We went to Brewski's by chance and I was seriously surprised by how good the food was! We started with the Parmesan zucchini chips which came with marinara sauce. So good, what a nice combo. The marinara sauce was warm and fresh tasting as well. I got the mahi mahi tacos, which were HUGE! Come hungry for sure because I could barely finish them. The avocado cream and slaw were the perfect pairing with the tacos. My friend got the fish and chips and subbed for sweet potato fries. Her portion was huge too. We got seltzers to drink. Brewski's has made themselves a staple in the neighborhood over the 12-13 years. In my younger years, it was a place I would go to for some good music and debauchery. Now when I visit, it's more for the consistent delicious snacks. I usually go and sit at the bar but the table side service is also excellent. They have a well-seasoned front of the house staff. They are quick, efficient and friendly. The wings are smoked and fried. They are tender and tasty. I prefer smaller wings and sometimes they can be on the bigger side but since they are smoked it remains tender. The steaks are cooked to temperature and topped off with a nice butter compound. Im prone to trying new things but mainly stick to things I have ordered and enjoyed in the past. The burger menu is extensive and the combos they offer seem to be crowd favorites. I really enjoy the short rib, fig, fontina sandwich-- great balance of flavors and always consistent. If I were just reviewing the breakfast I would give them five stars. Its excellent. I love the short rib egg and cheese with scallions. I personally enjoy eating with actual silverware and real plates but they have a very lax vibe with what they use to put their food in. It's usually plastic plates and foil containers or fried food basket lined with parchment paper. I understand putting wings, fries, or onion rings in that type of container but if I order a steak or a bigger meal I want a plate and a real steak knife to enjoy my food. Over the years I feel like the bar hasn't delivered the best drafts -- sometimes they are warm or not functioning. The craft drafts that they circulate aren't always kept to the right temp and that can be annoying to complain about after you waited a while for it to get poured. We were there about 12pm. I asked for the Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Waitress said they are not available. It's 12pm. So I ordered 2 other appetizers. I ordered my entree...steak & mashed potatoes. My husband ordered steak & asked for fries. Woman taking the order said do you want regular or waffle fries. He said waffle fries. A lil while late she came back and said they didn't have any waffle fries so my husband asked for mashed potatoes. Woman comes back and says they do not have any mashed potatoes! My husband then asked for rice and I told her I didn't want anything else but the steak. I was annoyed at this point. How do you not have anything at 12pm. Also felt very rushed. It's been a while since I've made a visit to Brewskis, and I was really wanting some wings. I ordered bone in wings and my husband had the sweet chili boneless wings. The bone is were not what I remembered but they weren't terrible. The boneless were my favorite and I'd definitely return for those. Service was friendly and excellent. Having grown up not too far from Throgg's Neck, I'm somewhat familiar with the restaurant scene on the E Tremont Ave strip. Brewski's is one of the many spots in the area, but one I had never been to prior to the other day. I had heard that they serve good food, and since my brothers and I were looking for dinner one of them suggested we go here - so off we went. Brewski's sits in a prime location on E Tremont Ave - walking in, you're immediately greeted by a large bar area with some seating to the left; additionally, they have an outdoor beer garden in the back. The bar is definitely the star of this place - it's the main focal point and the majority of the people there were sitting around it. The seating area has a decent amount of tables and a mini stage (they regularly book musicians). There's nothing too outstanding about the decor, it's typical bar with medium wood tones and TV screens throughout the space. I will say the interior can use a little freshening up - it's a little tired. They also really minimized the cleanup here - all plates, cups, and cutlery were plastic, and the menu was via QR code. I normally don't mind QR code menus, but the website was kinda choppy and I was struggling to browse (am I getting old?). On the surface, the menu is pretty standard bar food, however when I dove a bit deeper I found that they really had a great selection - like, standard sections (wraps, burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc.) but a great selection in each section. We decided to start with the buffalo chicken nachos; these were pretty good - they had a good helping of chicken and utilized cheese sauce in lieu of melted cheese which helped us divvy it up without any congealment. For my main I went with the Brewski Wrap which contained grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, and fried onions with honey dijon mustard. The wrap itself was pretty good - it had a lot of chicken, but I was struggling to find the honey dijon mustard; the wrap was good but nothing outstanding. It came with fries which were a little wilted - I was hoping for something more crispy. Service was good - everyone we interacted with was really friendly. Overall, I thought Brewski's was pretty good - it's a super casual spot where you can get good bar food. This isn't my favorite way to dine so I'm not sure when I'll be back, but if circumstances found me here I wouldn't be disappointed. read more

This past Thursday I was finishing up my burger and a beer sitting behind a gentleman that was listening to something on his phone. From nowhere the bartender came up to him and told him his phone was too load and could hear it for outside the front door. He proceeded to take his bucket of beers, rudely told him it was 5 dollars for the beer, cancelled his food order, then walked away and flip the gentleman the bird! Outside I spoke with the gentleman who was 63 with a hearing deficiency. I could barely hear his phone and was sitting directly behind him. I will never go or refer Brewskies to anyone I know. Brewskis is hands down my favorite bar and grill. Been a customer for years and my kids approve. Not only is the food great but so are their drinks. There's always something new to experience on tap and their craft beer selection is always up to date with what's new and popular. Their beer garden is so beautiful and perfect for family gatherings or just hanging with friends or colleagues. Love that they bring live bands to play from time to time. The prices are reasonable considering how awesome the food is. The bartenders are awesome my favorite is Max hands down. After powerful 1-hour exercise treks at the park, the only thing two of my coworkers and I have been doing is celebrate our accomplishments on Thursdays. The mood here is subdued especially by the time we get here at 4ish. I can definitely see this East Tremont spot getting down come evening. Parking on the main Ave is really difficult- just park on residential side streets for a better deal. Think of Brewski's as the place where if you'd lived closer like 'right around the corner', you'd be here every day. I know I would to grab Breakfast, Lunch AND Dinner! And if you're coming here to chill with a pint and watch a game on any of their TVs, enjoy that too because Brewski's is a sport-watchers paradise. Don't expect ordinary sports bar foods like Buffalo wings or nachos or just a plain cheese quesadillas as they mostly avoid clichés. Do expect though, Beer-Battered cheese curds drizzled in honey with fennel fronds (eyeing these) and a whole array of uncommon and tasty bites here. I don't drink beer, but these folks look like they can do a serious pour of it. My coworkers and I have done their boozy slushies one time and another time, they've done the pitcher of beer and I've had their mini bottle rosé poured table-side. This was my first time here. The service was good. Max and Lauren was great and it was Lauren's first day and she has impeccable customer service skills. The food was good too. It was Taco Tuesday.. I liked the beef over the chicken. We ordered the chicken wrap that had the Irish cheddar cheese. I found the cheese to be a lil over powering but the wrap itself was delicious. My friend had the mac n cheese with the shredded bbq pork.. OMG that was amaze balls. The appetizer that consists of a tostones sandwich with pernil in it was sooooo good. I've been coming to brewskies since 2015 (when I came home from college) and I haven't stopped since. Before Covid, brewskies was THE spot to pregame with my group of friends. Aside from their affordable drinks, they also had live DJ. Their food is also yummy and they have/had (not sure now) Wing Wednesday and burger specials. You won't be disappointed coming here for just the environment. There are a lot of TVs everywhere, definitely a good sports bar / gastropub for a small group. Although I can't speak for the drinks, the food was hit or miss for me. The sandwich I ordered was really hard to eat since it was tough and chewy like it was stale. Despite that, the fries that came with my order were excellent! The staff was the absolute highlight of this place, everyone was friendly and occasionally asked if we were fine and needed anything. Just for the service alone I am definitely coming back to check out their other menu items, they have a huge selection that contains both American and Mexican dishes as well as a lot of hand crafted cocktails. read more

Brewskis in the Throggs neck section of the Bronx is and always will be the best bar/ restaurant in the area. it is family owned and it has always been clean and the food amazing. The servers and bartenders are great and accommodating.Lately I have noticed things seem to be changing when I go there.For instance there weren't any tater tots or regular fries only sweet potato fries when ordering a burger this has never happened in the past.Another issue I went to wing night the last few Wednesdays And the blue cheese was not good it tasted like sour mayo and when I wanted a peanut butter whiskey they did not have that as well.I also noticed the bar Itself does not seem as stacked with bottles like it once was.I'am a regular long time customer and I'am getting a sense that " something" is not right I sincerely hope the family is not considering selling this beautiful place In the neighborhood.(PLEASE TELL US YOUR NOT) One more thing worth mentioning is when I look on their website it has not been updated since April That's so unlike them.When I look to see what band is playing now I have to call them since it's not noted anywhere. once again I will reiterate this is the best place along the East Tremont corridor please Brewskis and I as well as so many want Brewskis to stay in the community for a long long time but the consensus among your customers is something does not seem right there please prove us wrong. read more

What appeared to be some sort of bar has really amazing food I've tried the wings the quesadillas I've tried the chicken burgers I've tried the fries and Mac and cheese (very rich). I haven't been disappointed by anything. For what it's worth the food is very fresh very well seasoned and prepare properly I'm confident in saying that no matter what you order from here it will not be a bad meal even for delivery everything was packaged so perfectly that everything arrived safe. It seems as if this restaurant takes a lot of pride in the preparation of the food as well as the way that everything is packed even for delivery. Brewski's was my go-to spot during the pandemic. The "quaranfreezies" to order to go were legit the best and I totally miss them. I've been to Brewskis well over 5 times now so this is a collection of experiences as a local. Daytime: The food is pretty decent (my go-to is the Baja Chicken Tacos or Angry Tots), but the drinks are pretty elite. I also went to the back and ate outside cause I love how they decorated it. They also have a big projector and in my expectation they've shown the Yankee game. Nighttime: While this spot is not my "party vibe" for nighttime shenanigans as a 20-something, it is a great pregame spot. They do have an open dance floor, but it was a lot of an old school a new school mix. The crowd was mostly folks my parents age. In General: It's a sports bar, and probably my favorite one in the BX. I was told by a friend to try this place. She said it was great food and I truly agree with her. We ordered takeout last night for the first time and we truly enjoyed the meal. We got fried zucchini to start. Perfectly fried and their red sauce had great taste! Then I had Buffalo chick wrap. I was a little nervous cause some places make the wraps soggy. Perfectly crispy wrap and the Buffalo sauce is addicting. We also orders steak tid bit sandwich. Bread was toasted nicely and meat was delicious. Last was chicken fingers and French fries. My daughter loved the chicken and the fries weren't soggy fried very nice! Over all everything was super fresh and perfectly cooked for a delivery. Been coming to Brewski's for a few years now, just never took the time to review. It's your typical sports bar, definitely a nicer and cleaner vibe since they renovated. Always have alright food, service is usually pretty slow (but the waitresses are always friendly) but you can watch the games with some cold drink and decent burgers. The food is your average pub food, nothing to rave about. -Boneless Wings: 4/5, I honestly love these they're not your average deep fried boneless wings you'd get elsewhere, yes these are still fried but they seem much lighter than others. They're more "tidbits" than wings but they're very good. Unfortunately for $13 the price has gone up and the portion has shrunk drastically. -Fried pickles: 4/5, delicious & horrible for you at the same time. I suppose anything deep fried is good though. -Calypso Sandwich: 3/5, this is usually a hit or miss (like most of the other sandwiches) I've had it when it's good, and I've had it when it sucks. Depends on the day of the week I guess, but you can't go wrong with fried chicken and bacon. -Blue Burger:3.5/5, the blue cheese is very good, the mushrooms made me a bit nauseous, way too many but not a big deal to wipe some off. The burger itself was super greasy and pretty much left no bottom bun intact because it was so soaked. -Rise & Shine Burger: 4/5, this surprised me. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. The egg was cooked perfect so it wasn't running all over the plate, the everything bun was delicious and paired great. The burger itself was very greasy but what do you expect. I would definitely get this again. Overall brewski's is a good local spot to catch a game and relax. I wouldn't come here expecting anything super healthy but if you want decent pub food this is a good option. Monday nights are Burger night (half off burgers) which is a great deal as well. As mentioned above, I've never had a quick meal here. While the waitresses are all friendly the service is very slow. We had terrible difficulties ordering online (between their to go website or grub hub), so we ended up ordering over the phone for pick-up. We had a pretty large order so I'm glad they were patient with us! Overall the food served was in large portions and delicious. My favorite were the quaran-freezies: decent amount of alcohol for the price of a standard cocktail (but more fun!). Even through a 10 min commute back home, the calamari was super crispy, the fries not so much which was a bummer, but overall, pretty good! Very disappointing that a bar like Brewskis doesn't allow for TV's to have some volume during grand sports events. Not even around the bar or nothing. All you do is watch the sports but can't hear them. When went to bartender to ask him to turn up the volume a bit he flat out said no. Poor Costumer service. read more

I asked someone where you get a good burger around here and they told me to go to Brewskis It was a generous burger with bacon, delicious onions, cheese on a wonderful bun that held its shape all the way to the end. Soft and tasty . The flavor of the burger was perfect. The caramelized onions were just delicious. And they make their own fries, which are unbelievable . A nice slice of tomato and some lettuce. I avoided this place for year because I was under the impression that it's just another bar. I was SO WRONG and sooooo happy to be! The food is hands down one of my favorites. Their menu is quite diverse and I have yet to try something I do not like. I have told so many people I know and the ones that knew of it, have gladly made fun of my silly thoughts while others are very happy new customers. The sandwiches are amazing!!!! There is some kind of cheesy/spicy crust (on the chicken ones) that's not overpowering but gives it a fantastic flavor. The artichoke dip has a layer of melted cheese on top that's my favorite.
