I'm a little reluctant to rate the place given the fact that I went there with a bunch of friends and they bought pitchers of Jamaican rum punch. The rum punch was delicious and believe me they did not hold back on the rum. We were a party of 8 so we basically had run of the space. We had a great time. I noticed there was quite an overage females and not many men at this place aside from my group. I believe there was only one other man in the whole joint. The wings were decent. Funny thing, we went there for food but stayed to get our libation requirements exceeded. The music was really good thanks to the Sunday DJ.

I went to Kutty recently. They were really great about following COVID guidelines. The entire staff had masks on. Ambiance: 4/5 I like the lighting and the music. There's an area in the back that seems like it would be great for parties or small gatherings. FOOD: 3/5 Lobster Fried Rice - My friend had the lobster fried rice and loved it, but was not given anything to crack the lobster claws open. They (my friend) did it with their hands and it fell on the floor ... so there's that! King Surf - I would not order it again. - The steak was very dry. - The potatoes were not mashed well at all (super lumpy) and were just OK. - The shrimp was just very salty. - Crab meat... can't really comment on the quality bc I'm not a fan of crab meat. - Overpriced My friend said it best: That's what I get for ordering restaurant food at a lounge though lol. Parking: 2/5 - It was hard to find street parking. I wish there was a parking lot, but that's city life for you! So overall, I say... close to 3/5

The food was great !! Good proportions sizes of food for the price! Price is decent very reasonable. The drinks are good as well and not watered down. And the music plays Hip Hop, R&B n Caribbean in the spot pretty much a little bit of everything. Came on Taco Tuesday Happy Hour was from 5-7pm for the margaritas. But other drinks were pretty decent priced $13-18.

I came here on a Thursday evening. I made a reservation upon arrival I was placed at bar. Nothing wrong with bar seating, but the entire restaurant was empty. The bartender with blonde braids was attentive and nice. I ordered the pasta and honestly it wasn't good. It was supposed to be Rasta pasta, but it was watery. After three forks, I stopped eating it. The bartender was attentive and noticed my displeasure. She asked to take my food away so they can remake it. I had the Henny punch which was good. I came home and tried to eat the remade pasta and it was worse then first. This didn't have enough sauce. I could see the cheese and taste it. Rasta sauce should be a smooth consistency. Ive heard great things about this place, so maybe it was bad day.

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Me and my girls came here on Tuesday night and we ordered drinks during happy hour which ends at 7pm on Tuesday. We had Blue Island Margaritas which was 2 for $14. It hit the spot! The food is always on point as well. Ambiance is welcoming and the decor is modern. I will definitely be back ... probably Friday!

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.
