is a drive-thru with the entrance as you come south on Bell Blvd. I usually like to go inside to order, but as we pull into our parking spot a see a white Mercedes pull in next to us and they order from the app as we go inside. We like the Bacon Cheeseburgers, so we get 4 of those along with 2 Fish sandwiches with cheese. We always get the Fried Clam Strips, but I was shocked that a sack now is $13.69, Yikers! It was a tossup between the Chicken Rings and Onion Rings, but we go with a sack of Chicken Rings, which was 20 rings for $9.29. They were surprisingly better than the ones we've had before with better taste and are thicker. There is also a new limited time menu item, the Fajita Chicken sandwich and it was probably the best thing on the menu. WC's chicken sandwich usually is one of their rings on a bun, but this is way better. It is a fried white meat fillet topped with jalapeno cheese and it tastes really good. For $2.99, it's a pretty good deal. Our order is filled in less than 10 minutes and we're back on the road going home to enjoy our goodies. The total order was $47.36, which is way more than any White Castle order I've had in the past, so it's no longer the cheap value meal it once was. read more

This is my second review of this White Castle. Again, the ambiance, cost, and quality of food are typical White Castle. However, very disappointed with the service. First, my wife ordered I believe a 20 slider combo, but we received only 10 sliders (although she was appropriately charged for the latter). More importantly, I went back to the counter. There were 4 or 5 people behind the counter, and nobody in line, literally. I stood there for a few minutes trying to be patient. It would have been nice if someone said "I'll be right with you Sir." But no one acknowledged me, and I felt like I was being ignored. I know I probably should have said "'excuse me". But I was so disgusted, I just walked away. Zero stars for service. read more

I love White Castle's cheeseburgers - as a kid, my parents use to buy this for us as a special treat. As an adult I would sometimes buy them from the frozen section of a supermarket. However, nothing beats a fresh slider from White Castles. Their onion rings are still king in my book. This place on the corner of Northern and Bell Blvd. has been here for as long as I can remember - at least 25 years. They have a small parking lot and a drive thru as well. When I went today at lunch time, they were not too crowded, however, service there is not the swiftest. Ran here for a cravings of their sliders. It's been a while never had it so getting it today excites me. It still sane burger I remember. The difference now, as I get older, the size of a piece is just perfect . We are having guests coming over so I went for their crave case. It's quite pricier now especially for the options with cheese. For the count of 30, I was allowed to incorporate few vegan slices with my case. The manager was nice enough to explain that I could do mix and match with future crate purchase. They offer now chicken sliders for your information. I placed an online order and went inside to pick it up because the drive-thru line was long. It was around 9:30 or 10pm, and the store wasn't busy -- there were about 4-5 employees working. I stood at the register for over 5 minutes without anyone greeting me or even acknowledging I was there. They were making orders, but no one said anything like "we'll be right with you" or gave any update. When I finally asked about my order, it still wasn't ready. Overall, the wait was long and the lack of basic customer service was disappointing. They really need to improve how they interact with customers inside the store. read more

This White Castle was just recently redone with all new outside and tables. Need to mention what this White Castle didn't get right is all the pictures of the staff here from the 1930s to 1950s. That was very nostalgic and nice to see a different bygone time of the past. That said the food is the same and the staff here worked well together. When on the East Coast, you have to try out White Castle right?! I visited here with my husband in August 2021. We were staying at a hotel nearby and wanted some late-night eats. Since our flight landed at JFK on a late Saturday evening, most of the restaurants in this area were closed after 10pm. White Castle to the rescue! I believe we ordered a Crave Pack that had a bunch of sliders, chicken rings, and fries as part of the combo. It was a huge amount of food for two people! However it was a great way to try different items on their menu. We added cheese to our sliders. We ordered all our food to-go to eat back at our hotel. I'm glad that we did that since the restaurant itself felt a little bit dingy. Even in non-pandemic times, I probably would have felt a little iffy eating inside there. The food was prepared pretty quickly and things tasted fresh. We liked the sliders and chicken rings. The fries ended up being a little soggy. Overall if you need a quick bite in this area, go ahead and grab some White Castle to-go! read more

Are these greasy mini burgers made from high quality angus beef? Probably not. But they are really satisfying when you are craving late night junk food. If you never tried them before, the sides are also really good at White Castle. The fried clam strips, mozzarella sticks, French fries, chicken rings and onion rings are all great by fast food standards. The workers are mostly friendly and get your order to you right away. What can I say about this White Castle? I've been coming here for approximately 30 years. Form Junior high school days to college to my 20s and 30s. This location recently underwent a major renovation, which made it look super nice. The service has always been real solid but I wanted to point out that the drive thru guy that's been there for like 20 years (Male/light skinned black or hispanic) is one of the nicest and most competent fast food workers that I have ever dealt with. Okay so if you don't know about Belly Bombers, then you need to experience them at least once in your lifetime. And this is definitely the best food to have after a have drinking night. After taking hubs to NYC several times, somehow time ran out and I never had the opportunity to take him. Belly bombers are the absolute best food when you are drunk, hungover, or want to prevent both! They have added some odd items to the menu throughout the years but I usually go for the classics. I usually get their onion rings and French fries as well. I visited here twice during our last 2 visits home. The first time, they were not really busy but we must have waited at least 30 minutes. Granted, we were ordering for us and my family. The friggin order was over $50! My pops gave me I think $30 to cover it but him and my mother almost shit themselves! I guess it has been a while since we ordered from here! For some reason, we were not super happy with how everything tasted. The onion rings were probably the worst I ever had. It is at the end of Bar row and many many people get belly bombers in the hopes of sobering up on the way home lol! I have been here way too many times to admit! Going inside is another story entirely! It is high time for the WC brand to get a refresh.... The late 80s / early 90s aesthetic is severely outdated and not in a nostalgic way. The cold feeling dinning room with plastic tables and chairs bolted/cemented into the ground has got to go! Also their staff has to do a better job cleaning it. I have never been in a WC that was amazingly clean, like EVER! Although it is 95% messy customers that do not clean up after themselves, WC has a responsibility to clean up after those types of customers. The food here is other worldly! I used to be able to plow through 10 or more of the slilders, but not no more... I can do 3-5 and I am done! They are still great though! I just pay for it hours later.... I really like their sliders with cheddar, but the American tastes exactly like it hahah! I am a massive fan of their Mozz sticks!!!! Best in the industry, and always made fresh just for you. One star solely because I love sliders. I'm a life long New Yorker and pretty much visited every location in Queens but this one has to be the absolute slowest. Keep in mind I've been to this location (no exaggeration) at least 100x but tonight's drive through takes the cake thus I must write this review. I pulled into drive through and the car ahead just moved so I'm next in line. I was greeted and just as I expected from previous experience, I was told to give them a minute. Well 9 minutes passed and finally I placed my order. From that moment until I actually received my food with only one car in front of me was another 22 minutes. This sets a new record for drive through. C'mon really? 1/2 hour for 7 sliders and a large iced tea? I'm at a loss for words because my 9 year old nephew can move faster. Owner and management, you need to really sit down and come up with a solution because you're loosing loyal customers. No matter how good the sliders are, no one is willing to put up with the ludicrously long wait time. How come McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's blocks away can service their customers 10 times faster? I can only assume their staff and owner is more competent. In addition, can I get reimbursed for the fuel which was wasted while spending all that time idling??? No doubt I share the same sentiment as many other reviewers here about the snail pace service and finally given up on this location. I tried the new chicken rings and fish nibblers because they looked appetizing on photo and smell near my area. I came here this week just because I wanted to see if it improved in flavor from a long time ago before covid. It is still bad. I love White Castle. I live in California, where you can only get the frozen. They're OK, but not as good as at the restaurant. This restaurant is great, as the employees are nice, and the prices are reasonable. They have the original burger and cheeseburger sliders, and you can choose from 3 different kinds of cheeses. They also have chicken sliders, (Try the chicken slider on a waffle bun.) fish sliders, and more. They even have veggie sliders and "Impossible sliders" that almost taste like real meat. Vegetarian options at White Castle? Who'da thunk it??? For your sides, besides the usual fries and onion rings, You can get clam strips, fish nibblers, (like fish stick nuggets), and more. They have a good dessert selection, too. They also have a good selection of breakfast sliders, with egg, bacon, sausage, or any combination thereof. Get the app, and join the "Craver Nation." With the app, you can order online, and go down and pick up your food. It definitely saves time. When you first join the "Craver Nation", they give you a free combo meal, and they also toss you some good deals from time to time, too. For fast food, it's very good, but hey... this is definitely not "Diet Food". As they say on Food Network, "Fat is Flavor." (Tell me he didn't just quote Food Network in a review of White Castle...) Glad to have this longtime White Castle back running as 24/7, the location's recent renovation is clean and bright. Service at the counter was efficient and courteous. Sliders and fries were great, though 2 of the 6 I ate were slightly dried out patties. Quality never changes, I have been going to this W/C for over 25 years and never had any problems, W/C is the most consistent burger place there is. When this W/C went 24 hours I was elated. The only problem is when I go for breakfast in the mornings, the young lady at the drive through has an accent which is no problem except that she always wears a mask making it an ordeal to order, which is not a good experience. I stopped after I decided to try and eat healthier and not put myself in a precarious situation from all the riffraff's that eat here in the middle of the night but as you can see that didn't deter me from my returns 15 years later. I haven't had white castle in so long because I normally don't eat fast food (and if I do, it's always McDonalds). But today, the doctor I work with was super generous and decided to buy all the employees lunch. We got the 30 slider box with the original sliders, cheese sliders, and the jalapeño cheese sliders. On the side, we got the fries and it totaled out to be ~$34. There were 6 of us and we all ate plentifully!!!
