A few people came in and out while we dined and everyone seemed to be friends. It was really cute. The restaurant was clean, our server (mature woman with an Irish accent) was so so sweet and upbeat. My partner ordered coffee and at first she told us the machine wasn't working, but a little while later she sent one of the workers across the street to fetch some. I got the fish and chips and my partner got the 3 egg omelette, where you also get to pick 3 fillings. The food was prepared fresh and came out nice and hot. The prices were great too, I think we both ate for around $40. I wanted to take advantage of the $6 brunch mimosas, but they had a sign up saying that they only accept New York IDs. Odd, but ok!

We didn't really get too much of an "Italian" vibe because a majority of the songs were in Spanish or English but that's neither here nor there. Our server was great however it did take a while for him to get around to us and I sat for about 15 minutes waiting for a Coke until my actual entree came out but that's not worries. I put in a special request on OpenTable for a birthday treat and they brought up a big spread of what he could choose from and he opted for the crème brûlée! We really enjoyed it and that they sang him happy birthday. We ordered stuffed crab mushrooms which were delicious and the lobster ravioli was also super yummy! I ordered the chicken parmigiana and thought it tasted like any other kind, it wasn't bad but it didn't stick out to me. I think the noodles were made al dente because they were a bit too firm for my liking and the sauce tasted like it came from a bottle as opposed to real pasta sauce. My partner gave his food an 9/10, I give mine a 7/10. We did some drinks as well I think I had a rum punch and my partner had a mojito and we both enjoyed our drinks as well, 9/10 for the rum and 10/10 for the mojito.

It eventually picked up and was better for the remainder of the night. We tried multiple apps all were pretty good amongst the group except the Ackee and Salt fish roll. Everyone said their entrees were good no complaints. It turns into a party around 9 ish and the lights will turn off so be aware of that if you're going for dinner. The dj was pretty good. I liked that he played a mix of songs and genres, so a little something for everyone in the crowd. It also got really packed towards the night party around 10 pm or so.

The food came out pretty quickly I had the oxtail rice and peas and veggies. It was actually pretty good especially after I topped mines with some hot sauce. I ended up switching with my boyfriend and ate his shrimp 10/10 very god and cooked very good. The spice was also on point. I would come back again for the vibes it was a cool spot overall. A host sat our group of three down and was very accommodating. It took a little while for them to take our drink orders, but it seemed like they were overwhelmed so it was understandable. The spicy margaritas were solid, but the lychee martini and raspberry lemon drop were not the best. We also wanted to order food and were told it would be about an hour wait. If I'm drinking, I definitely want to eat, so I asked if there was anything that could come out quicker for us to munch on. About halfway through the wait it seemed like they didn't have guac and chips, so they brought bread and butter out to a few tables. I guess that was their way of giving people something to snack on while waiting. Right before our dishes came out, one of the waitresses had us pay for what we ordered with her (a couple of waitresses were helping us). I thought that was a little tacky, she could've waited until we were done or combined the tabs since we were at the same table the whole time, not sure if that was possible. Anyways, the food was decent. We had the chicken tacos, nachos, and chicken chunks. I will say they play good music and had all the games people wanted to watch on. It seems like they need to work on being a little more organized and staying calm under pressure, but they have potential.

Happy Hour! Went on…read morea Wednesday evening for HH. the restaurant was empty upon arrival. We had our choice of seating.... So we made our way towards the back tables across from the bar. Our waitress which was also our bartender was very nice. For starters we had 2 orders of their happy hour wings. Happy hour wings come with 4 pieces. 1 order of buffalo and an order of sweet chili. Both were crispy and very tasty. We also had raspberry lemon drops which were presented beautifully. Well balanced, not too strong or sweet. The pineapple margarita was too sweet for me. We moved on the nachos w/ beef and a Beyond Burger for our entrees. Both were ok... once we received our check we noticed we weren't charged for a Beyond Burger but a Cheeseburger. That is a very dangerous mistake.... Luckily my BF prefers veggie patties and doesn't have any type of allergy, intolerance or religious reasoning behind it. Not sure how that was misconstrued but that mistake leads down a very slippery slope for people with any type of allergies & intolerance.

We waited another 10 minutes or so before they came back and asked us if we wanted them to put the food back under the heating lamp to wait for the rest of the table to get their food. We said yes so they took it back. We then waited another 10 minutes before all of our food came out. I also ordered a soup with my meal and that didn't even come out until I asked them for it, which they probably forgot. We were one of two tables in the place and we came around the same time and that table even got their food before us. Honestly, the two plates that were finished first came back out slightly warm and partly cold. The staff was very nice but the service was just way too slow. And that was just the service. I ordered an eggs benedict and it came with so little Hollandaise sauce on top that it was almost just a garnish. And because my eggs were under the heating lamp for so long, they were almost fully cooked and weren't even runny poached eggs anymore.

2/16 FIRST VISIT: My boyfriend and I came to Heritage Bar on…read moreFebruary 16 around 2:45 PM. It was pretty quiet since it was early on a Monday. I was deciding between the turkey salad and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta from the lunch specials and asked our server how the chicken salad was, She said it was her favorite and that it was a lot of people's go-to, so I decided to order that. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Heritage Nachos, Loaded Tater Tot Skillet, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chicken Salad Ciabatta. The nachos weren't really for me (I didn't love the type of chips used), but the tots were good and my boyfriend liked his cheesesteak. I absolutely loved the chicken salad sandwich and fries. I get a little fixated on foods I like, so I had honestly been craving that sandwich ever since. 3/14 SECOND VISIT: I decided to come back on March 14 specifically hoping to order the chicken salad sandwich again. It was much busier due to St. Patrick's weekend,I was alone, I was seated in a booth in the back. I was given the dinner menu, so I asked the server about the chicken salad sandwich I had previously ordered. She didn't recognize the sandwich but offered to ask the kitchen after I showed her a photo and the menu from my previous visit. Unfortunately she came back and said they couldn't make it. She suggested a grilled chicken sandwich, but I declined since I'm not really a fan of grilled chicken. I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich and asked for a few modifications (no stuffing or cranberry mayo, just regular mayo on a ciabatta). When the food came out, I immediately knew it wasn't turkey. I waited until the server came back and asked her to confirm what meat was on the sandwich. She initially told me it was turkey. After taking it apart & having a few bites I knew it wasn't turkey. I winded up eating the fries and asking for the bill. I decided to show her the inside of the sandwich again and asked her to double check with the kitchen, she returned and confirmed it was actually ham, even though the ticket showed that she ordered turkey. She did offer to remake the sandwich, but it would have taken another 10-15 minutes and at that point I was already over it. I ended up just paying, and leaving. I completely understand that menus change and servers can't memorize every item. I just wish the sandwich had been confirmed with the kitchen sooner when I questioned it the first time. Overall, my first visit was great, and that chicken salad sandwich was honestly amazing. I just wish the second visit had gone a little smoother.
