I liked this place. I was a relatively new customer and I came in one day to drink and was banned with no explanation. No first strike. No reason given. Just banned. That really messed me up. This is a nice neighborhood bar. Four mounted television sets, pool table, stools at the bar and tables. Four taps and a well stocked bar. In house pizza and pretzels are available. Bartender working tonight is excellent, friendly, and will engage in good conversation. Definitely worth a stop by if you are in the area. read more

A few things to consider here include the happiness that ensues between Tuesday and Thursday. When Richie works, forget it. You truly feel at home! Free Pool on Mondays is a plus. They host several events frequently and the owner is very generous and brings in Free food. Hoagies, wings, macaroni salads and so forth. Every three drinks, you get a buy-back. The crowd is lax, ranging from 30's to 60's. Everyone seems happy. They offer Touch Tunes services as well. Overall, I can safely call this bar a home minus some people who just only seem to like their own crowd. Editing the review again: Here on a delicious Wednesday. The bartender Richie has exemplified customer service. He is charismatic, forgiving and dives into conversation with you. I had him make me an Aperol Spritz and it was exactly as I remembered it from my 21st birthday. Then I had him concoct me two Bloody Mary's and he made them from scratch. If you're a savory drink lover, PLEASE give this man a try! They were AMAZING! Tuesdays and Wednesday's is when he works. Remember these days after 7PM and you're in good hands. So where to start...I continue to call this place Fiddler's Green because that is the name I grew up with. Surprisingly, I never stepped foot in here until recently and I was born and raised here! I was staying with my parents for a couple months to assist my mom after surgery. My husband came up a month after me and we decided to visit this bar. We first went on Tuesday around 9pm I believe and it was dead. I was okay with that since we have never been here and did not know what to expect. There were like 2 other people there so we had a vast choice of seating to choose from. We decided to sit at the bar towards the front. We were greeted immediately and ordered beers. I love me some Guinness so I had to have that. The bartender even poured it correctly! As we sat there, people came in gradually while we were there. We even were invited to play pool with other patrons. God I miss NY! We went a couple other times during our visit to my parents. Once was on a Friday or Saturday night and it was super busy so we sat at a table along the wall. There was also a DJ blaring music. The last time we visited it was medium busy. The bartenders do their job. The place is clean. There were not any obnoxious people. I will visit again when I head back to my parents' home. read more

I have a soft spot for townie bars in the boroughs. I was taking a walk through the neighborhood, 'membering nonsense, when I decided to stop in late on a Saturday. Karaoke was going strong and loud (or Frankie-okie, as the karaoke master's book of songs called it). There was some serious drunk talent in there, people gave it there all. I saw some seriously soulful, no holds barred performances. Bartenders were sweet, bathrooms decent, no credit minimum, Stella on tap. This place was nice surprise. Me and 3 of my friends went in to have a beer. However we ended up having a full meal. Server was in good spirit and the place was nice neigborhood pub you can chill at. Also the food was a nice surprise too. We had wings, loaded nacho, burger and onion rings. Everything was perfect and resonably priced. Pool and the dart was nice touch too. Chef Joshua always does an amazing job. I ordered the wings with hot sauce and fries. Joshua makes the hot sauce himself and the fries are freshly cut. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The bartender gives out dessert coconut melonball shots that are so good. read more

This past sat a few of my friends and I had our birthday parties at the bar . We had brought in many people and packed the bar . The ac was broken . Everyone complained and sweated . We had some friends that came in less then 5 mins and left . It was upsetting that our friends could not stay bc it was brutal hot in the bar . Many of us complained to the owner or manager Christina ! We had the bouncer tell us it is in low and it is broken . One of bartenders tell us the owner Christina won't let us put it on . The owner as Christina says she is the manager says it is on 65 . It's a heatwave . We all said no it's not why is very sweating and being told you won't put it on higher or that it is broken . One friends said then what is your excuse for May ? There was no heatwave and and Ac didn't work then either . When everyone wants to enjoy there birthdays it was brutal . It was asked to bring out the cakes . Not everyone was in the mood to have bc they were so hot . There was a whole cake and a half a cake that got waisted bc A few of us had asked for the cake boxes to put the cake back in the boxes for the people that brought the cake or wanted to take it home . As no one was giving a cake box or didn't know where they were . The manager / owner Christina did not give the boxes back ! My friend Tazz was very upset it was her welcome back party , and she didn't get any cake and wanted . Everyone left the bar and walked out sweating and went to another bar to celebrate which during the heatwave had AC ! It is a health hazard !! We had someone who had an asthma attack because they couldn't breathe in this bar as well that had to leave ! Another friend ended up in the ER because of the hazard of having a broken ac . A day later Christina comments a Facebook post with profane , telling us to tell her to her face you know where I am that we are hiding behind Facebook ! As we all told her in the bar by many people that were unhappy ! As well as a pic she had posted of a fat girl eating cake . It is rude of a manager / owner to do that to her customers if she wants business ! Some of my friends knew her prior and aren't happy about what happen . I personality never knew her before sat . I really wish we could of all had a great night and none of this would of happen! Now I do want to say I do thank the karaoke host which understood and I do thank Laura the bartender ! If a dive bar, was to meet a dive bar, at a dive bar - it would be this dive bar. Small place with a couple pool tables and decent food. The wings are good, the subs are enormous and from what I heard the burgers are good as well. This is a friendly bar filled with locals, your visit you will most likely be the only one who doesn't know everyone else at the bar. We went in there on a Friday night for some drinks in a chill atmosphere....but it wasn't at all. We couldn't even hold a conversation over the loud rap music blasting and other adults screaming the lyrics abnoxiosly. I felt embarrassed for them.
