We stopped in on an early Monday evening, and there were just a few other customers. The space is on the smaller side, and our server was friendly enough. We each ordered a draft beer (nice perk with $2 off during happy hour), along with the classic double smash, plus a side of fries and onion rings. The burger was quite greasy, but otherwise enjoyable. It had good flavor and nice crispy edges, though I wish there was more of the house burger sauce, I could barely taste it, and that's usually what gives a burger its signature. The most annoying thing is the children. The environment is not appropriate for young children but parents still bring them.. Most of the time they are wiling.. No supervision from said parents... When they first remodeled from a specialty sandwich shop to a craft beer pub, I was quite disappointed. Now I can't get my favorite chopped cheese or sriracha egg sandwich in the neighborhood anymore. However, I come to realize that having a dependable spot for an excellent burger is a pretty nice too. They do a great classic smash burger with a crispy crust and juicy beef. The toppings are always fresh and the bread is extremely fluffy. While the brioche bun is delicious, I may have a slight preference for the sesame seed bun of the Stack Mac. You really can't go wrong with any of their burger offerings. Obviously, a pub needs some tasty fried foods to go with their nice selection of craft beers. Thankfully, they do. The tater tots and onion rings are both really fantastic. Only thing currently still needs a bit of work is their chicken wings. Not bad for roasted wings, but I wish they were fried. During playoff season, I have come watched games while enjoying their offerings. It's never too busy, which makes it perfect for me. Tried to order the chicken caesar salad I've had from this place that I have enjoyed so many times only to learn that they've updated their menu and seemingly have truly become a bar-food only venue. Nothing on the menu is that appealing to me anymore unless you're looking for a burger/beer-friendly greasy food. But I still went to check out the beer selection, which also seems to have gone downhill a bit. The beers have always been ~$8-10/beer, which was fine when the vibe was friendlier. However, the cashier tonight could not have cared less that I was there. I think she acknowledged me once for the sake of ringing up the beers I had selected but the rest of the interaction was done between me and the iPad while she joked along with her friend. Stopped by here twice within a week, because we enjoyed it so much the first time. It's a great space to come and have a beer and some food in a relaxed setting. On a weekday, for lunch, it was empty and on a Sunday late afternoon there were a few tables taken. They specialize in craft beer and there are lots of options. Draft beer available are located on the TV screed across from the refrigerators. The refrigerators are filled with tons of options by the can which you can enjoy there or buy to take home. Both the Nitro Stout and the Czech Style Dark Stout were great You can order at the counter, take a seat and everything will be brought to you along with a bottle of water. The food is quite good. The crispy chicken sandwich was piled high with crispy chicken. The Cheesy Bacon Tots, were so delicious, melty cheese, crispy tots and bacon with cherry peppers and garlic aioli..they totally hit the spot. The Chopped Cheese was good and enjoyable albeit a bit messy. The wings were meaty and had great flavor, but could have been crispier. The fries are excellent. Give me a beer and some of those fries and I'd be very happy. It's a great neighborhood place, that I wish I had visited sooner. read more

The Local Mkt got an upgrade in a major way and I'm so here for it!!! Now instead of a deli it's a full on eatery. I used to always get my chopped cheese sandwiches from here but now I go for the wings. They still have a large collection of beers but the menu has changed up a bit. They have wine on tap too. I highly recommend the mushroom truffle burger it's so cheesy and I'm just a fan of both items. Now if you are not a fan of either of those things , try another cheese burger or get into the wings!!! The lemon pepper wings here were the best I've had. They have weekly specials and are closed on Mondays. Definitely come out , watch a game, play some games (they have cards and board games available), grab a beer (or 3) and enjoy this chill Queens spot! Shout out to the team that works here! (Update: PLEASE GO BACK TO THE REGULAR SMASH BURGER. The burger I had yesterday with a Kaiser roll is not a smash burger. It's a bready nightmare that steals the flavor away. In fact there's nothing worse on a burger than that giant roll. Being told it's better does not make it better. lol. I ate the meat yesterday (good meat, but not smashed or crispy), but left the bread. PLEASE TELL ME YOU'll go back to the original. I want to go back!) They have a good amount of seating if you want to order some food, they have a variety of different kinds of food to order from wings, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salad and more! Since it's a small space, the server is also the cashier and bartender. But he did not disappoint and was keen to addressing all our needs. Food was good. The service was good, although it's not table service - you have to go to the bar to order food. Having said what - it's not a big deal. The guy at the bar was very nice and he quickly offered tasters if the beers they have on draft. Once you order, they do bring the meal out to your table. I sat inside but they also had 2 outside tables. The burger I had was AWESOME!! I can eat and the double mushroom Swiss burger was all I could handle along with the fries (the fries were good, not great). They only have a limited draft selection. It was only 4 beers the day I came in, but they had 5 large fridges with a huge variety of cans of all styles from all over. It might be small, but in my opinion - they delivered big. My hunny had The Reuben on a hero and I had a Chopped Cheese on a hero with Beer Battered Onion Rings. We both loved our sandwiches. Lori ann - Delicious. Me personally i would prefer more salami over turkey, more dressing and more lettuce. But overall it was a good sandwich Cheeseburger - I didnt realize that when i ordered it, it was going to be two patties. I did not read the description. However this burger was delicious. And i'm not a burger person. So this means a lot. Cheesy bacon tots - Super yummy. Not to mention big portion. And they were not stingy with the toppings! Chicken fingers - i mean it's chicken fingers. But these aren't the small ones that are just batter. These were yummy. And they were not stingy with the honey mustard! I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this place! I've been living in the area for three years now and I've been dying to find a new local eatery. I have to say that I'm so excited that I found this gem! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming when I walked in and the music was on point. I immediately knew that I would love it because of the vibe. Another plus was the wide range of craft beers that they had. I love craft beer so when I saw the beer selection I was sold! They feature beers from local breweries across the boroughs. You can order your food and pick any beer from the fridge while you wait for your food to come out. Now on to the best part of this place which is obviously the food. My fiancé and I shared a loaded bacon tots appetizer. It was a BIG portion size! You can definitely share it between 2-3 people. We also shared the Supremo sandwich and it was to die for. It was a loaded, stacked sandwich with the freshest cherry peppers. It had a perfect amount of spice and it tasted incredibly fresh. I cannot wait to come back and try every item on the menu. This is THE spot to get sandwiches. I adore this place. We tried their hot sandwiches when they first opened (pre-pandemic) before all the branding was done and we were sold. Chicken cutlet was delicious. Great portion size, meaty, flavorful and so satisfying. Literally wolfed it down on the street. Now that we are done hibernating as winter is over, we ventured out to grab some sandwiches again as their menu is super cute. Love the items named after local streets. Loubet street hero - loved the avocado in this. The sandwich was good. Chopped cheese - so, so, so good. Kids loved it. I loved it. Can't go wrong. Super filling and so worth it. Seasoning on the ground beef is yummy. Highly recommend. Cobb salad - the grilled chicken is delicious. Nice to see balsamic vinagrette on the menu. Wish it was a mixed green or romaine. Can be tough to mix in the container and a little challenging to eat if you prefer your salad ingredients tossed. Their strengths are their hot sandwiches. Overall, the sandwiches were good because of the fresh bread. Makes all the difference for a sandwich. One tip is to call in advance if you can. Will be less of a wait. 15-20 minutes for my three items. It was so good, so fresh, and great quality. To top it off, the service is fantastic. The woman at the counter was friendly and kind - something we all need in the world right now. Been to this spot a few times now and I have to say, they do the best sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll in the area. I did a comparison with a well-known bagel store, and Local Mkrt won. I love that they have bougie cold brew, however I wish they had large sized cups. That medium cup isn't cutting it for my iced caffeine fix. They have basic kitchen staples: sugar, flour, pasta, sauce, etc along with a wide variety of drinks, including a nice selection of organic, non-dairy health drinks. The menu is pretty large and they make quite a few sandwiches. Tried their Reuben last night. You can tell the quality of a place by the quality of the meat they use. There was no fat on the thinly-sliced corned beef whatsoever. It wound up soggy, but that was my fault for asking for extra sauce and saurcraut and then traveling with it. Next time, I'll see if they can do toppings on the side. The flavor was still there, though, and was very good. I'm gonna have to go back to try this chopped cheese thing. Lived in NYC my entire life and have never eaten this. 10/10 would recommend Local Mkrt. read more

A lot of my coworkers love this place and I'm not quite there yet. Apparently they coffee is everything but I don't drink coffee. So I decided to try a bagel, well it taste like a Thomas bagel from the bag nothing special at all. Then I decided to try pancakes, that was a disaster, it was nasty. So I haven't return. Eggs with your choice of cheese on a roll for $3.50! I usually get mozzarella with mine and the cheese is so ooey gooey and melted to perfection. They have a unique selection of snacks, drinks and staple grocery items if you are in a bind and cannot get to the grocery store. Their deli meats and cheese are great for making sandwiches at home. I was really looking forward to trying this place based on all of the stellar reviews. I stopped by early this morning (Saturday) for a breakfast sandwich. According to the menu, they offer a variety of choices of bread (roll, bagel, croissant, toast, wrap), so I decided on a BEC on a croissant. They seemed to be prepping a lot of online / phone orders, so it took close to 20 minutes for my sandwich to be ready. I walked home, opened up the bag, and found a delicious BEC...on a roll, not on the croissant that I asked for. I will definitely give this another chance, and maybe order in advance next time. We went with our two kids and we're able to enjoy the food and assortment of beers while we played some of the games they have available. Heard about this spot and had to check it out. Ended up going twice in one day for breakfast and lunch. They have an extensive sandwich menu, salads, juices, smoothies and some grocery items. For breakfast I got the "Healthy Start" with egg whites, turkey bacon, spinach and avocado on whole wheat bread.
