    Salmon, potatoes, collard greens.
    Miss C.

This restaurant was over-hyped. Went during Harlem Week and they have a "no hats" rule, but apparently only for men. Also, they serve canned sodas. Got the salmon plate with "collard greens" and mashed potatoes. Plus oxtail empanadas and fries. It was overall bad. It should note STEAMED collard greens. Because that's all it was. Lightly cooked leaves. The empanada was just a little slightly seasoned meat in crust. The fries were really good though. They also serve canned sodas. I know. Servers were polite, and loudly enjoyed football games on TV. There were no follow up visits to refill water or check on food quality or correctness. It certainly didn't warrant an automatic 20% gratuity. Overall, the price doesn't match the food quality or atmosphere provided.

Amazing staff They were kind enough to seat a party of 9 last minute. Everyone was great. Can't wait to go back. I would definitely recommend.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with my girls for brunch. What a time!! The crowd was dope. Grown and sexy. No one under 40 there. Music was everything! Drinks were strong as fuck. Service was impeccable! And the food wasn't that bad. It was okay. We ordered the mussels which I only had about 4 of. The scallops that weren't that great! Mac n cheese I thought was yummy. Shrimp and grits came out but friend ended up taking that home. The fish tacos were delicious . Some friends ordered chicken and waffles. That was aight also. Had a really really good time here! Would most definitely come back. The owner Ted was also so very accommodating to our group!

Staff is super nice and attentive and I always love the Harlem vibe. Folks are always laid back and welcoming. I love that about this place. I've had the sliders and Mac n cheese before, which were good. This visit, I tried the deviled eggs again, and they were well seasoned and the bacon just perfect. The steak I ordered was rough, however. I ordered it medium, but the cut was a terrible cut with a lot of sinew and fat, and the temperature ranged from well done on the outer edge to rare toward the middle. There was enough sinew I stopped eating. The mashed potatoes were under seasoned and the spinach overly salty. I had a couple drinks, which were pretty good and they give you a fun little shot to go along with each drink. That being said, I've had good food from here, and I would come here again for the staff and vibes alone, just don't order the steak!

This place was a great spot for dinner to kick off our trip to NYC this past summer. We arrived on a later flight in LGA and had booked a cozy Air BnB in Harlem, and this place was right up the street. It was a bit of a rainy night, but inside this place was lively! We were seated immediately and offered drinks and menus. The menu was full of delicious options, classic and elevated soul food, we knew we'd found the right place immediately! We ordered some apps for the table, a couple of goat empanadas, and the parmesan truffle fries. These came out in a reasonable time, fresh and hot. Both were delicious! We found ourselves doing whatever we could to sop up the extra truffle oil with the fries, and the empanadas were gone in a flash. For dinner, I went for the lobster mac and cheese in a cast iron skillet, and wow. That was definitely the right decision! The mac was creamy, but had that perfect golden cheese layer ontop with crunchy buttery breadcrumbs. I found pieces of meaty lobster throughout, and the portion left me full. While there, we had a fun time mingling with the locals, and were offered a few drinks! It truly was the perfect place to take in the life of the city. We would not hesitate to come here again on a future trip.

Upon Entering , there was a gentlemen I would say he was maitred. After all he wore the hat of security/host. Needless to say the gentleman was very nice and professional, I felt welcomed to enter the establishment. With that being said First impression was a HIT!! The ambiance was romantically amazing, with perfectly dimmed lighting. I was actually there for a book launch party, While waiting to order drinks at the bar I was handed a menu for appetizers.l, even though I wasn't very hungry. One could not resist trying at least two appetizers. I ordered the salmon bites and deviled egg with crispy turkey bacon. One may wonder why deviled egg, well to be honest not everyone can make a delicious deviled egg. After one bite, unbeknownst to me was perfectly whipped yoke with just the perfect amount of seasoning stuffed into the egg white and the crunch of the crispy turkey bacon was a matchless topper. I was already fully convinced that I would probably enjoy the salmon bites as well, and yes the salmon bites. They were visually enticing, the taste did not disappoint. They were very juicy with a light buttery sweet sauce, a perfect prelude to a delicious meal. The Row Harlem did not disappoint, Oh I almost failed to mention, the as close to perfection you can get Long Island Iced Tea. I highly recommend the Row and plan for on returning soon. $$$ Affordable.

First time and first stop in Harlem and it definitely set the tone for the rest of our visit to NYC. We were warmly welcomed into a really cool, modern space. Dark lighting and decor, but made for a really nice ambiance. Our server was super helpful and recommended some options for us. He raved about the MAC so we had to try it! The Row has super friendly staff that made sure we were well taken care of. We started with an order of the Row Fries, which I could have easily eaten instead of an entre because it was so good! The flavor was amazing and had the perfect texture (not soggy or too dry). I'd return for the fries alone, but the entre was bangin'! I ordered the Jerk MAC. I've had lots of types of MAC over the years, but this was my first with jerk chicken. It was amazing! Creamy, cheesy, spicy. And very filling. As we were leaving, the gentleman manning the door was SO friendly and offered lots of advice on where to get good food in the area. If I go back to Harlem for a visit, I will def. return to The Row!

Asian Wings and the shrimp fried rice. The rice is a new menu item and it was the bomb.
    Latoya W.

First time at The Row. I played it really safe on food selection I ordered the Asian Wings and truffle fries and based on the waiters suggestion we ordered the fried rice that you can add shrimp, chicken, salmon bites too. We added shrimp. The shrimp fried rice was so good so I am definitely glad we got it. The wings and fries were great too. The location was cute and accessible. They had a DJ and a decent crowd for a Sunday evening. They do have outdoor seating in the front in back. Also I noticed they have a good happy hour with food and drinks. I will definitely be back to try more food out.

The Row has great food and great ambience whether you are sitting inside, outside or on the back patio. The service is laid back but they take care of you with their attentiveness. I always return back here. Be sure to check them out as it's so worth it. Truly a crown jewel in HARLEM.

    Chicken wings and waffle

Service was great, constantly refilling our waters. We made a reservation, but couldn't sit until the entire party was here. Once 3 of 4 was here though, they still allowed us to sit given the place was rather empty. The food was a mixed bag, but ultimately, they seem to lack flavor. We got the red velvet cornbread with strawberry butter, and it was just fine. Neither was very sweet or flavorful, although the strawberry butter's slight tartness was evident. I got the chicken wings and waffles - a good portion size, which I appreciated. The crazy thing about this is that I thought the wings were cooked just the right amount - crispy skins, and juicy meat in the inside, but the whole thing seemed to like seasoning! They're able to do the hard part of frying it to the ideal texture, but the taste was lacking unfortunately.

I loved everything I had. Really wonderful tastes and very different!

Is this a good place to go for a solo date?

How does the unlimited brunch work? Is it $25 on top of the price of an entre?

Is this a party brunch atmosphere?

No. It is just a good food atmosphere with families and friends. Good music but not the unlimited drinks dancing party.

Unless you know about it, you can easily walk by, given it blends into the general Harlem cityscape, especially during the day. Then at night, especially during the afterhours when I was there, the scene flips and this place becomes turnt up! People were lined up trying to get inside at 0130. The bouncers were searching and patting people down, nothing absurd or overly intrusive. There is a cover charge and they take credit cards for the cover. As you walk inside, the bar in on your right. Keep going and the dancefloor awaits you. It's not that large, but people are generally very courteous. There are a few places to sit, especially in the back in the left corner. That is also where the steps lead you downstairs, presumably to the restroom, which I did not have to use. The vibe is poppin' inside and it is fed by the DJ on a stage in the back, playing Worldbeats, Afropop, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dance Hall, and Soca. They are setup for live bands here. The volume is high, but not uncomfortably or earsplittingly high. The people here are drawn to this vibe and energy. You can dance here all night and the air conditioning and ventilation are of the capacity to keep you and everyone else comfortable. Stick around until closing time at 0400 when everyone starts walking out and the AC nearly turns the Shrine into a refrigerator. For an unassuming place on the outside, it is clear this is a place you can come to with friends or a date if this is your vibe and it's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying this. Prices are reasonable too at the bar. They have a good selection of draught and bottled beer. Guinness on tap was $9 for a pint. They serve up the cocktails too. Four fun and returnworthy stars!

Ordered: Jerk Mushroom and Vegetable Omlete - 5/5 If you've been following me you know i'm not that much of a breakfast person but rest assured The Good Good will be seeing me again. This is what I call a breakfast worth $25. Long story short, the Jerk seasoning changes the game; that is the secret sauce here. It brings out depth and heat to the rest of what you're eating. And then its also incorporated into the potatoes too and with the omlete oozing with juices it just makes the potatoes burst with flavor even more. This was one of those meals that you have to eat slowly because you don't want it to be gone. Service: 5/5 - It was great! Might be a little biased considering that we came right in the morning and a snowstorm just laid waste the night before. So even though I thought ahead and booked a resy safe to say that they were quite accommodating to the 4 of us in the establishment during our service. The tables are quite close together though so be prepared to have that instance where you're actively trying to not easvesdrop the table next too you. The service was super helpful and we went for a few of their most popular dishes. Jerk mushrooms and Brussels sprouts: I'm putting them together because I found similar problems in both. First, they came at room temperature and tasted like they were barely reheated... not a good start. Second, both lacked flavor... tastes very plain. Last - just my opinion - I don't think the ingredients in both appetizers worked well together. I didn't enjoy either of them. Codfish fritters: disappointing. A very small serving of fritters that tastes like they had very little cod in them. They were more doughy than fishy. Branzino: although the fish was delicate and cooked perfectly, I wasn't a fan of the butter peri-peri sauce, which I found (again) lacking flavor. Hot honey fried: this was a solid dish, and the batter was sweet, spicy and crunchy as advertised. Overall, after reading the reviews my expectations were high. However, I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed. Almost everything we ordered had problems, and considering their high price tag ($150 for the above), we were expecting more creativity and surely much higher quality. Sadly, I can't say I'd return, mostly because after having their most popular dishes, I'm not curious to taste other options on their menu.
