I am disgusted and frustrated. On November 29,2023 I Ordered 3 Patties. 2 chicken and 1 beef. I feel like it says a lot about an establishment if you can get beef patties wrong because You can't go wrong with that right? (Please refer to the pictures and videos) The Meat was old and the crust was super hard like it was left out there to dehydrate. The meat inside was congealed. But the patty itself was hot. When I called to find an understanding, a woman answered the phone and was so rude. Told me to come back to talk to the manager. I don't like making reviews so easily so I went to go talk to the manager, they said he was not there. So I called everyday for 5 days and they refused to give the phone to the manager. I'm leaving this here all to say I got food poisoning the next day. Please do better with your food and especially with your waiters. I went out to Karibbean Krave yesterday with my husband and our friend. The place was dead when we got there and the bouncer was acting like he didn't want to let us in. Then he charged us at the door mind you it's a total of 6 in my group, the people inside didn't want to do any work, it was 1 girl behind the bar that was doing everything (orders, drinks, and everything else). The bouncer is no longer charging people at the door after we were charged to get in, there was a girl that didn't want to do anything, she had an attitude for every little thing that was asked of her. The food took forever to come out and the drinks were no good. This was a place we used to come to after work or just for some fun as a group but after yesterday they have lost us as customer. We were surprised to see how big the restaurant is inside with a massive bar, giant TVs for sporting games, a fog machine for some reason, and blasting music on a Friday evening. My friend and I could barely hear each other at times. It was quite a hassle to pick up just two bags: we were sent from place to place, and ended up waiting around 35 minutes for a meal that the restaurant knew we had placed in advance. Even if we had ordered then and there, 35 minutes is quite a wait. To top it off, the waitress was rather rude and brash. I was not a fan of the fog or blasting music since I started experiencing palpitations towards the end as I waited for so long in an environment not suitable for myself (normally I would not assess the ambiance for a quick takeout order, but since we were waiting so long inside, it felt appropriate to). They also packaged the food oddly, i.e. one box's lid clearly did not fit, so they just wrapped it in a ton of plastic wrap. Considering there was a curry inside, a warning might have been nice to be very careful during transport. When we finally got the food, we were impressed by the very generous portion and a part of that was of course the discounted rate from the app. Our platters came with a big serving of rice and peas, steamed cabbage, plantains, and chicken curry. I did not enjoy the plantains, which did not have so much flavor and tasted very stale. The rice and peas with the chicken curry was delightful on the other hand! The meat was so tender and savory due to the rich, warm spices in the curry, and the rice and peas were well seasoned, albeit a little clumpy. The veggies were lightly seasoned and very fresh, and still retained a nice crunch. The food was rather good, especially for the price we paid, but I don't think I would return for regular price given the negatives of the experience unfortunately. read more

So, I stumbled upon this restaurant on my way home from work. I took a different route and happened to walk past and take a peak inside. It was still early when I stopped by, so I decided to come back on the weekend to sit and eat. I still ended up coming pretty early (5pm) in which the restaurant was empty, and I was the only patron inside besides the staff. A few people trickled in and sat at the bar, but the weather was also pretty bad, so I can see why there were more takeout orders than patrons. The restaurant has a big bar area with a great selection of signature cocktails and frozen drinks. The seating is also pretty nice and spacious. There are large screen TVs in the bar area for the sports lovers and Jamaican music blaring from the speakers. They also do a brunch and day party on the weekends, which I might have to stop by for. I ordered the fried shrimp which the entrees don't come with anything so you have to order the sides separately which I didn't care for. I had fried shrimp, rice & peas, and Mac & cheese. I also had a Hennessey colada, which was the highlight of my meal :) The shrimp was a little oily and not as crispy as I would have liked. The peas and rice didn't have that carribean flair, but they topped it with some stew chicken gravy, which gave it flavor because it was lacking, and I've had better Mac & cheese. Visually, the mac & cheese looked good but not something I would order again. I wasn't wowed by the food but still had a pleasurable experience. The food was AMAZING! and i mean every word of it. We asked the waiter to go get the Chef so we could compliment him personally. Thats how amazing it was. We live in long island so the food selections arent tha great. This is now my new favorite spot and will be taking the hour drive all the time. I really felt as if I were back on the islands eating that great food. I had to order some to go. The waiter was very nice and explained everything we asked about the food with a smile on his face. Came here for the first time on a weekday afternoon with my boyfriend and his friend which his friend had recommended because "it's a vibe and drinks are good" but when we got there the place was completely empty so okay no problem didn't bother us that just mean we should be served quickly. Unfortunately that wasn't the case the female working at the bar gave us menus and walked off. She kept walking back and forth to the bar to the back and at times would just stay in the back which we could see since the place is so small now she did this for a good 15 mins. I tell the lady we're ready to order she takes our drink orders and instead of making our drinks she continues to walk back and forth to the back. Now it's already 30 mins no drinks no food which is absolutely unacceptable so we left. read more

For a business that opened long after the pandemic started, they're not doing too bad. Dine in only for now. As some one who lived in the Caribbean for a few years, I can say that their flavors are legit. I tired the curry chicken with with rice n peas, and plantains. For one, it's Mother's Day weekend soooo.. me ordering carry out was bound to take a minute. And also, I mean I wasn't really in a rush and the vibe at this spot is amazing (have a few drinks at the bar while you wait for your food) I watched the game and the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. Pick up and take out are usually how I order at K K. I finally decided to dine there, I ordered the escovitch and my friend the barbecue chicken with mash potatoes. My meal was ok, but my friends chicken was cold and the chicken parts were the bones of the bird. The mash was cold. When my friend asked for the better part of the chicken and to be served hot mash, the plate was returned with still cold mash and same parts of the bird. The owner still charged us for a meal that was returned and a no show from the chef who never came from the back in an empty store to hear my Friend out. Wings were amazing only reason they get two stars service for a dead spot is absurd secondly I ordered a beer first one you can tell was transferred from cold to hot to cold again and had a nasty skunk taste which I know from personal experience spot is small with a fog machine for no reason with people outside trying to sponsor another night. I noticed this restaurant when it first opened because I love Caribbean food. Stewed chicken and oxtails are my comfort foods. However I didn't buy takeout from them until today. I was waiting at the bus stop and a waft of the aroma from the restaurant caused me to walk away from the bus stop and crossed the street to order a takeout. I was not disappointed. The stewed chicken order was very good. It is well seasoned with a little pepper to wake your taste buds. I'm big on customer service and the young lady who took my order has an excellent demeanor. She didn't disappoint. Many restaurants employees are not welcoming, this young lady was very pleasant and polite. I intend to visit again. They are a little cheap with the napkins. I received one napkin. The food container is perfect but one flimsy napkin is not enough. If the food is good and it is, people will need to wipe their hands even if the food is finger licking good! read more
