Great neighborhood bar with great wing specials. A decent amount of flavors to choose from as well. We have been here several times just for drinks and some good bar food . I was in the mood for a nice burger and wings. Wanted to try a new place in the neighborhood so decided on this place. The reviews weren't wrong. The burger was huge and perfectly cooked. The wings were good. One thing that did come as a surprise, is that the burger came on an english muffin. For myself, it was a better healthy option, but for some it might be a turn off. Either way I thought, I should mention it, so there are no suprises. Now to be honest, I rounded up, I really wish YELP would allow half stars. As mentioned above, the burger was perfectly cooked, but NO SEASONING... It really bothers me, when someone can cook so well, and not season their food. The burger was blend, the meat, had no taste. This was truly disappointing. The wings, although good, were also not seasoned properly. I specifically asked for medium, and instead just got wings, dipped in red sause...LOL Overall, I will be back, since we did like the food, but this place could so be a 5 star, if only they used seasoning on their food. read more

I am sure this place is awesome as a bar vibe for drinks/ ambiance i would give it 5 stars. However, if you are looking to eat here, i would advise against it. The presentation of this food was very misleading. The nachos arrived cold and chips were stale. Wings were rubbery and almost inedible. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately even though it was a Saturday night. The bar was very calm, mostly filled with older folks. There was a Mets game on and almost everyone was glued to the TV. There's seating at the bar, tables along the wall and the entire back end of the bar. Great for groups! Lots of seating and space. The music selection is very wide and entertaining. I believe this is a sister bar to Tap House in Forest Hills. The menu and draft options are almost identical. One thing I did love about this place was the attentiveness of the staff. Very friendly and interactive! The bar is also super clean. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxed vibe/ a place to sit and chit chat. The drinks are also very fairly priced. There's also 2 machines in the back where you can play some sort of game. The front area has a dart board. It's great to have a bar with some sort of activity to enjoy! 2 margaritas (very strong), a red bull and 1 purple haze (draft beer) was about $26. read more

Just ordered from them on Seamless. I waited over an hour for my food and I decided to call them to make sure they were even coming. The lady ended up telling me there was a mix up in the kitchen and they never made the order. And she asked me if I still wanted the order. I would think that you would offer me a little discount or something for the inconvenience, but the only thing she told me was that she could not refund me anything and that I have to deal with seamless to get my refund. Great local bar that I'm happy to have in Forest Hills. The wife and I bring our little one here on Sundays for lunch/brunch and they're always so accommodating to the little guy. The food itself is, in my opinion, far above what you might be expecting. Their steak sandwich is always cooked perfectly to order and comes on this delicious roll that I would be able to identify if I had any culinary chops whatsoever. We're also a fan of the Big Mac Bites when we're feeling particularly fat. I love this place and find myself hoping every time I pass by that I won't see that it's being knocked down to put up more condos or a Whole Foods. Don't ever let that happen please. read more

I ate the nachos with beef and although the beef tasted a bit like leftovers, I did somewhat enjoy. A lot of places don't layer their nachos but Acey did. I was happy to discover more cheese and beef in the "belly" of the plate. I also had the steak & cheese sandwich--not sure if that's the name as I didn't order it...but it was delicious!!! Came here for a relaxed dinner and a beer with a friend who lives in the neighborhood. I remember coming here when the place was (I believe) Blackwater Inn and wasn't wowed. What a difference! The bar had a decent number of taps with some craft selections so that thrilled me right away. There were quite a few patrons - many sat at the bar - so it was pretty loud inside but that only added to giving it a fun atmosphere. Our server was great and she was spot on with recommending the Veggie Grilled Cheese for me: Balsamic marinated portobello, grilled onions, goat cheese, and roasted red peppers on ciabatta..soooo good!! And the tater tots!! I had sweet potato tots and tried my friend's plain ones and both were crispy and amazing. They came in the cutest fry baskets with handles. I came for a late lunch here yesterday with a friend. He did tout the burger as top notch and, well, it was, kinda. We sat at the bar and the daytime bartender, maybe Jimmy, had a packed house drinking and watching the NCAA Tournament. Both him and I were famished having just completed a round of golf in some brutally windy conditions, and a nice hot meal sounded perfect. Personally, I usually do not eat at the bar itself( prefer a table), but this is a new place so I went with the flow. We split apps of Hot Wings and Big Mac Bites. The Bites, in particular, we're tasty and had a good crunchy texture served with a small container of special sauce. Wings were good, but I am not a huge wings guy. We wanted to put our order in for the burgers right away, but, again, the bar was crowded and we ended up just giving it to a busboy to put in. Both wanted bacon on it, but it was left off. In addition, it was a little rarer than usual, but I ate mine. It came with Tater Tots which were fantastic. Crunchy, golden brown and served in a mini fryer you would see in a chef's kitchen. Very nice touch. Overall, a good meal that I know will be a five star one next time. When we were finishing, a stunning waitress was just coming on duty and, for sure, I will be sitting in her section next time! Ps-for all you older Forest Hills residents, this used to be Metro 71 back in the day. Many, many a good time there, and the bar itself still looks the same. This is our new favorite place. It's like Cheers, but you can bring your kids! The bar is nice and the back room is small, but the food is delicious! We usually come in large groups of 4-10 and we call in advance so they reserve our tables. Did I mention that the food is fabulous? The shrimp parm sliders are unreal. Timmy, the owner is very friendly and just makes you feel warm and fuzzy all the time - or was it the wine they serve me in those beautiful, tall glasses. We ordered delivery. It was pretty fast and the delivery guy was friendly. So here is what we ordered: Cordon Bleu Bites: actually not bad, like the ones you can buy frozen at Costco. The white sauce was terrible, it must have either been rotten or something else happened, smelled like sour milk and old eggs. Weiner Schnitzel: The veal was definitely over-cooked, very hard to chew and not fluffy tender and crispy at all. The batter was very unauthentic. They use seasoned breadcrumbs which were all lumpy. I assume they reuse the eggwash and do not coat the meat with flour prior. They Mashpotato side was ok. A little too salty. Side Salad very bland and the dressing awful. But the worst was the packaging. it was all layered, first the schnitzel, then the salad, and the mash on top. Moisture and Heat are rising - a really messy mush. Greek Salad with Beef: The worst salad I have ever eaten in my life. The beef turned out to be taco? seasoned ground beef, everything was mixed together and was half drowned in store-bought cheap dressing all dishes were packed together and due to heat and moisture, the lower part of the salad was already disintegrating into a mush... this place seems to be nice for drinks and casual bites when you go there. But take out and delivery is awful and I would not recommend to anyone. My Chinese delivery man around the corner is better at packaging and separating warm and cold, saucy and dry... sorry to break it but this was really not good... read more

Hands down some of the best tasting bar food I have had. The quality of the food and the cost is spot on. I had the veal sandwich with portobello mushrooms & spinach. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The dipping sauce that came with it was bangin. My girl also loved her veggie grilled cheese sandwich and of course the sweet potato tots that came with it. Great presentation on both plates as well. We also had a chance to try their buffalo chicken pizza which had the perfect amount of hotness and the scallions added on top were a great touch. The blue cheese mixed in with the buffalo sauce is genius. Acey Ducey's really did a great job of putting a little twist on your traditional pub food. I will be back soon to try the other menu items. This place is a perfect addition to the neighborhood. The food menu offers many exciting options that are a spin on the usual bar fare. The beers on tap are yummy, especially the black cherry cider! Food faves: firecracker shrimp, veggie grilled cheese and I haven't had a burger yet, but I sure do plan to go back and try one. Very friendly local pub with a great drink selection and outstanding menu. The bartenders and staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I've never had anything other than an outstanding meal in Ducey's, this week I really enjoyed the Chicken Teriyaki wrap, which included bacon, jalapeño pepper and sweet potato tots. The real surprise is the tremendous variety of menu offerings, ranging from good old fashion steak and potatoes to delicious vegan burgers. Came in to get a burger, food is usually good from what I remembered. But the past three times I've come here the mood has been so weird I've done an about-face every time. I am a Queens native and never in my life have I felt so unwelcome in a bar. The attitude from literally every server has been atrocious and the locals who, literally, "haunt" this place all are nasty and bitter middle-class Trumpy white nationalists that still use the word "faggot" and "blackie" like it's the set of Mad Men. Three strikes and you are out, and it is rare for me to write a bad review. Not going back, despite how close it is because over the years it has grown bizarrely "clicky" Good food, cold beer, and a room filled with bitter old-school Queens attitudes. Seems like they have a strong local following, I may have been the only one in there that wasn't on a first name basis with everyone else. It's decent bar but the food I had wasn't great and kind of disappointing. The wings tasted as if they had turned but instead of tossing them they left them in the fryer a little longer then normal. Never been inside, but as far as delivery goes: their food is incredible! We got the Ducey wings, Sinful tots, and their A Cut Above the Chop (porkchop over spanish rice, chimichurri sauce, and plantains). All were fresh, hot and great presentation! It's a small bar, tucked away from Austin St. It seems like locals all hang out here. They have TVs everywhere, making it a great place to catch a game (we were there for the mets game). On Thursday, it's wing night = $0.40 wings! The garlic Parmasean wasn't as good as we had hoped, but the chicken was cooked really nicely. Crispy outside and juicy on the inside. I did not read the menu carefully, and did not expect bacon in them, which made them heavy for an early fall afternoon. The bread was sliced and bland. The bartender waiter was somewhat aloof.
