I was pretty shocked to find this bar in this area of the Bronx but I has so happy. It's like a merge between Hispanics and the Irish. They have the offerings you'd find at an Irish pub (with some delicious wings) and then they add things like tostones with perfect garlic mojo that are delicious and complement the wings so good. The drinks are what you can get at any other pub and the service is nice but sometimes can be a little bit slow. When I went it was afternoon so it wasn't full, but there were a couple of locals there and some good music being played on the speakers while the games were on the tvs. All in all, I can't wait to come back if I find myself in the area again. I love going to this place weather it is to celebrate a birthday or grab a few beers and food. The foods my favorite thing. The wings and sliders are great but the weekly specials like my shrimp avocado salad or a nice t-bone steak. The drinks are great and the people always friendly. A must try. This is review of their chicken wings only. I've never had anything else on the menu nor have I ever drank here so I can't rate their drinks. These are the best garlic parmesan wings I've ever had. Their black ice (I think it's a mixture of garlic parmesan and Thai chili sauce) wings are also delicious. When it comes to Neighbor bars McDermott's takes the cake, the bartenders are friendly and social. The regulars are genuine hard-working people just out for a few drinks. The cook is excellent : Burgers, Wings, Steaks, salads I've enjoyed them all. Actually called McDermotts now for a few years now. This place is pretty awesome. Pocket friendly prices on beverages and really great Wings. If I want wings, and I dont want to make them myself I always trust that they will make some crispy, juicy wings. I always order either the garlic spicy wings or the bbq. The regular buffalo wings seem under seasoned to me. The kitchen is open late probably until like 1-2 am. and its a great convenience for a night out! Lots of police officers, on and off duty come here to eat, but that doesn't bother me ! Warning, I've had there Bloody Mary's once and it was horrible! I asked if they make the mix themselves and the bartender told me they did. I think it's better if they buy it ! Literally my only bad experience there! I still love them! read more

Tbh the food was good and the drinks were good we had a nice time until the waitress told us that the manager was complaining about us to her and that our gay friend was dancing on one of us that was sitting in a booth. Honestly there was people standing by themselves and dancing to the music. They play reggaeton and hip hop like Megan the stallion and cardi b so we were all dancing to it. It was very weird after that. She only told us there was a problem after we had paid the check so to me. A lot of us were taken aback. Turned a nice night into an uncomfortable night.
