From the outside this place looks so out of place especially being in Woodhaven, Queens but once inside looks like any other pub. It way bigger inside and it was busy when I arrived. All the seats were taken so some of us had to sit on the side. Food was your typical bar food food such a burgers, pizza and fries. It was buffet style so we got the sample a little of everything which was good! We also got a drink of choice and I went with an Irish Ale being it's an Irish Bar. They also have happy hour and specials. Overall, had a great time, made friends and heard interesting stories! Thanks Sam for these amazing events!

Really nice vibes with 23 beers on tap

Caught both the World Cup & final Knicks game at Sean Og's & would def recommend for sports fans & just to anyone who likes good food, good drinks, & a great vibe! It was super busy that day & we still received quality service. Def a gem in Woodside.

Plenty on tap.

True definition of an Irish pub. Lots of locals having a good time, plenty of options on tap and service with a smile. The place is really big inside, tons of seating options: along the bar, high tops and even a huge space in the back. They serve traditional bar food from burgers to pizza all well made. If you are trying to be healthy they do have salads, ask for the Honey Dijon vinaigrette dressing. It's so good! If you live in Woodside this definitely should be come your local hangout.

Lots to say about this place ..... Was looking for a new place to go in Woodside since the place we have been going to for over 7 years disappointed us last time . So I found this place on yelp and from the moment I went in it was nothing but positive . I was greeted by Claire ( Bartender) with a good afternoon and a smile , I asked her for a menu which was provided promptly , the menu looked good I felt like there was a little bit of everything for every taste . So I decided to stay and give it a try , the atmosphere was great , they have an EXTENDEDDDDDDDDDD BAR haha very long one with plenty of selections and varieties of alcohol from bourbon to wine and beer . I had their salmon which was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned , my boyfriend had tacos since it was taco Tuesday and that was also good . Service was amazing , we were there for about 3 hours and not once we had to look or ask for another drink , Claire was extremely attentive and helpful . I love the fact they also have outdoor seating in a nice secluded side area . The only downer was the bathroom ,there was a little flood , but I did let them know and hope they addressed the issue . All in all the experience was great and it is conveniently located one block from the Woodside LIRR station . P.S: thank you Claire and best of luck with your career goals .

Open Face Steak Sandwich with skinny fries.

Went in on a Thursday around 4:30pm meeting family members. The bar was packed with minimal places to sit at first glance. I discovered after awhile there are tables in the back to sit down and enjoy a meal. It seemed as though there was only one bartender and one waiter. I'm guessing they had a challenging day with it being the Knicks parade in the city. Once we sat down we got taken care of better. The back had great air conditioning and a couple of TVs for the viewing of soccer games. This stop is great because the 7train is a block away along with the LIRR. I ordered the open face steak sandwich w/fries. It was good a lot of food. My cousin ordered the fish and chips and my other cousin ordered a hamburger. We had a couple of Corona and a glass of wine. I'm a big fan of this place. Four stars only cause we waited a while to get a drink, we ordered at the bar. They really did the best they could with what they were working with.

Mexican Pizza with chorizo and jalapeño... YUM

Who knew a pub could make such tasty pizza?! Sean Og's is one of the oldest Irish pubs in Woodside, Queens, serving classic pub fare along with other items like salads, brick oven pizzas and sandwiches that they put their own unique twist on. Everything is decently prized and you get very good portions! Plus, the space inside is beautiful! Perfect for an outing with friends or a casual drink We tried: *Mexican Pizza - chorizo, marinara, mozzarella, jalapeno *Jimmy's Rum Punch cocktail *Shepherd's Pie - Guinness simmered ground beef and seasonings topped with homemade mashed potatoes *Chicken Curry - chicken with vegetables in an aromatic Irish Madras curry sauce with rice and fries *Kentucky Mule cocktail **Shots of the pretty space! Check them out if you haven't already! So delicious!!

This is a neighborhood staple that added food to their menu a few years back. They have a good selection of beer and the food is pretty good! Their pizzas have a surprisingly flavorful crust and some good toppings! Their turkey burger was a frozen flat pattie which they get dinged for, but it was still flavorful and had a TON of fries.

Experience #1: New Years Eve 09'. Pretty fun time, dance party, free champagne at midnight.. until my favorite winter coat and cell phone were stolen! I reached for my coat which was on a nearby barstool to make some celebratory phone calls and my cell was in the pocket of my coat. Both disappeared - both now belong to a guilty stranger. I notified the bartenders and bouncers - they helped me look, people offered to buy me drinks.. One guy even offered me his coat - they were very sweet but I was sad, and in tears. You should not have to worry about stuff like that in Woodside if you ask me. I posted notices in the bar and at the subway stop - never heard anything.. sad sad sad. Experience #2: The other night my gal pal and I stopped in for a couple beers. We sat down at the bar, it was decently full but not crowded. Nice bartendress poured our brews, took a couple sips and then from out of nowhere CREEPERS attacked! Two dudes pulled up next to us and stared the creepy stare like you wouldn't believe! We would glare over at them, they'd look away fast and then a moment later right back at us - gross! We covered our glasses with coasters and stepped outside to confess how uncomfortable we both felt - these were the type of creeps that had probably already ruffied our drinks. So we left. Not worth the stress - just a couple girls trying to have a nice night out. Conclusion: I don't care that you have very cute Halloween decorations and one of the only dance floors in Woodside Sean Og's - you attract bad people, and there are better neighborhood bars that deserve my business.

There were TVs everywhere, so we had a great view of the match no matter where we looked. We were also able to comfortably sit at a table for the entire game, which made the experience even better. Our group ordered the NY steak sandwich, fish and chips, mac and cheese, nachos, fries, and plenty of beer and wine. Everything was delicious. This is definitely comfort food, and I have zero complaints. The steak sandwich was especially satisfying and so filling that I was ready for a nap afterward. The fish and chips were crispy, the nachos were loaded, and the mac and cheese was rich and cheesy. It was exactly the kind of meal you want while watching a big game. One thing that really stood out was the service. We had an infant with us, and everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Between the lively atmosphere, tasty food, great drink selection, and welcoming staff, this was an easy win. I'll definitely be back for more grub, drinks, and another game day.

Unfortunately, the hostess was extremely rude and impolite. She did not seem to care about accommodating us when we politely asked to sit closer to one of the TVs to watch the game. During our visit, we ordered nachos, wings, a steak sandwich, and a pulled pork sandwich. My son ate the pulled pork sandwich while we shared the other items. Around 2 AM that night, he woke up vomiting repeatedly after eating the sandwich. It was a terrible experience, especially for a restaurant that recently opened. I originally planned on returning to speak with management directly, but after the way the hostess treated us, I honestly did not feel that our concerns would be taken seriously. That is why I am sending this email two weeks later, because the situation still bothers me -- especially since it ruined my son's entire weekend. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and looks into both the customer service and food quality issues.

Neat, fun spot for some good food in Sunnyside!…read more For anyone like me who isn't great at reading restaurant/bar descriptors, this place isn't *just* a bar, nor is it *just* a restaurant - it's a bit of both. Cozy but not cramped, cute little spot that's great for Summer relaxed vibes and munchies. They're specialized in Latino food and drink. They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!
