I came here for a birthday dinner which is a pretty popular thing to do at this restaurant. The staff sang happy birthday several times throughout the night. I was a little concerned due to the mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised and had a good time. The restaurant is beautiful. The decor is really nice and the outdoor seating is perfect for day or night. We originally sat at the bar to wait for the rest of the party. We had some drinks and some apps. We had the ceviche which was I was not a fan of and the calamari which was pretty good. I think the portion could have been a little more for the calamari and the ceviche was not a traditional one and it lacked flavor. It also could have used some bread, chips or plantains to go with it. For drinks we had the Cielo Blanco which was made really well. The cocktail menu was pretty decent and extensive. At the bar we noticed that they automatically put on a 20% gratuity which does not sit well with me when restaurants do that on all parties. While I can see a larger party but we were just two people sitting at the bar. We then sat for our actual dinner with a larger party. I had the special that was going on which was a whole red snapper which I loved. It was a good portion with sides and worth the price. It was flavorful as well. My friend had the steak which was cooked to perfection and was also very flavorful and worth the price. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The highlight was around 9/10pm when the entertainment started. While there were dancers periodically throughout the night there was a much more elaborate performance outside. If you are seated outside at that time, you have front row view otherwise the whole restaurant got up and went outside to see it. The performance was amazing and hyped up the restaurant. Overall this place a good place to come to have a special dinner at. The staff were very friendly and there was a lot of attention to detail here. The prices, to me were no different than any other restaurant in Manhattan. The place is more of a performative restaurant so that is what you are paying for: ambiance, performance, and elegance. The food is secondary and while mine was delicious I can see how it might not seem worth it to others. Oh two things to consider, 1. the place has a small bathroom for such a large restaurant. Overpriced and overhyped in my opinion. We came here for my sisters birthday and despite having a reservation we still had to wait about 20-30mins to get seated bc our table "wasn't ready" once we were sat the service was super slow and all over the place. We were a table of 8 and drinks came out at random times despite all of us ordering together as well as the appetizers. For my meal I ordered the salmon and it was undercooked and extremely oily, so much so that the skin was soggy and just a mess. Then they try to upsell on everything, coming around the tables asking us if we wanted to pay $10 to break a plate, there was supposed to be a show and that didn't happen, overall, it was overpriced bad food, so much so, I ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home bc there was no way I was eating that salmon. Father's Day 2026... Valet dude was super rude and the waiter was not attentive. The hostess was super glorious and was super nice. The restaurant looks Mediterranean with a sprinkle of latin flavor. Customer service is paramount, and this place does not give that. Food was just okay but indoor ambiance was A1. Entree took about an 1 1/2 hours to come out and the waiter was acting like we were doing him a favor. He didn't even give his name or give a proper greeting. He seemed very annoyed and didn't add anything to my experience. I don't even want to write what I really want to write about my server but he definitely was unwelcoming. This place was horrible. My drink. "One night in Mikanos was good and the ambiance in nice. The food was extremely salty. I came with 3 other people and not one person liked their food all with the same complaint. The calamari was very grainy the lamb chops were salty. To make things worse, someone I was with complained about the food and the response from the MANAGER was that this is odd because we are the first people to complain. When we first got there we saw people upset with their food. We mentioned it and the response was they complained about something else. Which is laughable. Not only that but the manager Ramon was very aggressive so I had to get involved asking why is he talking to her like that. He then tried to say that he is not talking to me. I asked for a general manager and he never approached me. Instead I had to look for him, which it did. I shared my frustration as to why I needed to come up to him and his response was he expects his manager to take handle the situation. UPDATE: I would like to thank to owner for getting back to me. Atik is a cute location for its ambiance and live shows. Food: the food is good, tasteful to the pallet and good portion. The food to me is a little above average where it's eatable and will satisfy your appetite. The drinks are really good! Service: the service is top notch. Came for a friend birthday last (Saturday) night. I was the first to arrive and went to the bar. Bar is small in my option which led me to stand at the side. Might've been a manager that asked if I was being helped and got the attention of the bartender to get me a drink. Drink was pretty good (forgot the name). There was live entertainment by dancers with fire and dancing which made everyone more alive and fun. It made the atmosphere better. Later in the evening they had another entertainment for breaking the plate. It was fun! The waiter was so nice and great service. He did not let us feel rushed and was very accommodating. I got mussels without sausage and the rigatoni pasta. Mussel was in tomato sauce. The pasta was really good, was firm and tasty. I liked the food. Went on a rainy weekday and the restaurant was practically empty so I can't speak to the vibe on a regular night but I sure did have an amazing time! The restaurant's aesthetic is perfect for photos I'm talking content creator, social media socialist level stuff. Inside and out it's gorgeous. Now to the food. Again I went on a quieter night maybe, other than me and my party there were probably 4 other people in the restaurant. I say that to say our food and drinks were so dang good! I think the bartender and chef had enough time to give our orders all of their attention and I am super happy about that. Even the waiters were attentive checking in, refilling waters, cleaning the table etc. 10/10 for customer service in my book. I hope this level of service is the same on a busy night. This was a very nice Mediterranean experience. First, the location right on the water was so beautiful. I've been to Greece and felt like I was back there when visiting this spot. The food was 10/10. I went with an appetite and order a lot of small plates to start and the octopus was phenomenal. I was almost too full to finish my actual entree, but that was good as well. The drinks were tasty, nothing spectacular but they looked pretty and tasted good. I wanted dessert, but by the time we were able to order most things were sold out. We made it early enough to see one of the performances before being seated for our dinner and it was amazing. Everyone was up and ready to party during the show. We also participated in the plate breaking tradition and that was a ton of fun. You do have to purchase the plates, but it's super cheap and an experience for sure. Luckily they stall dinner during that time, so we didn't go back to cold food after the plate breaking. Our server was fun and really helped us with making some good selections. Service was a little slow though, but it was pretty busy that night. Overall, I'd try this spot again (especially to try some of their desserts). read more

My Saturday afternoon outing with my friend Pat F. was really long overdue. Between life, errands, rescheduling several times and the usual hustle, it felt amazing to finally catch up over tasty food and cocktails- especially being right on the water in City Island. I hadn't realized that Atik now occupies the space where Portofino was until she mentioned it. Portofino held a special place for me when my husband and I used to come for nice dining and it truly stood out among the strip back in the day. But now....hellooooo Atik! What a transformation! Gone are the heavy burgundy drapes of the past. Atik has done a complete 180°. The space now feels bright and open from the moment you walk in. It has a fresh, modern vibe with light wood floors and then BOOM- you're greeted by a spacious main dining area with a mix of seating styles. A couple of rounded booths and a massive eye-catching bar. And just when I thought we'd seen it all, our hostess led us to the outdoor dining area and wow. Right on the water, it felt like we'd been transported somewhere along the Mediterranean coast, complete with loungey, SiriusXM Chill-esque music tying it all together real nice. Our server Christopher, was pleasant and accommodating- even when my friend and I kept asking him to give us "just another minute" as we caught up. The service was awesome throughout. We shared a Greek salad, a large and crispy fried calamari order and hummus+pita. That trio alone was plenty to graze on while we talked, sipped and soaked in the view. And speaking of sipping- I can't forget the cocktails. I had two spritzes: a classic Aperol and their signature Atik Spritz. Usually, spritzes are more club soda than Prosecco, but not here. These were bold and boozy in the best way. Not watered-down- just well-made drinks. At least mine were. I just hope all the other cocktails are powerful too! Based on Atik's overall rating, maybe they need to figure out how to serve a medium-rare steak that's actually medium-rare, or bring your drink before you're halfway through your meal- but let's chill. Absolutely loved everything about this place..!! We visited on a weekend, so they also had some great shows for us. Decor is beautiful, and both the indoor and outdoor seating is set up really well in a comfortable manber with enough space to move about. You get a great waterfront view with outdoor seating, and the place especially looks great in the evenings. We ordered a variety of cocktails, apps, Entrées, and dessert, and we didn't have a single thing to complain about. All the cocktails tasted yummy and were not watered down. Food was just great all around, be it presentation, quality, taste, or quantity. I personally loved their Risotto and the Clam dessert. Service was fast enough considering how packed they were. Daniel, who waited on us, was friendly, extremely helpful, and just had a great attitude, doing whatever was needed to make our visit hassle free. I would love to revisit, and definitely a solid place for Date Night, or celebrate with family or friends. The Limone dessert looked promising until it wasn't smh the outside was good very reminiscent to white chocolate but the inside just odd. I anticipated it to have a citrusy lemon ish taste nope just straight up acidic! Idk if it was spoiled but if that was the goal flavor it's not good. We also ordered a mango cheesecake to go please look at the photo smh the standard restaurant portion is 3.4/4 oz they gave us a slither of cake for $17. For that alone They should really be ashamed of themselves.. also just to note automatic 20% gratuity on the bill no matter the party size. Seems like they've invested a lot into looks and none into the actual dinning experience. I came early on a Saturday to enjoy the food and an experience the vibe when it's not busy. It was a beautiful day sunny day definitely hot for October weekend. Hostess sat us down immediately we chose an outside seating due to the weather. Staff was so hospitable my server was a gem and gave great selections off the menu. My passion fruit spicy margaritas was delicious I had two. I'm an oyster girl so definitely ordered a few dozen. My other favorite apps were the Tuna and the shrimp ceviche. The Tuna had levels of flavor and the pita chips yum yum. Will most definitely be back at night for a dinner but was definitely a great new spot on City Island. The entertainment advertising doesn't match the actual experience. As it's been stated in other reviews the food is really not exciting or anything supremely unique or with bragging about. The have numerous over charge like $9 for water which is reused bottles of probably tap water being sold as distilled. We came to celebrate at 21st and the entertainment wasn't around the entire time we only seen some of it because after eating we decided to take pictures. The entire point of going there was for their advertised entertainment. We called the day before and specifically asked if the entertainment performance would happen during the reservations time and they said yes. The doorman argued with me and my friend - at the beginning of the evening and at the end of the evening. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The doorman greeted me with " I can see your vag***", while i walked up to the restaurant feeling happy carrying my birthday cake. Before you greet me with a Happy Birthday and a smile, that is what I receive - a PERVERTED message. I told him its impossible he could see my private parts because the bottom of my skirt has a bodysuit clasp mini short underneath. Not sure if he mistook the color of the fabric for my private part. It was EMBARRASSING and DISRESPECTFUL, and disgraceful especially in front of the other guest of my party and other guest of the restaurant at the door way. I asked for the owner in tears. I was crying and upset for much of the evening. Crying on my special occasion. The doorman also told me that I was insulting him and "harassing his job" whatever that may mean, since I told him that he could not possibly be seeing my private parts due to the design of the outfit and that maybe he doesn't know fashion. I was told by management that they would make it right and the reality of that, their low tier customer service resolution was to give me and my 2 friends , 1 round of drinks at THE END of the evening after we had already been ordering and drinking at dinner. On the way out my friend asked the same doorman how come he singled us out and allowed others who did not meet the dress code of the restaurant to proceed without harassment - his answer to her was calling her (a beautiful Ghanian woman) an animal and tell her to "go back to the projects". This is not the type of service you expect at any place. Truly embarrassing and disgraceful. I will state the unnecessary, that I WILL NEVER BE A CUSTOMER AT THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN. I will definitely make sure no one I know has to encounter this type of behavior that I had to endure at this low tier service establishment. I feel VIOLATED that I was greeted with such a PERVERTED message and UNPROFESSIONAL delivery, and DEEPLY HURT that my beautiful, Ghanian party guest was CALLED AN ANIMAL. I created a video review with pictures of how other guests at the restaurant were dressed that did not receive the same poor treatment that I received. It is on my social platforms where I shared my experience. Poor management and lacks service training needed to run a high end establishment. I am not sure how much longer this place will survive with these kind of employees and low level of hospitality training (if any training at all is given). Came to Atik to celebrate my birthday with my husband on a Monday night, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I had read reviews about long wait times, but thankfully it wasn't crowded at all -- a nice surprise! The ambiance is absolutely beautiful -- sexy, and perfect for a special occasion or date night. The atmosphere really set the tone for a memorable evening. We started with a trio of appetizers: the calamari, crab cake, and eggplant croquettes -- each one was perfectly cooked and seasoned, especially the eggplant croquettes, which were a standout for me. For our entrees, we ordered the short rib and the skirt steak with risotto -- both dishes were delicious and well-seasoned, rich in flavor, and plated beautifully. The drinks were also on point -- creative, well-balanced, and just strong enough to feel like you're celebrating something. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere for a Wednesday night was very quiet and calm compared to a weekend. We loved it since we brought our 3 month old with us for my husband's birthday. The service was good from our server she gave good advice on what to get, as well as the people dropping off the food. I had a lychee martini & another drink with pineapple both were delicious. My husband had a drink with Hennessy that reminded him of tamarind & refreshing drink which I also thought tasted great and we usually don't like the same drink. For appetizers we had the oysters which tasted fresh, & the ceviche, the fish was good the sauce was ok. For dinner we had the branzino that came with cauliflower mash and lobster ravioli which 10/10 for both especially the cauliflower mash was amazing with Brussel sprouts. Came here on 6-21 for my friend's birthday dinner, she had reservations for 7:45pm. We were seated at 8 pm when most of us arrived. Let's start with the positive , the restaraunt is beautiful. Ok , warning this will be lengthy. First red flag. There was a mishap as my friend was informed that she would have a pre-fixed menu , however the manger Ricky advised us that , the information provided over the phone was incorrect and informed us that the pre fix menu wasn't a set price which didn't make sense when my friend was provided a price over the phone . We didn't sweat it, we were just excited to try their food . Next , we ordered our drinks at 8:39pm the drinks came to us at 9:29pm. Yup, we got it an hour later. The first round of drinks were good . However , my second drink was halfway full, As I was informing the waiter he gave me another drink stating that he noticed my drink was not initially full and stated that the bar did not know what they were doing . I looked closely at the drink and realized it was not the same drink . I informed the waiter and he confirmed the new drink was not what I originally ordered , in fact the new drink consist of light and dark liquor . I don't mix liquors . I informed him of this and his responsive was taste the drink it's good. I told him I don't mix drinks and he took the drink, I never received the correct drink . We ordered appetizers and received it an hour and change later. Literally received it 9:45pm . I ordered the crab cake which was good. FYI we ordered the appetizers and food together . At 11pm still no food , now I have a headache , two ppl went to another manager and complained and advised them if the food was not on its way out we are requesting the check. The manager gave us 20 percent off the check . For 11 drinks and appetizers the bill was $450 after the discount. The waiter then brought us another bill with the tip like he wasn't forreal right ? I have no limit to what I would spend to eat as fine dining is my thing to do . I can't get with high bills and the establishment sucks. Let's not mention as we were leaving we saw Ricky. While the ambiance, décor, and overall vibe at Atik are elegant and very picture-worthy, unfortunately that's where the positives end. This place is really only good for the aesthetic experience. We made birthday reservations and arrived a bit early, but our table wasn't ready. We were directed to sit at the bar, which was fine at first. The drink and food menus are accessed via an iPad/tablet, which is convenient, but the drink selection was surprisingly limited. The cocktail I ordered was beautifully presented and tasted good. We ended up sitting at the bar for about 50 minutes--roughly 20 minutes past our reservation time--before being seated. We closed out our bar tab, and 5-6 drinks came out to nearly $200 after tax, service fee, and gratuity, which already felt steep. Because we were a party of 10, we were required to order from a prix fixe menu. All items (except entrées) are served family-style, and the options were extremely limited, forcing people to settle for dishes they didn't really want. I ordered the braised short rib, which was drenched in BBQ sauce and served over grits or some sort of cornmeal. It was honestly terrible. Another entrée was the salmon with mashed potatoes, which my friend also said lacked flavor. Most of us barely touched our food. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the arugula salad appetizer--and I ended up ordering an extra side of it for myself. For a restaurant with such an elegant atmosphere and higher price point, we expected much more, especially in terms of flavorful, Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Gorgeous venue, great service & good food. This new, upscale Mediterranean restaurant is different than everything else on City Island. The space is huge, feels like you're on vacation (20 mins from Queens). Parking lot was full and valet was closed, took awhile to find parking on a Friday night, 7:45 reservation. The menu is digital and has photos of everything which I love. The tiramisu martini and emerald martini were very good, lychee martini tasted like juice. For appetizer I had the Greek calamari which was very good, grilled perfectly. Entree- I went with the whole branzino, large portion, very fresh and tasty, came with a side of cauliflower mash which was a little bland. This restaurant offers a very upscale and elegant atmosphere from the moment you arrive, with valet parking. It was enjoyable to watch the plate-breaking celebration, which added a memorable touch to the evening. The food was well prepared and flavorful, although the portion sizes were smaller than expected. One aspect that could be improved was the music selection, as the same "Happy Birthday Habibi" song was played repeatedly throughout the night as it became repetitive over time. I visited this restaurant on Saturday, May 9th, with a group of six to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the experience at the door immediately left a bad impression. The doorman singled out one member of our party for allegedly being out of dress code because of "sheer pants" and suggested she cover herself with a jacket, which was unnecessary and embarrassing. Meanwhile, while waiting in line, I observed several other women enter the restaurant wearing outfits that were far more revealing and were not approached at all. One woman wore a backless top with minimal coverage in the front, another had on extremely short shorts where her buttocks were visible, and another guest wore a very short yellow dress that exposed her underwear when she walked. When I asked the doorman for clarification, he stated this was a "family restaurant" and that he "felt" our party member was not dressed appropriately for that environment. That explanation made no sense considering the atmosphere inside. The music was excessively loud, the crowd was not reflective of a family environment, and a nearby table of about 12 guests was dressed far more provocatively and behaving inappropriately throughout dinner. There was also security stationed at the back door, which made the establishment feel more tacky than upscale. I will say the hostesses at check-in were professional and welcoming, and our waitress, Valentina, was friendly and attentive. Most of our party enjoyed the food, although the drinks were mediocre. What was most disappointing was the clear inconsistency in enforcing the dress code. We were all appropriately dressed, respectful, and carried ourselves well throughout the evening. The treatment we received felt targeted, and it is difficult not to question whether race played a role in how we were approached. If this restaurant intends to enforce a dress code, it should clearly outline and apply those standards equally to everyone. I would also strongly recommend cultural sensitivity and diversity training for staff. Our group deserved to be treated with the same respect as every other guest. read more

Do not go here if you don't pass the paper bag test. If Atik is only catering to certain demos and select guests, they should say that plainly and save the rest of us time and money. I visited here with a friend and our service left a lot to be desired. From the very beginning we were treated differently. We didn't get offered a bag hook and were only provided one menu to share until we requested a second one. But the final straw was when though we were there first, a family came in and they loved the only umbrella shading us to cover them. Given it was a hot day, I flagged the waiter down to ask about this. In return we were encouraged to move indoors despite the fact we were there first and were partway through our meal. Eventually we agreed to move closer to the newly seated family to get some shade. However, not long after this, the man seated at the table waived over someone else and speaking in another language asked for the umbrella to be moved, putting us in the sun again deliberately and adding a rude comment to my friend. To avoid any issues, I requested the bill. We never so much as received an apology. I didn't go to Atik asking for a handout. I'm spending my hard earned money like anyone else and I expected the same service as any other guest. I was excited to try this new restaurant and to bring more friends here but I won't be back and I don't encourage anyone else to go. The food itself was okay. read more

If you're not careful, the ambience here will trick you. I went in on a weekday for dinner, and the place was pretty empty. That made me a bit skeptical, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since it wasn't a weekend. The staff were attentive, and I did like the upscale touch of having menus on tablets. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to that same "upscale" standard. Our plates arrived within five minutes of ordering -- a red flag. It made me believe that the dishes were already pre-prepared and just being garnished before serving. The only thing I really remember tasting was the salt sprinkled on top. The salmon was bland and tasteless. I don't mind paying for quality, but the food was overpriced and didn't meet the expectations of a high-end restaurant. I'm giving two stars based on ambience alone. I'm not someone who returns to a place just because it looks nice. I don't care for taking pictures of my plate or the décor -- I want quality, and this place simply doesn't deliver it. Atik is such a beautiful restaurant. The decor is stunning! Showcasing attention to detail with the intention to give you vacation vibes, it's gorgeous. It sets the tone for date night or a nice evening out with family/friends. It gives classy, and the outside patio is a plus, so it's unfortunate it was a miss for me because the potential for Atik to be a top spot in the Bronx is there. Service: My husband I arrived around 7PM, was seated promptly and our waiter took our orders fairly quickly -- good start. The wait time for our food was too long, however. About an hour and change and when the food arrived, it was wrong.The waiter and the manager quickly handled it, but it did leave us annoyed with the experience. Food: NY strip: 8/10 - steak was cooked perfectly and the sides with veggies and potatoes were really good. Lobster Ravioli: 4/10 - Too saucy for my liking with not a lot of lobster filling. Just okay. Drinks: I don't drink, but my husband tried their margarita, 7/10, you'll probably need 2-3. Overall, theres room for improvement at Atik. I will come back for their brunch to try it, but my expectations are low. read more

The food was great! Came here for early dinner. Sat outside the staff is really sweet. The food was delicious. Valet parking was at Vistamar next door. We had the pasta, branzino. The sparking margarita was great. The processor bottle was cold. The ambiance gives Greece. The restaurant reminds me of Amavi in the city but the city island version. I will be back. The flavor of the food here is five stars, oh the mash was amazing. I want to go back for the belly dancers and fire performance. If you love to eat, dress up and have parking definitely go. We came here for a family brunch (three couples) and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow from the start, and midway through our meal the electricity went out. It was about 95° outside, and with no fans or ventilation it quickly became very uncomfortable inside. The staff did not provide any explanation or updates about the situation. When the bill arrived, we asked if they could accommodate us in any way for the inconvenience, but we were told no. Between the long wait times, lack of communication, and unwillingness to acknowledge the circumstances, our visit was frustrating from start to finish. Went here for my first time to celebrate my wife's birthday with our friends who actually recommended this spot in city Island . Norberto was our waiter and for me he was excellent. Graceful , knowledgeable, patient, polite & easy going . He checked all the boxes for me as far as what I could want & expect from a waiter at a very extravagantly laid out restaurant . I think it's safe to say that there isn't a restaurant that compares to this restaurant on city Island in terms of the amount of work they obviously invested in the aesthetics of the place . In the word the place is gorgeous. . Well laid with all the bells and whistles of a fancy restaurant but without the feeling of stuffiness or or stiffness that some upscale restaurants find it hard to avoid .For me it was the staff and just the energy and who ever the owner or owners are of this establishment or I think it's safe to say it's not the first rodeo . I think they got all the difficult things of opening a restaurant right with so much competition around you . Strong drink menu , well balance drinks , well trained staff that seem to all work together really well . Not an overly complicated menu with enough variety to keep you coming back . They're about 15 minutes from my home so I will definitely will be returning and I strongly recommend you give these guys a try and come to your own conclusions . This is going to be a lengthy review, I do hope you make it to the end LOL. I will preface this by saying I travel to the Mediterranean often, spending much of my time abroad so I was especially excited to see this restaurant come to the Bronx. Additionally, I am born and raised in the Bronx and will always support new businesses. This review will be pros and cons based off MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and is by no means to take shots at a new establishment, but when you are paying upwards of $400 for an evening here you should be allowed an honest review, also giving grace as they just opened about a month ago. PROS: The space is stunning it gave me vibes from what you would find in a restaurant in Greece, but for me that's where the "Mediterreanean" concept ended. However, if you are looking for a good photo moment you will find it here. The outdoor space is also set up beautifully, unfortunately the day I went the weather wasn't great and we had to change our reservation to indoors. They neighbor with Vistamar next door, from what I was told by staff the owner of Vistamar also owns ATIK. The staff was extremely attentive, checking on us often and refilling our glasses. We didn't feel rushed by any means. The menus were all digital on IPADS which I thought was really cute. THE MENU: Nothing about the menu screamed Mediterranean to me. Again, as someone who frequents the Mediterranean, I think there was room for improvement as far as the menu selection, adding pita and hummus as an appetizer just didn't do it for me. My friend ordered the chorizo mussels, and I had the fried calamari, no complaints there. It was all delicious, well prepared and well-seasoned. For mains I had the beef short rib with the truffle corn polenta and a side of spinach. My friend ordered the prime NY strip with brussel sprouts and a side of mashed potatoes. The beef short rib was tender and delicious; the truffle corn polenta was a no for me. The truffle was overwhelming with the texture of the polenta and did not mesh well with the sweetness of the corn. The spinach was incredible, and I could have eaten that alone. My friend's steak arrived cold with a cold piece of butter on top and we had to send it back to be reheated which they did with no problem. We ordered a bottle of Whispering Angel Rose which I initially believed was $55 and maybe I am mistaken, however when the bill came the bottle was $114 As someone who does bottle service often, I am no stranger to bottle prices, however this was not a magnum bottle it was the same $26 bottle that I purchase in the liquor store, I get the up sale I do and if it had not been for me questioning the price of what I saw on the menu overall I would not have mentioned at all. Again, I could be mistaken about the menu price. We skipped dessert as nothing was really appealing to us. THE EXPERIENCE: When we arrived, we were seated quickly for our 6:30pm reservation, initially we were cramped and were told we couldn't be seated elsewhere due to the number of reservations, although the table we asked to be moved to was unoccupied until we were signing our check. There was no room on either side for us to get into our seats and when I asked how we were expected to do so, the hostess said that is a good question, they ended up moving the coat/bag rack of the next table so we could sit. There was a show around 8:40Pm that was nothing spectacular and we were told that they also performed next door at Vistamar. The experience overall was standard nothing too terrible and nothing outstanding. When the bill came, I noticed a cash price and a credit price in which you can save money if you use cash, which I am pretty sure is not legal based on newly passed NYC/NYS legislation again I could be wrong absolutely check for yourself. An automatic 20% gratuity is also already included for you. I would give the restaurant another chance as I would love to try the outdoor setting as well as the Branzino. I just know to manage my expectations better around the "Mediterranean" aspect. read more

After being seat for 25 min, my group was finally given water to start. Had to ask for a manager to send someone to finally take our orders. When someone finally came, we decided to put all the appetizers and entrees in at once so not to wait long. Sad to see someone else just got seated next to us and right away a server was there to take their orders. My group finally receives their appetizers except me. I literally had to wait over 20 min after for my appetizer only after having to Inform one of the staff members and I literally saw her speak to a female manager about the situation. The manager looked at me but it would have been nice to come over to the table to apologize for the inconvenience. Nothing was still done. Had to inform another male manager who was able to finally have staff deliver the hummus to the table but sadly without the pita bread. Another 7 min wait to finally get that. Even after seeing how upset I was, the managers not once stopped in after to check on the table, but the the female manager was able to check in on a table right next mine to see how the ladies were doing. Then dessert comes and after everyone in my table is given theirs, I had to flag down someone asking where is mine. It was never brought out. I tell the server, who apologizes and 5 min later, It finally arrives but omg, HORRIBLE!!! You literally gave me a damn frozen lemon. I had everyone in my table try and they all agreed, this is the worst. PURE SOUR!!!I'm so over it all!!!! Let me NOT FORGET how I was just told by staff that the people sitting outside are friends with management. Now I see why they are literally being taken care of on hands and knees. Taking care of your friends very well I see (and I can literally see because it's being done in plan view). You have GOT to be kidding me. After they gave us the bill, there were three workers literally hovering over the table as to rush us so the my can process payment and get us out. I even made eye contact with one female who gave me this look as if to hurry up already. This establishment looks so beautiful for it to have such terrible service. Staff smiles and take care of others while managers just watch and take no action when their own workers tell them a client has an issue. I would NOT come back to this establishment and I will let others know before deciding on this place to eat!!!! 2 stars to the two ladies that did their job but everything else here is so bad.
