I have been here a number of times, it's basically a local Sports Bar , with a nice menu, kids are welcome, I had a Shrimp Sandwich on a roll , it had large nicely seasoned shrimp, in a delicious sauce, with some field greens.. it was substantial and very tasty, with fresh cut fries, always delicious.. a soda this time but beer and cocktails are available.. sometimes it can get a little loud here , but the meal makes up for it, a solid recommendation.. ! read more

Finally found the most funnest dive bar in Metropolitan Avenue in Queens, New York City. My friend and I ventured out to Acey Ducey's on a late Friday evening for a relaxing evening out. I like how affordable and diverse the drink and food selection is presented. We ordered a few local IPAs and appetizers. It's my first time trying such delicious and flavorful chicken empanadas in an Irish bar. Well done chefs! But my favorite has to be their golden cheesy brown tots covered in a melty blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone. It was the best and first for me! Yay! This bar vibe is very chilled in the sense that you'll find the locals in the neighborhood hanging here. Everyone was just out to have a great time. Crazy I thought I was in the Midwest just hanging, I'm not used to being in bars like these in NYC with such a humble vibe. Their music selection was pretty diverse too; it was cheerful and welcoming. Acey Ducey is definitely that dive bar you can venture out to catch a game on the big screen with your friends and/or family. The bartenders were polite. Service is consistently great, and the food is very good - especially by dive bar standards. While I'd like to see more beer options, I'm very still content with the options on hand. I've visited more than a handful of times over the last decade, and will be visiting more than handful in the future. read more

We had a nice time and some good food at this nice pub. They certainly have some regulars which is always a good sign. The burger was delicious. Service was a bit brusque, but we got what we needed. Just your basic dive bar, but we had a good time here! We recently came to celebrate my friends birthday, and we were able to rent out the back section with most of the tables. There was table service in our section, which was very convenient so we didn't have to keep going up to the bar. We got hungry towards the end of the night, so we ordered nachos and fried pickles. They were surprisingly really good! I loved the sauce that came with the fried pickles. They also played good music, which can sometimes be hit or miss at these type of dive bars. If I lived in the area, I would come here for my more lowkey nights. read more

Exceeded all expectations. Acey Ducey's seems pretty unassuming from the exterior. Upon entering, it looks like your run-of-the-mill neighborhood bar. Don't underestimate them, though -- whoever's behind the scenes knows how to make some good drunk food. We shared a shrimp poboy and the nachos. Nothing to complain about on the poboy; the fries were delightfully crispy on the outside and starchy on the inside -- just how I like 'em. The nachos, though... wow. There are nachos, then there are NACHOS. These are the latter. They arrived on an enormous platter, I'm assuming for sharing. Flawlessly layered so every chip had a varying assortment of toppings. No sad chips at the bottom that ended up naked due to everything being haphazardly dumped in a mound on top. I can't even remember if we finished the plate between the lot of us, there was such an abundance of crunchy, creamy, cheesy goodness. Oh, and their draft beer selection's not shabby either. I wish I had something like an Acey Ducey's in my neighborhood. The Village isn't short on great eateries, but there's never been a joint that compels me to make it my local. The kind of chill place you can roll in wearing whatever the hell, with whoever the hell, it's going to be reliably decent, and won't cost you a kidney. OMG! Just bad bar food. I guess it's good if you're drunk. The ingredients are not worth your money, unless you're inebriated.

Good food and service. For a bar, they have an extensive menu of food choices besides liquors. And it's all prepared fresh & tasty. Prices are decent & reasonable for the Forest Hills area. They offer a special $.50 wings every Monday after 7pm which we always get. Paid metered street parking until 7pm then it's free. read more

All I can say what an amazing job timothy did!!! They recently host a birthday party I had planned for 30+ people. I choose a buffet style with there famous wings ( Buffalo & Thai chili) , sliders, pene al vodka, and Spanish rice with Ceasar salad. Everything was amazing and delicious. I have to give a huge shout to Emma and Donna who were bar tending and severing all the drinks. Also a huge shout out to Elmer thank you very much. They really were on top of there game getting every drinks order in and out asap . As I sit in front of my pint of lightly iced Black Cherry Cider by McKenzies Brewery which I really enjoy during the full calender year as opposed to a strictly summer beverage. Yes, even during the cold NY winter while watching the Super Bowl, I can drain pint after refreshing pint. While I re-read the menu from top to bottom, I realize that I already am mentally and gastricly committed to the Acey Ducey Burger having enjoyed this scrumptious menu item many times already. I ordered my delectably juicy American classic right at the beginning of the third quarter of the Super Bowl, perhaps not the best time as the bar was brimming with activity, yet my order came out with surprising quickness. The bun which is similar to a larger sized English Muffin really could not hold itself together for more than a few bites, which typically would be a negative as it relates to my review. However when the taste of the burger topped with bacon, cheese and an over easy egg hit my palate, I was less concerned with the buns temperance and structure and hyper focused on the flavor profile that I was enthusiastically experiencing. My table side manner is usually quite appropriate, but being in the presence of such a masterful piece of carnivore architecture, all mannerly bets are off. The bars name is derived from a game of cards in which the player bets between two cards on the table. Ace deuce is the optimum situation and bet the pot if you are ever in that situation. To my burger loving compatriots, stop in and give one a try. You have my iron clad assurance you will be 'Loving It' more than any burger on the avenue, including the one with the golden arches with the a fore mentioned annoying marketing slogan and priced within a dollar or two of that unclean, health problems induced, poor excuse for food. Built my own burger. Served too hot, so with a burned tongue the best i could say was that it tasted good (maybe better if i i had feeling in my mouth). When i first came to Acey Ducey's it was on a sunday during football season. Heard a lot of great things and came to try it out. Parking is a bit rough but once you are there it wont matter. When you first walk in the staff is very welcoming. When i come its usually during their busier times (weekends, football season). Staff works quick to get you drinks and get your orders in. Their wings are good, Their tots are great. The tap lines are fresh and everything is reasonably priced. Great environment the people who come there all seem to he nice people. Yeah they may get loud and rowdy but its a bar what do you expect. Have ordered delivery and food has been consistently good. Would definitely recommend this place to other locals! read more

Everything Ive eaten here has been amazing! The wings are some of the best that Ive found, and would recommend either the Bob Marley or Thai Chili wings. Their burgers are amazing as is the grilled vegetable sandwich. While tater tots are nice, I have to go with the sidewinder fries for a side. You can take me out of FH, but you cannot remove me from Queens. I still venture to Forest Hills' Austin Street or Metropolitan Avenue for the variable pubs and eateries. What attracted me to Acey Ducey's was their abundant appetizer menu, as admitted, I can engulf two orders of appetizers and be full without an entrée required. I ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu bites $9.00 and beef sliders (of hand pressed) with tots $10.00. The Cordon Bleu bites were my first experience in mini ball shape but it was flavorful. Three beef sliders were juicy (but not excessively juicy as expected) when placed in my hand pressing the natural juices amid it was not dry. The tater tots were flavorful as it is one of my many memorable childhood food from public elementary school lunch. I like their good selection of appetizers. No comment on their entrée. Standard house wine of choice were only red or white -- no Rosé. I opt for one glass of Pinot Grigio $7.00 which was average. The bill does not contain the business name or address, but it does state "suggested tips 15%, 18% and 20%" at one's choice. Service is average amid prompt and attentive, but nothing beyond the ordinary. My server who is also the bar tender, Donna D. was prompt but appeared dispirited. TV screens are ample for a sports pub that I watched the gold medal match men's basketball of U.S. defeating Serbia in Rio 2016. There is a dart board by the bar. There are absolutely no hooks for bags under the bar counter but lots of electrical outlets for patrons to charge all various tech gadgets known in creation. Facility is clean with all the basic amenities in stock. No business cards or takeout menu exist. This Irish pub is a fairly distant walk from either the E, F train- 71st Street Continental Avenue station or Q11 bus, Q21 bus from Woodhaven Boulevard intersecting Metropolitan Avenue. I broke a sweat from the humid summer plaguing heat walking from the Q21 bus to get here! read more

Sorry to say food has gone downhill. Nachos still need guacamole and the cheese is only on top. After the first few chips...bland. Shepherds pie is tasteless and room temperature. As if it was previously made and then heated up. Cocktails are still very good. But the clientele is beyond reality. Two drunks sat down with the 4 of us as if we knew them. Wouldn't leave. The first time I came to Acey Ducey's I didn't think it was anything special, the food was typical bar fare and the beers were cold. At that point I had written off Acey Ducey's as a typical neighborhood dive bar that wasn't anything special. It is however a hotspot for a few of my friends to meet. On my first visit I ordered the sinful tots, a packed layer of tots that are covered with some cheese and gravy on the side; and my friend ordered the sliders. Both were typical but it was on my second visit that I discovered the Ace of Steak Sandwich. Coming straight out of work I was starving and craving a regular burger. I decided to splurge a bit and get the Ace of Steak, a marinated skirt steak sandwich. Being an avid cook myself I wanted to see how Acey Ducey manages such an underrated cut. The Acey Ducey Ace of Steaks is one of the best steak sandwiches that I've had in a while. The marinade was slightly sweet and makes the steak rather juicy and flavorful. The buns were perfectly equipped to handle a soft protein like skirt steak, giving each bite a nice textural contrast. There are somethings that I would change, I didn't like dipping the sandwich into the aioli, It should be prespread onto the bread too. Also the caramelized onions are a nice touch but with the marinade on the steak, it could be easily be too sweet. Overall Acey Ducey's is definitely a good place to sit down for some beer and some food. Next time I'll be trying those sweet potato tots. read more

This is quite the strange situation I find myself in. I came in for a drink, I had stumbled in here 6 years ago under the old management and had quickly stumbled out again, yet this time, something was different. As I sat at the bar minding my own business, my glance happened to fall on the menu! Oh alas! The menu looked really good and the description of the individual options were descriptive and inventive! Oh dear, yes stomach, I shall feed you!! The place is a typical bar, not to bright, not to dark, plenty of tvs showing the sports of the day, the bartender is indeed a cute girl with lots of charisma and energy, certainly felt welcome.
