The bartenders are unprofessional and rude. Kenisha and Matthew have no sense of customer service. I've given this place a chance multiple times because they make fast food, but this will be the last time i come here. Bartender Matthew heard me ask him if their "fruit punch" had alcohol in there, said no and after I ordered, I somehow ended up with a rum punch. Apparently he "never serves punch without alcohol in there" If the item is not available, why have it on the menu? I noticed a lot of people ordering the oxtail Rasta pasta so I definitely had to try it for my appetizer. I got the drippy sweet chili wings, for my entrée I got the oxtail Rasta pasta included with the meal. Was your choice of bottomless mimosas or screwdrivers. I chose the screwdriver. When the wings came to the table, they were still piping hot and the sauce was amazing. The wings were crispy. Just the way you would expect once I finished my appetizer maybe 10 minutes later my food came out and the presentation was amazing. The portions were very hearty definitely worth every penny. I could understand oxtail being precooked but not salmon.The drinks came out in a timely manner, and were great in presentation and in flavor. Prior to the appetizers coming out, we were informed by our server that the entrees would be coming out at the same time. This was annoying because they really should not be coming at the same time. She ended up bringing out the appetizers first, and they were okay. I had the calamari which was fried nicely, but the seasoning throughout each piece was inconsistent. Some were seasoned perfectly and others not so much. Next, when the entrees came out they were luke warm because they had been sitting out ( I am assuming because they were ready at the same time as the appetizers). The salmon was pretty good, though I wish I could've ordered it to my liking. The rice and peas were good and flavorful. My date had the shrimp rasta pasta and he shared that it was good, but it did not wow him. As far as the service, it was slow and inconsistent. When we received our appetizers, we did not get any utensils or small plates to eat off of. In fact, my date had to get both of these things on his own. The music was good, and I had a good time overall. I understand its a new establishment, so I hope they are just working out some of the kinks. The shrimp tacos were AMAZING. Usually when I order shrimp tacos they give 3 unseasoned baby shrimp , that was NOT the case here. The shrimp are chopped, seasoned extremely well and cooked just right! The dipping sauce to accompany it was delicious as well. To drink we had the rum punch and sorrel mule. The rum punch punches back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Although it the establishment is small, they didn't cut any corners with decor, service, or flavor. The second drinks and appetizers were brought out maybe 12 mins later causing us not to enjoy our drinks and appetizers together (nobody wants their food to get cold or drinks to water down by waiting). I must mention that while ordering the waiter asked if I wanted my rasta mild, spicy, or extra spicy, I told him mild but upon tasting my food it was more on the spicer side; the pasta was flavorful I must give credit there. But another thing that annoyed me was that was the piece of chicken I was given for my rasta past was a chicken thigh. However, we sat for the next 1 hour and 15 minutes with just the appetizer and first round of WEAK drinks. The drinks took at least 30 minutes to be delivered to us themselves. The waitress came over multiple times ensuring us that our food would be right out. However, after an hour it still wasn't there. It was at the moment I saw the table next to us, who I KNOW came a good 30-40 minutes after us, get their apps, drinks AND entrees, that I knew something was amiss with the placing of our order and that they must've missed our order totally. I was right! The floor manager came over and told us that the cook had missed seeing our order completely and was now going to mad dash and make it for us. After that, we still waited another 15 minutes before my curry shrimp was delivered and still 10 minutes more for my friend's Red Snapper entree. To make matters worse, they ran out of fried rice to make the jerk chicken fried rice that I had ordered to take with me to go, at the SAME time we ordered all of our other food. They forgot about it and by the time we reminded them it was missing, they had run out of it....a whole 2 and half hours AFTER we ordered. We kept our composure while there, but we were livid. I know that they are a rather new establishment, but our service was extremely poor and inefficient. Not once did our waitress apologize for our orders not arriving, as I believe she actually did not fully put the orders all taken around the same time through , as another table she was serving two seats away from us, who arrived maybe 10 mins after us, had a severely delayed arrival of food as well. While the manager was extremely apologetic, she did NOTHING to rectify the situation. This is my PRIMARY issue with our experience here. If you mess up, FIX it...especially in a space where people are spending their hard earned money to have a nice dining out experience and patronize your business. It is absolutely unacceptable to have patrons sitting there for almost 3 hours without receiving everything they ordered and to not offer them anything to maybe help them "forget" that they're being inconvenienced. When she initially realized our entree order had never been fully pushed through, a complimentary round of drinks should've been sent or a significant discount on the bill should've been given. There was nothing given but lackluster apologies. When the manager came for the second time to tell us that they had run out of the fried rice, I wasn't even offered an alternate option! I'm a former hospitality & travel consultant and my friend runs operations for TWO restaurant lounges , so we KNOW the restaurant/bar space, and this was not okay. While the food was delicious (albeit with small portions, especially for a Caribbean restaurant), the drinks were not worth it and the food alone was not good enough to ever return in person.
