Today was taco Tuesday cinco de mayo and it was beyond busy the wait was 1 hour we got seated a hour and ten in , i would say the service tonight with short staff was nothing less then amazing , the manager the security staff hospitality "the staff" when i say in the Bx I'm way to impress. I had a problem with my food and it was resolved with class and a timely fashion. The music was great , everyone was so busy but attentive i can't wait to go back . Happy hour was all day so i had a smile it's definitely a staple and a must 10 all around .

We went for a galentines dinner. It was very busy for a Saturday night but the service was great. The had good music playing in the background perfect for a girls or date night. For drinks we ordered lemon drop martini's and for rolls we ordered el Fuente. The plantain was sweet and the steak was medium well. Aftee dinner we had more cocktails and we werent rushed to leave. I'm looking forward to coming back again

This is a Latin Asian fusion restaurant. I really loved the decor. It's very clean and modern. The service was a 10 out of 10. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The manager Berto treated us very well. Now let's talk about the food. I tried an assortment of dishes. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. However, there were some dishes there were some dishes that stood out from the rest. The first thing I tried was the mama sushi salad. It a good flavorful salad made withKale, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes and onions with Soy Yuzu Wasabi. As for the appetizers I had fried calamari which I would give an 8 out of 10. I also had fried dumplings, shrimp fried dumplings and chicken fried dumplings. They were both good, but I prefer the shrimp fried dumplings. They offer a variety of different flavors of sushi and I had the pleasure of trying some of them. I had some of the traditional ones and some of the house varieties.(Asian Fusion). I prefer the traditional varieties and I must say all of the varieties were nice and fresh. For Entrees, I was got to try the Chicken Teriyaki, the Skirt Steak, and the Seared Salmon. My least favorite was the salmon, the cut was nice and thick and the seasoning was great. I just wish it was marinated throughout the fish. The Chicken and the Skirt steak were 9 out of 10. They all paired perfectly with the Saba Noodles and the Vegetable Fried Rice. For dessert I had the tres leche definitely top tier in taste. Their tres leche is honestly one of the best I've ever had. My drink of choice was the Mamasushi Mojito. It was ok. The lime juice overpowered the taste. This restaurant is definitely add on my favorites list and I would recommend it to anyone. The food overall was good nice portion size, a variety of different foods. So there is always something new to try. The service 10 out of 10. Absolutely A . The restaurant is very clean and so are the rest rooms.

This unique sushi fusion spot was a new experience for me! Our service was wonderful and quick. We were immediately seated and enjoyed a huge sushi boat of 6 different rolls and some cocktails. The rolls were interesting, but as a sushi lover I was hoping for more fish options. What we did have left us satisfied though and the atmosphere is super fun!

Service is good ..music is loud and the food just always falls flat here. Sushi isn't very good and the other plates I've tried are just okay .. wouldn't be my go to for anything tbh but if you're looking for a local happy hour it's an option. Happy hour all day on Tuesday's.

Mamasushi is establishment with many hats. There is a fusion sushi aspect, a latin-asian restaurant, a nice happy hour, and a loud music-hookah smoking party scene. I personally am a fan of the happy hour and the restaurant entrees. The sushi to me is horrible. I have tried about 8 premium rolls and I really cant remember liking any of them. I think the biggest issue lies within the cookery and seasoning of the rice. While I have strong opinions on the sushi, I have found other things to enjoy and allow me to continue to visit them. My favorite entrees are the steaks. I really enjoyed the hanger steak entree. I have also enjoyed the seared salmon. As far as appetizers, I have had the popcorn shrimp, the ribs, the bao buns, and wings. I am picky with wings so I wasnt a fan but the flavor was good. My favorite things are the popcorn shrimp, the pork belly bao buns, and the steak entrees with mushrooms as a side. Overall all of the sauce are deep and flavorful and they do a good job. It just baffles me that the one thing they are bad at is what the are called mamaSUSHI. If you stay away from that-- you will have a good meal. The staff are all very friendly and are eager to help. They always keep the tables clean and the service is quick.

Great staff and service, you can see the workers make the rolls in person, the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, and the music is a wonderful touch to the environment. Food was amazing - really nice twist traditional sushi for sure! Hookah was available the day I went (Saturday) and I cannot wait to return again.

Came here to celebrate my cousin's birthday, it was conveniently located close by to my family's house. It was such a good positive grown vibe, I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, music, and drinks as well as I enjoyed my company. Everything was packed with flavor and tasted delicious. It was my first time trying a 'sushi' roll without seafood. The pork boa bun was so juicy. The tostones had a nice crisp to it. The lamb chops mash had a nice garlic flavor. I'd definitely come back to eat and party again.

Seared Salmon - this dish is actually over 25 dollars. The "parsley rice" tastes like it's soaked in rice vinegar.

This place is not to be trusted. Watch how they charge you here because they're scandalous. My husband came here to pick up dinner takeaway for our family. While he waited for our order, he sat at the bar and had a drink. I'm assuming that Elsa was the bartender (the name on the order ticket) that took his drink order as well as our takeaway order. Everything was packed up well when it was given to him and he paid, left and came home. The food traveled well but he noticed that he was charged gratuity of almost $30 for the takeout order. I guess you pay gratuity no matter where you sit and Elsa took the opportunity to up her tip on hubby's drink by charging gratuity on everything instead of doing what she should have done, and separating the takeout order from the drink order, only charging gratuity (if that's even customary) on the drink order. If he paid for his drink and then ordered the food, would the gratuity charge be applied?? The other weird thing is that our order ticket also shows that there were two guests when there was only one. To make matters worse, the food is overpriced and not that good. Here's the rundown of what we had: Carajito Chicken Chofan (2 out of 5) - a VERY basic kid's chicken fried rice for our daughter which was bland and all looked the same color. My kiddo complained there wasn't any meat and was only rice, and I had to point out the little dry pieces of chicken cubes, with not a vegetable in sight. Literally brown chicken and brown (colored) rice. Nothing more. Not even flavor. El Sobrano Roll (3 out of 5) - my son and I shared this roll. It's supposed to be grilled salmon, shrimp tempura, avocado and wakame paste. It was actually topped with wakame (seaweed) salad which I prefer, and it was OK. The filling is LIGHT. There's more rice than there is filling. For that price, I want to see the shrimp and fish. El Mocano Roll (1 out of 5) - my son and I shared this as well. It's a deep fried roll with BBQ rib, bacon, sweet plantain, avocado, kimchi sauce (not really) and a scant drizzle of chimichurri. This was tasted like maduros. That's it. You could not taste anything else, not even the bacon. I honestly question whether there was even any in the roll. That "kimchi sauce" tasted like that ketchup mayo crap they serve to dip their rolls in. Mama Chahan Chofan (3 out of 5) - hubby had this and said it was OK. IMO, it was as bland as the kid's rice but it had a semi poached egg sitting on top so I guess they get an extra point for that. Seared Salmon (3 out of 5) - my son and I also shared this dish. It was a very small piece of overcooked hibachi-style salmon in a ponzu glaze sauce which actually tasted good. It was probably the best tasting thing that we had. The accompanying veggies were a disappointment, as it only came with one third of an asparagus stalk, a few very tiny pieces of Chinese broccoli and one baby carrot sliced in half. The parsley sushi rice was horrible. It was basically sushi rice with waaaaaay too much vinegar or whatever they put in it, as it tasted very acidic and off putting with an aftertaste, and was topped with half a teaspoon of chopped parsley...definitely not worth the over 20 dollar price tag. To make matters worse, out food and utensils were also packed with someone's hair in the bag. It's safe to say that well never eat here again. The employees are crooks and that fact that is was so openly done tells me that this is probably a method that is encouraged, otherwise how could Elsa be so bold as to attempt to scam a patron with impunity? At least let the meal be enjoyable if you're going to rob me.

Always an amazing time !!!! Vibes! Music! Food! Staff ! Top tier!!!!!! Theeee best spot to unwind after a long week of teaching to grab some of the best ribs in the Tremont area!!! Highly recommend 20/10.

I got the vegetarian sushi roll, vegetable spring rolls & vegetable fried rice. I wasn't a fan of the fried rice but everything else was really delicious. The service was great & I loved dancing in my seat to the music while I enjoyed my food.

There are some dedicated parking spaces that have a three hour limit if dining. Upon arrival, I entered the inside restaurant space for Dakota's on the Grove. It was aesthetically pleasing. I should have sat inside here instead of in their outdoor space which they call The Grove at Dakota's. I was able to choose where I wanted to sit, so I chose a table near this shed where the bartender/waiter was. I noticed they were setting up for the Knicks Game 3 final and there were two large TVs and a projection screen. I overheard the waiter state that the area would be packed for the game tonight. There was also good music playing throughout. They had a large connect four, which would be nice to play. They are family friendly and had high chairs for babies and toddlers. When sitting outside they state that they have to preauthorize your card. Now getting onto the food. I was seated and provided with two menus. I immediately asked for a happy hour menu and then I waited for about 15 minutes, until I followed up with another waiter who brought out the menu for me. For the happy hour menu before I received my food I initially thought the prices were good, but upon receiving my food it was evident that the prices are off in terms of the portion size of the food. I ordered a $5 slider. I thought it would be a decent size. It was incredibly small. For the $5 price they should give at minimum 2 sliders but ideally 3. This would incentivize people to buy more. The slider was the best thing I tasted while there and I would have liked more but I couldn't justify spending another $5 when it was so tiny. The tiny slider appeared to be the portion size for a toddler. I ordered calamari which was $9. I was initially disappointed that there was such a small amount. I was even more disappointed when I tasted them. They tasted very "fishy." They absolutely needed a squeeze of lemon and fresh cracked black pepper to try and balance and mask the taste. I believe the portion size for the fries was also off for $5. The fries came in a teacup. Fries are something that people tend to order to have something to pick at while dining and it would make sense I think to provide more fries for the same price. I also could not justify getting another set of fries in a small teacup for $5. I did not like the taste of the fries. When the sparse calamari, tiny beef slider, and small teacup of fries came out, I realized I would not be full and ordered chicken wings from the happy hour menu. You have to get a minimum of 6. You cannot mix the flavors. They were out of the dockside fire sauce so I went with the garlic parm. These wings did not taste like garlic parm. The garlic parm seemed like an afterthought, which was just sprinkled on the wings at the very end. The chicken itself did not have much flavor. They did not mention providing any dipping sauce. I asked for blue cheese and I had to wait for about ten minutes and then remind another waiter that I was still waiting for my blue cheese. They were out of the mozzarella sticks. Moving onto the drinks. While I get being outside and maybe wanting to serve drinks in plastic to minimize glassware breaking, I did not enjoy being served Pinot Noir in a plastic cup or the white cranberry lemon drop in a plastic cup. Each time I was taken aback that they weren't offered in glassware. I got the $7 Pinot Noir from the happy hour menu. A regular glass of Pinot Noir is $9. I also ordered the white cranberry lemon drop which is priced at $12 and is not included on the happy hour menu. The drink came out in the same sized small plastic cup as the Pinot Noir. I think once again that glassware should be used. When ordering a lemon drop you tend to expect a chilled frosty glass with a sugar rim, and that was not what I received here. I think the sugar rim would have elevated the taste profile of the drink. All in all, I really liked the outdoor area. I would probably only return to get a canned beer in the outside section. I hope they start to carry some sour beer options. I do not see myself trying the food again, with the exception of a burger (since the burger was really good.) I did have an inquiry regarding the pre-authorization charge and the final charge that I saw on my credit card. I called and left a message and the restaurant got back to me quickly, which I really appreciated.

I was sent a reminder to confirm the reservation 2 days b4 and on the day of, the owner called to let me know there were some streets blocked off due to a Saint pattys parade. My friends and i were able to plan ahead thanks to that call and parked and walked over. My brunch reservation was for 2:15pm. Now once we came in, we were seated fast. One of my friends was about 20 mins late and they didn't give us an issue about it since the rest of us were there. They took our drink order and appetizers. My friend got there after we got our drinks and appetizers and she ordered hers and we all ordered entrees. The waitress was amazing! Kept coming to fill up my mimosa. We had shots, i felt celebrated the entire time. Owner came by and checked in on us too. The DJ was a vibe! Loved him and he kept shouting out all the birthdays in the room. There are 2 bathrooms which we didn't figure out until later because there was only a sign for 1 of the 2 bathrooms but once we figured it out, we saw the cute photo op area in the back. It's literally directly behind the DJ. The place is decorated beautifully and plenty of options for pics. Food was great, drinks were great and so were the vibes. Love the way they sing happy birthday with a whole party and bubbles. Overall great experience for a bday brunch no complaints. I will def be back for brunch and dinner for sure.
