McDermott's Pub - Happy Birthday DJ Legend. Come out and show some love tonight for the Best DJ at Mac Dermotts - Pubs Near Me - Bronx, New York

I was pretty shocked to find this bar in this area of the Bronx but I has so happy. It's like a merge between Hispanics and the Irish. They have the offerings you'd find at an Irish pub (with some delicious wings) and then they add things like tostones with perfect garlic mojo that are delicious and complement the wings so good. The drinks are what you can get at any other pub and the service is nice but sometimes can be a little bit slow. When I went it was afternoon so it wasn't full, but there were a couple of locals there and some good music being played on the speakers while the games were on the tvs. All in all, I can't wait to come back if I find myself in the area again. Def recommend them! read more

I love going to this place weather it is to celebrate a birthday or grab a few beers and food. The foods my favorite thing. The wings and sliders are great but the weekly specials like my shrimp avocado salad or a nice t-bone steak. The drinks are great and the people always friendly. A must try. This is review of their chicken wings only. I've never had anything else on the menu nor have I ever drank here so I can't rate their drinks. These are the best garlic parmesan wings I've ever had. Their black ice (I think it's a mixture of garlic parmesan and Thai chili sauce) wings are also delicious. I always order for pickup and the the staff seems friendly enough during our brief interaction. read more

When it comes to Neighbor bars McDermott's takes the cake, the bartenders are friendly and social. The regulars are genuine hard-working people just out for a few drinks. The cook is excellent : Burgers, Wings, Steaks, salads I've enjoyed them all. Plus where else in the Bronx can you try Jack Daniels straight from the barrel. it can get pretty packed at times but it's worth it. Come through and see for yourself. read more

If you are there anytime must have a shot of the Barrel Jack. Bartenders are great and drinks are made just right. Family friendly as they have tables in the front and back room. Great live music on event nights and Bluetooth Juke Box allows you to ay your favorites without leaving your seat...definitely recommend! read more

I've been a patron for over 10 years. The ambiance is awesome. The food is great! Their wings are the best! Only place you can get Jack Daniel's out of the Barrel it was aged in. Must try it. Won't disappoint. As for the staff - Dee, Niabi, Elenor to name a few, they are the best. Always greet you with a smile and the service is outstanding. Owner Mike D will make time to greet you and make you feel at home. If your looking to party this is the place. They have a live DJ on certain nights. They also have a room to host events along with the catering. I would recommend this place to family, friends and strangers alike. read more

Garlic Parmesan Thai Chili Wings are amazing! Many pubs have many flavors but most don't live up to their name. These go beyond words. Ask them to make your Calamari Cajun if you like spicy; fresh and cooked just right. Alex is a great server and Dee is a terrific manager and both will guide you to what you will like. read more

I've been coming for years for the wings and burgers really delicious and fast service.

Best wings this side of the Bronx!!! Love their variety, delivery was quick & friendly. Ordering over the phone was a breeze! Can't comment on the other menu items as I've only experienced their wings. They get a 5 star rating from me there. Kept it up ya'll. read more

Best service, drinks, burger and fries, which are my favorite. Cool place to vibe with friends and meet new ones. On occasions they have live music with awesome djs. The place can also be reserved for special celebrations and it's conveniently located, also accessible via public transportation. Just good vibes every time I go there and most importantly the crowd is fun, mature, and not rowdy. Check them out! read more

Actually called McDermotts now for a few years now. This place is pretty awesome. Pocket friendly prices on beverages and really great Wings. If I want wings, and I dont want to make them myself I always trust that they will make some crispy, juicy wings. I always order either the garlic spicy wings or the bbq. The regular buffalo wings seem under seasoned to me. The kitchen is open late probably until like 1-2 am. and its a great convenience for a night out! Lots of police officers, on and off duty come here to eat, but that doesn't bother me ! Warning, I've had there Bloody Mary's once and it was horrible! I asked if they make the mix themselves and the bartender told me they did. I think it's better if they buy it ! Literally my only bad experience there! I still love them! read more

Been coming to this bar since I moved to the Bronx. The wings are THE BEST HANDS down. So many options of sauces it's overwhelming at times to decide. Ordered here during the pandemic lockdown for take out; food was perfect and done in 15 minutes. The ladies working here still providing great customer service. I can't wait until they're fully open to sit at the bar and continue enjoying the wings. read more

The food here is horrible. I ordered a burger and it was a tasteless patty with no salt or pepper, iceberg lettuce, A touch bun and the fries were dry and thick. I couldn't even finish my food. Never again! read more

I cannot properly express my complete distain for this establishment. The bartender was completely ignorant while blatantly expressing negativity. The food wasn't worth the money, how can everything be overcooked to the point that it's dry and you're parched? read more

As usual very down to earth and very casual. The Bronx needs more pubs like this one. The food is plentiful, reasonably priced and the beers are served in ice cold pint glasses. The A/C is crisp and cold, perfect for July and August in NYC. And in case the owner reads this...I overheard a customer say Christine the bartender is the best. I have to say I agree ;) read more
