The crispy octopus easily rivals anything I've had in Manhattan, super tender with just the right crisp. The cassava hash browns were so good I was almost annoyed by how simple they were. Paired with a rich, meaty sauce and a fresh fennel crunch, the whole dish was incredibly balanced. The wings were the most straightforward item on the menu (in the best way), lightly spiced, slightly sweet, and great for picky eaters. Someone needs to give the bartenders a raise. I ordered three drinks just to test consistency--every single one was balanced, spirit-forward, and not overly sweet. The presentation was different on each one and felt intentional without being gimmicky. I've seen some of the lower Yelp ratings and they mostly call out price, but this is very much a you get what you pay for situation. The quality of the food, the portion sizes (especially for this level of execution), and the overall intentionality behind the menu justify it in my opinion. Service was excellent. They squeezed me in last minute, and my waiter, Dionicio, handled my coconut allergy (not easy at a Dominican spot) with real care and ease. The space itself is worth mentioning - moody, mushroom/mossy interiors. Super cute, very well thought out, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

I asked for non spicy tostones so that I could share them with my son and that's exactly what they served us. I had them with chicken. If you don't get anything else, get those. The vibes in there are soooo pretty I got some pictures with my son and a few of the walls. Very nice decoration and pretty lights.

What I love about this restaurant besides the delicious food and amazing drinks is the art on the walls and the beautiful uniform shirts that staff wears. It is unlike anything I've ever seen. It's literally aqua blue with replicas of the art in the restaurant. As far as the service, I didn't receive too much attention. It felt like an early start to a Saturday and I was one of two patrons seated at the bar. The bartender was great at making cocktails. I asked for a recommendation for an appetizer and he recommended the yuca dish wish was deep fried with shredded beef and cheese (supposedly) inside. The star of the show was the yuca and sauces. It was very filling. But I'm not sure that I would order it again

A Chic Culinary Gem in the Heart of Yonkers…read more If you're looking for a spot where the energy is high, the crowd is trendy, and the food is artfully executed, Zuppa in Yonkers is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere grabs you--it's upbeat and lively, fueled by a playlist of infectious, danceable house music that sets the perfect tone for a night out. Our evening was a masterclass in Italian-inspired dining, supported by a waitstaff that was consistently attentive without being overbearing. The Starters: Fresh & Crispy We kicked things off with the Calamari Salad, and it was nothing short of fabulous. The calamari had that elusive, "just right" amount of crunch, and I was impressed by how fast it arrived at the table. Even better? The portion was incredibly generous, making it a perfect shareable plate. Following that, the Caesar Salad arrived. While a staple at many restaurants, Zuppa's version stood out for its beautiful presentation--shaved parmesan and crisp greens arranged with real care. The Main Course: Flavor Over Everything For the entrees, we explored both land and sea: * Salmon over Quinoa: This dish was a standout for its flavor profile. The salmon was perfectly cooked and bathed in a bright, vibrant citrus sauce that paired beautifully with the nutty quinoa. My only minor critique is that the portion felt a bit small compared to the other hearty dishes, but the taste certainly made up for it. * Butternut Squash Risotto: A seasonal dream. The sauce was delicately seasoned, providing a smooth, velvety coating over the perfectly al dente risotto. It was comforting yet sophisticated. The Grand Finale: Dessert Excellence If you have a sweet tooth, Zuppa is your paradise. We sampled two desserts, and both were elite: 1. Chocolate Brownie with Salted Caramel Gelato: Simply exquisite. The richness of the brownie against the salty-sweet chill of the gelato created a perfect balance. 2. New York Cheesecake: Classic, creamy, and delicious. It was the ideal way to round out a high-energy meal. The Verdict~ Zuppa strikes that rare balance between a "scene" and a serious culinary destination. Whether you're there for the trendy vibes and the music or the expertly prepared seafood and pasta, you're in for a treat.
