Went this Sunday for brunch. Cute place with niece decor and backyard. Full bar. Big enough enough for events. They take reservations. They have boozy brunch for $30 plus entree. My friend and I decided not to stay because the menu is underwhelming. The breakfast items doesn't include any sides and not too many choices. The food menu contains Ox Tail and Jellof rice but over priced; $35-40 you're looking at $60+ with the unlimites drinks for brunch. I appreciate the verity in cultural dishes. Cocktails are $17 which is standard. I would recommend it. I like the backyard space. It's out of the way for me an hour plus but anyone willing to try should def do so. read more

So we went to this place because it was recommended by the place we were staying. When you walk in there's bar sitting and a couple tables to eat your food there. You wouldn't know there's an entire decent size patio in the back with tvs/projectors. There's a lot more seats back there. They stay open until 2a. The kitchen closes at midnight. We had the chicken and oxtails. The fried chicken is not disappoint. They had great flavor. The oxtails were tender and had a spice to it that I enjoyed. I'm guessing the oxtails were to come with cabbage but I received more peppers than cabbage, but I also ordered right before they closed the kitchen. My only complaint is paying $15 for a shot of Jameson is expensive. I'm from Chicago so not sure if that's the going rate in the Bronx. read more

I really enjoyed my meal here! All the food was good, but I especially loved the patties and the golden brownie (it's topped with cashew butter which is so decadent). The drinks were also good (but strong!). They have a ton of deals and specials here, including free shots during karaoke every Wednesday. They also have a big happy hour menu (includes food and drinks). The service was a bit slow, it took about 1.5 hours total. It's also definitely a more party vibe, which is totally fine, but if you're looking for something chill you might want to stay in the front of the bar as opposed to the back dining area. read more

My partner is a content creator and he was invited by Inine Bistro to try the food. He had never been there, nor had he tried the food before. Me being an elite and visited twice (most recently 3 weeks ago), I gave him great feedback about my experiences based on the Elite events. I had always wanted to return on a non-elite occasion to see what it's like, especially for their weekday events. He agreed to try them out and we were off to the races for a Thursday night dinner. Before I go further, I'd like to preface by saying, he was offered a complimentary meal as part of his review of the restaurant. I attended as his +1 thus, my meal was also comped. As a patron and Yelp elite, I was not offered anything in exchange for my personal feedback and this review is solely about my experience. Aside from the management he connected with, there is no one I'm aware of that knew I was a Yelp elite either. Now onto our experience. Upon entering, we were welcomed and seated in the back/lounge area. We stopped by on a Thursday evening which to my surprise, was karaoke night. There were also specials, including $1 wings! Love it! The backlounge area is a calm, cozy space with lounge chairs and dining tables. It is also dimly lit with a few TVs and a projection screen on the wall, while a nice variety of music plays in the background. Moreover, menus are provided using tablets which makes things very efficient. Karaoke did not start until about 7pm. There was'nt a lot of participation but the host was a great sport and came around welcoming folks to get involved. They seemed to have a nice selection of songs and the vibe was free of judgement. As an added bonus, anyone who participated was offered a free shot. For food, I started out with the veggie Inine I've had them before and they were consistent - the veggies were sauteed perfectly, the crust was hot and crispy, and they were seasoned just right. The only difference was that these were much bigger than I'm used to. During the Elite events they were mini sized. For the entree, I went for the rasta pasta with jerk salmon. The pasta was cooked nicely and the sauce was deliciously creamy with a slight kick of Jerk spice and perfectly sauteed veggies tossed in. On the other hand though, I was'nt amazed with the salmon. It's a very nice portion of a skinless filet that has been grilled with a dry-rub jerk spice. It had a pretty moist flesh and the spice was mild. Overall, it was'nt bad, it tasted alright, just nothing spectacular. If I had to suggest improvements, I would've preferred it with a crispy skin. I'm also not a huge fan of the dry-rub seasoning, I like a wet marinade. With the dry rub, it was more like a blackened salmon versus jerk but I think it makes sense since the rasta pasta is already moist. My partner had the oxtails with a side of jollof rice and salad. I took a piece of oxtail, it was good and consistent with the tasting I had last year. My sample of the Jollof was slightly peppery but overall ok. I've only had Ghanian jollof in the past, so I'm not sure I'm experienced enough to compare it with anything but it definitely tasted authentic to what I would think of when it comes to the broadness of African cuisine. To complete our meal, I had a slice of the New York style cheesecake with the berry hibiscus sauce. Unfortunately, the berry sauce was not tasty and the texture of the cheesecake was too soft. I would definitely skip it in the future. As for drinks, my partner had the 'One Love' cocktail. It's a huge drink that's really meant for two people but I'm pregnant. He tried to finish it on his own but couldn't lol. Finally, in an effort to support the business, I purchased some BBQ beef Inine patties to take home and I left a tip as a thank you. In terms of service, the staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming. Furthermore, they were knowledgable when it came to the menu. No matter what question we had, they were able to answer us and offer recommendations, which I appreciated. The speed of service was also great with the exception of the desserts which took some time. All-in-all though, it was a good dining experience. I was really pleased to come back and try them outside of the Yelp experience and honestly, they did not disappoint. I would return in the future and I would recommend to others. I am especially looking forward to their Taco Tuesday. The vibe is an ideal for an after-work drinks or meal, date night, or solo time. read more

We went to @ininebistro in the Bronx for their Wednesday night special (karaoke, $1 wings and happy hour), and it did not disappoint! For a Wednesday night, the place was packed. People were having a goooood time. Plus, if you sing, you get free shots....just do it for the plot Drinks of the night: Moscow Mule - Ginger beer, vodka, lime juice Hispaniola - Dark rum, Curaçao, lime juice, cane sugar syrup, and ginger syrup We started with the Honey Chipotle Glaze Wings which were crispy, flavorful, and super filling (minimum order of 6). Then came the Lollipop Lamb Chops Maquis Style. It was soo juicy, tender, perfectly grilled and served with couscous. 10/10 recommend trying this main. We also tried the Island Oxtails, also cooked to perfection with coconut rice and cabbage stew on the side. At this point, we had no room but who could say no to dessert so we tried their Tres Leches Cake which was solid, but I'd love to explore another dessert next time. Overall, if you're looking for good food & a fun crowd, this is the spot. read more

This place may seem small at first glance, but I love that it opens up in the back with a huge TV/projector area and plenty of lounge seating, making it a great spot to chill. I remember my first time coming here during Covid and didn't even know that there was a back area option. The oxtails had a different flavor than your typical Caribbean restaurants, but they were still really good. The lamb was surprisingly delicious as well, which I wasn't expecting. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, with lovely drinks and hookah options to enhance your time here. The music selection also adds to the overall experience, making it a great place to hang out. Now, let's talk about the food: the wings were cooked to perfect crispiness, and the lamb sliders were absolutely unforgettable. I'd come back just for those alone. This place is a Gem! So, everything that I said about the place previously was true. This time my experience was just much better thank god! Someone told me that there was a patio space in the back which I wasn't introduced to the first and last time I came. So this time the waitress asked which seating do I prefer. Once I said patio she walked us toward the back where the liveliness was. The place was cute and welcoming music was pumping drinks flowing and everyone was chill on this Sunday around 8pm I ordered a rum punch with a burger and fries. The burger was seasoned well and it was juicy. So freaking good! My friend ordered a lemon drop and wings with a cream brûlée. From the looks of her wings and as far as what she told me, they tasted like Everything! The crem brûlée was also GREAT! I have nothing but good things to say this time around and I'm happy I decided to give it a 2nd chance! Will be returning :) read more

Servers were nice is all I can say! Party of 3 ALL of our food was BURNT! ALL the food. They swapped out one of the burnt sliders, the 2nd one was over cooked, but not burnt. Idk who went there and had this amazing food. But it was not there when we visited. Just look at the pictures provided. I ate the inside of the patty and left the dough, it was so over cooked. Fish tacos were previously frozen, which would.have been ok had they not fried them. They even burnt the slider buns, how u burn bread smh. This needs to be evaluated by the inspectors. Then they added a 20% service fee for using my card without mentioning it prior because we had cash? Hope it went towards the tip. International Nine has been on my list of places to try for some time now. Back in May, plans were made to grab dinner and catch up, @ another location. When I arrived and they were closed, I was in search for a backup and I remembered my list. Late afternoon/early evening I was lucky enough to find a non-metered spot across the street. We entered and was seated immediately, as the place was pretty empty at first. I ordered the Nephew Punch (the first of 2) to start along with a couple of apps- Vegetable Patties & Firecracker Gulf Shrimp Tempura. The punch was tasty and the patties and shrimp tempura were nice starters. In addition I ordered the Grilled Jerk Shrimp Taco & Grilled Paprika Chicken Taco to try prior to my entrée of the Kingston Caesar Salad w/ Jerk Salmon. My dinning companion ordered the Kingston Caesar Salad w/ Jerk Shrimp. Of course by the time my salad came out I was full. Both tacos were delicious and flavorful but the most memorable star was the jerk salmon, I had to try it before I packed it to-go. Light, flaky, juicy with a well balance of both sweet and spicy flavor components. The croutons also had a slight sweet coconut flavor which was a nice added touch. The dining area itself is not that big, but they made great decor decisions with international clocks and hand painted murals. Even though the dinning space is small they do have a seated bar as well as outdoor space in the back. As the night proceeded foot track increased, for the event that was held in the back space. The food was great and the staff was pleasant, however at times the services was very spotty even though it was not busy. We were the only ones dining initially. Also I was little put off because we were seated by a table occupied by someone with authority and a definite managerial position (based on his interaction with staff and the laptop) who had his shoes off and did not deem it appropriate to put them on after we were seated or when our service started. It was a bad impression to say the least. Overall I enjoyed my food and I am happy I was able to give them a try. I will return but I will make sure it's around the same time (early). With a small dinning space and slow service I can only imagine when they are busy. Just A Note: The Jerk Salmon was amazing! We ordered an extra piece to take home with our salads that we couldn't even attempt to eat because we were already too full. read more

Great location on Bruckner Ave! So you can hop around between restaurants and bars. The music playlist is a total vibe. Even without a DJ the music is great to vibe to. It's a cute secluded ambiance. Feels like a little escape outside of the Bronx. Wait staff is extremely friendly. Loved the Jollof rice and the sweet plantains. The Lagos wings were amazing- definitely spicy. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The goat stew on the other hand wasn't my favorite. Most of it was bone- barely any meat and if I did have meat, it was very gamy. Aside from all that I truly enjoyed this place. Oh and the drinks- very potent!!! read more

I would give this place a 3 1/2 rating. They usually have little events and a live Dj which is dope. They also have hookah at night. The food is decent, I always hear people crave about the salmon burger but I have yet to try it. One of my go to places for good food and vibes in the Bronx right before you get on the bridge. The food is like a mixture between different islands cuisine. My first time trying shrimp and grits and I loved the richness of it, there is fried okra, peppers, and it just reminds me of visiting Texas and the soul aspect of the food. Now, the Korean bbq steak gave me more of a different vibe not Korean but I would have loved it more with a stew. Then, the drink was strong according to my significant other so if you like rum punch with a kick this is it! Also, there is beautiful art on the wall, a dj, and a back patio that is well lit for the winter. Otherwise, our server was a nice young man, attentive and cool. The prices are not bad and there is a digital menu. The bathroom is clean with no issues. Unfortunately, I was too full for dessert. Go here like now and thank me later! read more

I dined here a few months ago on a holiday. Labor Day maybe. The ambiance was beyond what I expected. I'm not from the city, but I definitely traveled there a lot this little gem in the "Hipster District" of the Bronx's was definitely everything I needed on a holiday. My company and I enjoyed the Bahamas Trip Crab Cake for an appetizer along with a bottle of champagne for Mimosas to start off. For the appetizer she enjoyed the Georgia's peach Chicken and Waffles which I tasted a bit of and it was splendid. I really enjoyed the peach honey syrup. It added a nice touch to the Vanilla waffles and the crunchiness of the chicken. I enjoyed The Black Samurai Hanger steak Suya spice and eggs. Although my meal was deliciously prepared, I was expecting a more eloquent preparation of the eggs. The slab of slice cheese on top gave it more of a fast food feel as opposed to what we received prior to. Overall the meal was extremely tasty. We ended our visit with hookah which is something I enjoy after and nice brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return. read more

This place use to be a favorite but it has now become just average at best...I don't mind paying for good tasting food but the chef sucks...the service is attentive ...the food is not hot when served and way to salty to hid the taste......Beware of the 4% surcharge when using any credit or debit card!!!! In this cashless society they penalize you for card usage.....No Apple Pay or other cashless method...REALLY??? Been wanting to come here for a minute, and finally had the opportunity to come. I came for brunch and it was a cute vibe. We sat outside in the garden and it was cute but just a tad bit hot with only the fans to cool the area. The drinks were really good, but the strawberry lemon drop was my favorite. For my meal, I had the Korean BBQ steak and eggs which was very tasty. No complaints here. My only critique regarding the food was that the brunch menu was a little limited. A few more items on the menu would be perfect. Despite a semi-private birthday going on and a nearly packed area, the service was a 10/10. The hookah was perfect, and not too harsh. We got Love 66, which is my go to. The DJ was great and played a mix of r&b, dancehall, and afrobeats. I would definitely return. I have to try the jollof rice for sure. read more

I ordered their salad with jerk salmon for protein and finalllyyyy, I found a restaurant that gives you portions that will FEED YOU. It was generous, and matched the price. It was beautifully plated for a salad and came with fried sweet plantains, fresh toasty crunchy croutons (sweet bread?), the lettuce was crispy and possibly romaine lettuce. I headed back to iNine Bistro on Wed 2/21/24 for their Black Restaurant Week Menu and Wednesday Karaoke. Before I go any further, I must say iNine still gets 10's across the board from me. Ambiance - The decor is absolutely beautiful with so many cute photo ops, flowers and beautiful murals adoring the walls. INine is short for International-Nine so the decor reflects different cultures from around the world. It gives a classy upscale vibe with a "young" spirit. Due to this iNine is perfect for everyone from a group celebrating a 21st birthday to those trying to get their grooves back. The backyard is HUGE! Tables aren't right on top of each and hookah is allowed! I already know this summer the brunch parties back there are going to be EPIC! Don't say I didn't put you on first! The Karaoke show was amazing - it was very well organized with a signup sheet and the DJ was great at presenting the lyrics and music. The host were entertaining and made their way around to each table to engage with the crowd. The karaoke was so great my anti social significant other decided get up on stage and performed 99 problems by Jay Z! I've never seen him do karaoke in the 6 years I've known him so you know the vibes were right. Service - Our server was amazing and constantly came out to check on us. Not one plate empty plate was ever left on the table. Food came out quick and HOT. You can tell everything is made per order. Additionally, the staff are very funny and personable so you feel like you're at home. They don't seem overwhelmed and seem genuinely happy to be there. FOOD - It's been a long time since I've been able to give food perfect 10/10 scores but iNine Bistro got it. You can tell all of the food is seasoned with high quality flavors which is hard to come by these days. As a part of the Black Restaurant week menu, I got the Beef BBQ Patties as an appetizer which had the perfect balance between BBQ and spice flavors. We also got the BBQ Hennessy Wings and the Montego Jerk Lime wings which were both PERFECT. I'm not huge on spicy food the Jerk Lime Wings were an even blend of sweet and spicy. For our entrees, I got the Island Oxtail with coco-rice and cabbage. I haven't had oxtail that delicious in a minute - it was spicy, flavorful and literally falling off the bone. S/o got the iNine burger which was delicious. The red peppers mixed with the sauce on it gives it a perfect touch. The angus burger was of high quality and cooked to perfection. For dessert, I had the hibiscus berry cheesecake and it was perfect. The hibiscus sauce was amazing. He had the Gold Coast brownie and it was super moist. And all of this food (minus the drink) was only $44 per person as apart of their Black Restaurant Week by the Black Restaurant Coalition. Keep an eye out for the next restaurant week!! Drink- we had the One Love drink which is a shareable drink made with Wray & Nephew run. It is HUGE as we struggled to finish it and y'all know I never leave a cup unturned LOL. it was well mixed and strong without the liquor overpowering the flavor. It was so big and strong we didn't feel the need to order anything else to drink. And we definitely left feeling nice. I already see myself becoming part of the furniture at iNine - Let's prepare them to be sick of me LOL jk. But that's how great it is. I must express my utter disappointment with my recent visit. Upon arriving for brunch at 2 PM, I found the venue nearly empty yet no host was present to seat me. I had to go to the bartender to have her retrieve the host. After finally getting seated, my meal took an astonishing 37 minutes to arrive. I ordered the shrimp and grits and Chicken and waffes. While the DJ played awesomely , the food was a big letdown--lumpy grits, over-seasoned shrimp, and cold hard waffles. The chicken, though well-seasoned, was tough. I hate to give this restaurant such low stars because i have been here twice before and the food was a lot better! I went there for brunch on a Sunday. The food this time around i would give it a 3/10. We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken wings, the classic burger, fries, plantain and bacon. The chicken for the chicken and waffles wasn't seasoned and the waffles were hard and dry. The person i was with didn't like their burger and said it didn't taste fresh.
