What a wonderful spot for you to explore. We wanted to take our friend out to dinner for his birthday he likes a low key style. We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. I stop in on a Saturday evening with my friend. We were looking for a place to talk and have a drink. We sat at the bar and did just that. We did a mojito pitcher, nothing to go crazy over but for the price why not. We also had Guac. I went to the last stop during Taco Tuesdays and was not disappointed. The tacos are very reasonably priced with more than enough protein given on them - no skimping :). The margaritas are also pretty good, but I thought that they could be a little stronger so I would buy a margarita and a shot and add the shot to the margarita (power move I know). I've been here a few times for drinks - it's a chill spot with great drinks and great bartenders. But last night, I was on the couch with my husband...it was 10pm, and we saw a cooking show with great looking chicken wings...and suddenly we both had a craving. And it reminded me that I still hadn't tried the butter chicken wings at The Last Stop. We put on our shoes and went and it the best thing I did this week! The Indo-American fusion of chicken wings with their (INCREDIBLE) butter sauce is an absolute hit. The wings were large, succulent and fried to perfection and I made sure no sauce was left behind. We also got a side of chips and guacamole- a hefty portion and absolutely fresh and delicious. The service once walking into the establishment was terrible as no host at the door but the making it worse the bartenders took forever to serve me and my guest. From the moment my guest and I walked in, we were completely ignored. We waited an unreasonably long time without anyone acknowledging us or offering assistance. First impressions matter, and this experience was frustrating enough that it ruined the visit. Definitely disappointing for a bar and food establishment. Once seated we were greeted by friendly and welcoming waiter. She was prompt and also gave us some scoop behind her favorite dishes. We order the butter chicken wings, the Last Stop Classic Burger. The butter chicken came out pipping hot! The chicken was super saucy which I appreciate. I dislike dry chicken. I would go back here just for the chicken wings. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited about 15 minutes to even get greeted by our waitress after being seated. The restaurant wasn't busy at all mind you. After we were greeted by our waitress we gave our entire order (cocktails, appetizers and entrees). The garlic Parmesan wings and the Korean flavored fried wings (KTOWN). Each wings has the perfect amount of meat so there was plenty to eat. They were both especially tender and cooked! Not a sight of it being spoiled or undercooked! The garlic Parmesan wings... I give it a 3.9 out of 5. Don't get me wrong! I LOVE GARLIC PARMESAN! it's like they were perfect but I wish I at least had some garlic pieces in it. They seemed a bit too salty but definitely packed garlic flavored. The KTOWN wings 4 out of 5. I came here with a group of three and there was a 90 minute time limit on the tables however it was a slow night and they let us stay. Inside is very lovely nicely decorated. When I walked in and saw the beautiful flowers and vines hanging from the ceiling I knew that it was going to be a good vibe. The bartender was so sweet and even though I was only drinking water, she still offered me a sample of a passionfruit mango margarita, which was delicious. I've had the souvlaki platter, butter chicken and samosas (may not be on the menu anymore). I always get one or the either because I know it will hit the spot and satisfy my craving. They are open late which is great for me, but sometimes you call to place the order and no one picks up and that is frustrating. I don't order in line because on the couple occasions I've done so, I get there and my order hasn't been sent to the kitchen or whatever and I have to wait around for my food to be prepared, so for that reason I take off a star because it's an inconvenience. Anyway I look up the menu through the QR code, most spots are doing this now. My waitress came and told me about some of the menu options. It was Happy Hour so I decided to order a Mojito with some Fish Tacos, Fried Butter Mac and Cheese (it had chicken in the name, but its a mishap on the menu I was told because it came with no chicken) and Masla waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The star was the Mac and Cheese. It was almost better than my own. The spices were Indian spices and it seems thats the kind of food you get here. Asked the bartender to close out & she was saying she needs to "find my tab" and the one I ordered with just clicked the 1 out of 2 tabs open. This place is small...and it wasn't busy. This restaurant unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Upon my arrival . I was greeted by the hostess who was very nice and had my table reserved which set the stage for a promising experience. The ambiance was very warm and had a Cohesive design and décor that was very attractive. I ordered The unlimited Mimosas, The Short stack pancakes , and ALOO BENNY, AND THE BUTTER CHICKEN*. The Mimosa were a big letdown In the beginning. It was super sweet and full of juice but with my modifications per request, in the end the bartender got it right. Being NYCs pancake connoisseur my expectations were pretty high when it came to the pancakes but was completely underwhelmed. First and foremost the pancakes bore no resemblance to their only online portrayal. The pancakes were thin and slightly tough to cut, it tasted as if the pancake mix were from a box. However, the Aloo Benny was win , savory and flavorful, aside from the English muffin been tough to cut through. I was also very impressed with the hollandaise sauce, It was rich and buttery and the poached egg was perfectly cooked. The butter chicken was decent but definitely an acquired taste.
