I got a great exclusive prefix menu for my Princesses day! I was able to make some changes and I tell you what I spent per person with my family was a fair price. The food was absolutely amazing. I'm sorry I don't have many food photos because I was trying to be in the moment! But I will be back and will try the patio which I had really hoped for for my party but there was another private party or large and we were upstairs but my girl said it gave her the bday vibe she wanted. We had reservations for 7p, I got there early and everyone welcomed us anyway and sat us immediately no waiting until your whole party arrives. We had amazing drinks, bread, family style apps the Burrata and the meatballs to die for! We all mixed between spicy rigatoni, seafood linguine frute de mar, filet Mignon, branzino, it was all amazing and I'm drooling as I type! Please give this place a try if you haven't because the service is 10 and food 10

But there's a Salsa clique here that we weren't aware of on Thursdays, but we enjoyed it anyhow. Venue Lounge is located in the Royal Regency Hotel in Yonkers, and to get to Venue, you use the hotel's main entrance. Once you get to Venue- you pretty much can sit anywhere you like. It's a nice looking and spacious lounge. Salsa lessons from 8-9 on Thursdays and Ladies drink for free during that time. Venue has a full bar and no cocktail menu. Decided on the 'Venue Platter' with, Fried Calamari, Mozzarella Sticks, Quesadillas, Coconut Shrimp & Buffalo Wings. Which was o...k but not the best. 1. The Good: Coconut Shrimp were chunky with an excellent shredded coconut coating, 2. The Mediocre: Quesadillas-nothing to scream about, Mozzarella Sticks were not gooey to my liking, Buffalo Wings, o...k 3. The Ugly: Calamari, no crunch at all. Rubbery and tasteless.... Aside from the more than half of the unimaginative appetizers, it's a good location to jive, if you're into dancing Salsa til the break of dawn.

The bar was nice and big it was very accommodating. Bartender was friendly and fast. It was salsa night so there were many regulars. Regulars are good, they know how to have fun. Alder Manor is also referred to as the W.B. Thompson Mansion. Built in 1912, it's an officially protected historical site. First built by a mining magnate, then turned into a high school, then a junior college, then abandoned. At this point in its history it doesn't come off as a perfectly preserved landmark, which gives it much of its character. It is filled with rooms upon rooms, some of which are still waiting for restoration. Behind it is a newer building, looking very much like a small HS. The property is nice and large. Although not in prestige condition, it gives off a strong sense of elegance. I'm not sure what the price would be to rent the space. But whether it be an elaborate party or a massive wedding, this would be a fantastic space for most events.

The garden is romantic and wild, and there are a variety of outdoor spaces that can be used for cocktails. The hall is huge and beautiful with many rooms that you are free to use - perfect for designing your event in whatever way you like. There are great dining spaces, dancing spaces, and lounge spaces with vaulted ceilings, marble, and hard wood with many lighting options. They are just getting going as a major event space and some things can be improved. Here are some specifics of our experience that might be helpful both to them and to you if you are planning an event there: On the Caterer - Sergio, owner of Chefs at Work is the exclusive caterer for the event space. He is an outstanding chef, will work long and hard with you to ensure that the food is exactly what you want, and it will be delicious and beautifully presented. That's the very good news. The less good news is that he is not a good manager. He went through several event managers while we were working with him and just when we would get to know one and actually get our phone calls returned, she would disappear and we would have to start over. Hopefully this was just growing pains and he will find someone permanent who will take over that side of the operation. Be a little careful there though if you are the kind of person who gets frustrated with not having phone calls returned. Make sure he has someone who is planning to be around for a while (or even better by the time you read this, has actually already been around for a while) and can take on the event-planning side of things. On the Florist - Susan, the house florist (not required) is not to be recommended. We started with her as a default because she knows the event space. Her quote came out a factor of two higher than another local florist for the same set of flowers so we were thinking of hiring the other florist. We talked it over with Susan and she said that she could bring the price down to something reasonable by using in-season flowers, etc. We agreed on a specific set of flowers that we love, wrote specifics into the contract, and signed on with her. Unfortunately, the flowers that showed up were not the flowers that we agreed on and the larger arrangements in particular were really not very nice. We were very disappointed. To make matters worse, part of the contract specified that she was to bring baby bush roses to be used to the cake. She didn't do this at all and we ended up having to scramble with some full-sized roses brought for something else. Find someone else.

The baked clams and mussels were outstanding, and the crusty bread was perfect for soaking up every drop of sauce. I added jalapeños to the Snow White pizza and it was incredible. The dough had the perfect chew and flavor. My boyfriend's chicken parm was massive--two huge cutlets--and easily a 10/10. The seafood pasta was equally delicious. Dessert was the perfect finish: frozen espresso, refreshing lemon sorbet, and a giant tiramisu that's big enough for a crowd. My only small complaint is that guests pack their own leftovers. At this level, I think the staff should handle that. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

We…read moredidn't have bike locks with us, so I went inside to ask the manager, Bill, if we could leave our bikes in the (closed) patio area since we were worried about them being stolen. Unfortunately, he was extremely dismissive and simply said no, then added that there were no tables available for us--which was odd considering the group right after us got seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or what, but his overall attitude felt very cold and unwelcoming. We ended up sitting at the bar, and to be fair, Bill did help coordinate with the bartender Ana to get us seats together, which I appreciated. Ana herself was kind and attentive, though when we asked for food recommendations, she mostly just said "everything is great." I personally prefer a bit more honest guidance. For food, we shared the Hot Honey Roni Sicilian, Caesar salad, and calamari fritti. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were good, and my friend and I always make the best of things, but for the price point (about $80 each with two drinks and tip), I expected better service and slightly more generous portions. I'd consider going back, especially if we're biking in the area again--but next time, we'll definitely bring bike locks...and avoid the garden

We also tried the hummus, but none of us really cared for it. Everyone enjoyed their entrees (tacos, burger, spicy garlic noodles). My husband's spicy garlic noodles were very flavorful. I have a mild spice tolerance and I didn't find them spicy at all, but still good. I opted to mix and match tacos and all the flavors were delicious. --I really like when places offer a mix and match situation because I like variety. Though pricy, all of our drinks were on point. The large beer selection was a hit as were the refreshing margaritas. Our server was very friendly. (He did however keep noting things that were listed as spicy were very spicy when no one in our group found anything spicy at all despite the dish title lol, but I guess that's personal preference). The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side so keep that in mind. I would definitely return. The menu offers something for everyone.

The food was amazing across the board from the sliders and chicken tenders to the pasta with shiitake mushrooms my wife ordered, which she said was delicious. Overall, it was a five-star experience and a great night out with the family.
