As soon as you walk in, you can tell this place is full of warmth. Ventured here before and enjoyed it so I decided to head here for a proper St Patrick's day visit. The place was crowded as anticipated but I was seated towards the window seat which gives you the street views. The patron next to me has the Corned beef and cabbage. They said it was splendid! I opted to try the Corned beef and cabbage sandwich served on amazing toasted bread. The dish came with fries , they were not over salted - loved them . A Jack Jones red ale beer hit the spot with this delicious sandwich. Dessert is a must here , and I highly suggest the Apple Cake. It is so spongy and sweet . Yummy overload ! The place is rather small inside, but managed well. Parking can be a slight challenge, but there's meter parking and street parking. I came here for brunch with two of my friends who live in Astoria. The place was packed. It's pretty small but had ample seating at the bar and high top tables. We managed to secure a table without a reservation. The waitress was great and we enjoyed our food. I ordered the seasonal kale bowl with scrambled egg at top. I liked it a lot. My friend had avocado toast. She enjoyed it and my other friend ordered a dish she enjoyed as well. We didn't try the mulled wine but I would go back and try it. Farmer's Burger absolutely delicious. So savory and scrumptious, it's a beef patty topped with cheddar and shredded short rib with coleslaw on a soft bun and served with a side of gravy. Just excellent all around. The Jalapeno Burger was also wonderful. Beef patty topped with cheese, flash fried jalapenos, cooked red onion and a honey mayo. It was a little spicy and a little sweet and oh so good We added fries and onion rings to the burgers. The fries were good, well cooked and tasty. So this place looked nice, I didn't check out the inside but they have outside patio dining which was nice cause it was still a warm day and the patio area is shaded which is even better. The staff was very generous and kind and the atmosphere was quiet but it was early in the day still. They had a $20 bottomless drink special that last for one hour which is pretty cool so I definitely put it to the test with 3 Bloody Mary's & 2 Mimosas. Those were phenomenal. I then had the chicken & waffles and the chicken tasted so good, like it was so fresh, juicy and tender and the waffle was fluffy, I loved this a lot. My son and I went in for lunch today (3/28/26) but were ignored to be seated. Another party came after us immediately got acknowledged for seating. After speaking up for 2, the waiter (dk the name but he's southeast Asian) put us in a crappy corner and told us not to take too much space seating. I came here with my husband on a Tuesday night after work and boy was it busy and bustling!! The service was really quick and surprisingly good considering there weren't that many servers and a ton of people. The inside is rather small and cozy but it got really loud inside after a while. The food was very delicious and because it was Tuesday they had an awesome happy hour menu with tons of food and drinks to choose from at a really good price. We got a burger with onion rings, truffle fries and the BCG flatbread. The burger was nothing special but decent with giant pickle slices. The onion rings were soooo good though perfectly crispy and flavorful. The truffle fries were good but the truffle flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked but the chili sauce it came with was delicious! My husband liked the more subtle truffle flavor because he doesn't like truffle. The flat bread was excellent! Lots of bacon and chicken on top with a delicious drizzle of sauce and some pickled red onion which really balanced the flavor profile. Highly recommend coming here! read more

I had a great dinner at Jack Jones Bar! When I first arrived I was pleasantly surprised that the list of mocktails was as long as the regular cocktail list! The mocktails are priced similarly to the cocktails but the prices weren't so high ($10-$12). Ordered: Easy rider non alcoholic cocktail- $11- this drink was super refreshing and not too sweet surprisingly! It had watermelon, agave, ginger, mint and lemon. I would definitely order this again! NY strip sandwich- $20- I enjoyed this sandwich! It has Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and truffle mayo. The steak wasn't sliced- each side of the sandwich had one big piece of steak, which wasn't ideal in my opinion but it was good. You should note that for this price, the sandwich comes on its own. Been to Jack Jones a few times. Only now getting around to a review. We went today for Father's Day Brunch at my husband's request. We had a noon reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was Carol and she was phenomenal. Sweet and personable. Kept our bottomless drinks flowing. We both got the Salty Dog (mine vodka, his gin). Delicious. I ordered the Hippie Omelette which was huge and stuffed with Butternut Squash, Kale and goat cheese. Served with spring green mixed salad and a citrus vinaigrette and toast. Delicious. Did not skimp on the fillings one bit. Highly recommend. Our daughter got the avocado toast (hold the bacon) and a side of fries and she couldn't have been more pleased. It came adorned with crumbled hard boiled eggs, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes on whole grain toast. She loved it. The man of honor got the Irish Breakfast, which is his favorite. Meat piled high. Irish sausage, bacon, white and black pudding, beans, stewed tomato, homefries, 2 Sunnyside up eggs and hearty toast. He ate every last crumb. The restaurant itself is somewhat small but they have plenty of outdoor seating. The service is also very prompt and friendly. I came here for happy hour and tried the BCG Flatbread and the sliders. The BCG Flatbread was delish! My bf tried the Wild Mushroom Flatbread and was delighted. The sliders were good but nothing crazy. They were your average sliders. We went across the street from the funeral home for an informal repasse between viewings. We ate outside in the new streetside seating on a warm 70-degree October evening. We started out with some cocktails: Morning Run (tequila) and Honey Monster (whiskey). The MR had a bit of heat and tang to it. The HM was a bit more balanced and a very delicious, unique flavor. Our group of 7 had the beet salad, harvest salad, harvest veggie flatbread, Ditmars burgers, and sides of truffle fries and onion rings. All were excellent. Onion rings were crispy and perfectly cooked. Kinda weird eating in the street in the Bronx next to a bunch of traffic and diesel trucks waiting at the red light.
