    Yo!
    Bill S.

The Bronx Beer "Hall" is a bit of a stretch. This is more like a small counter bar in the middle of the market. I have a few buddies with me and we came to Arthur Ave to eat before the Yankee game. Yelp has the restaurant opening at 4:30 so I decided to drink a cold one before the game. There are lots of good beer choices on tap: Attention Span Pale Ale, Blueberry Cider, Amity Beer Premium Lager, Break Of Jawn Witbier, Pineapple Sco Bo Seltzer, Doggo Double IPA. I was going to order the lager but they were out so I looked at the can list. Lots of great craft beer choices, I usually drink Ommegang - Cooperstown, NY or Allagash Brewing Company - Portland, ME. I'm going to try something new so I chose Bronx Little Italy Italian Pilsner 4.2 ABV. $51 bucks for a 6 pack?? Is there gold flakes in the can?? What the hell! The bartender was cool, he had to go in the basement for the cans. Once I got my beer, I grabbed a seat in the middle of the market, I'm facing the meat counter. Hey, its The Bronx. Don't like it? GTFO The beer was good, a little rich for my blood but good. If I'm in the area, I would come back to try the other beers on tap

Wow! The Puerto Rockin Noggin Coquito Stout was amazing.

Rolled in on a summer Thursday afternoon before an evening game at the Stadium, and so glad I did. Doug was my bartender and did a fabulous job - personable, friendly, quick with a recommendation, funny. I started with an offering from their draft menu, which was good stuff, and upgraded on my second brew to a special collab they had brewed with Gun Hill in cans - wow! Delicious. Lots of options around them in the Farmer's Market to grab a bite and have a seat and enjoy - this a hidden gem and I can't wait to get back. Thanks for starting my day in the Bronx off right! Cheers!

Nine Pin's Earl grey apple cider SO GOOD

The Bronx Beer Hall is tucked inside the Arthur Ave Market. It only had IPAs on tap when we came which my bf loved but wasn't quite my speed. I opted for their canned earl grey cider instead. Despite my skepticism about tea in apple cider, it somehow worked really well. The earl grey flavor was just strong enough. We also got their antipasto platter. It took a while to come but it was well plated and had a lot of delicious goodies on it. Their bread was so well toasted: perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was a fun experience and can't wait to come back

This little place is a hidden gem. They are located in the back of a market off of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. But they serve really great beer, which they specialize in. They have beers from all over, wide range and local. Arthur Avenue is one of my very favorite spots in all of New York City, and it's a shame more people don't go there. It has a very genuine feel. The Bronx beer Hall fits right in with that authenticity. It's an excellent place for a guy to grab a beer. I met lots of local people who are from the Bronx, and they were cool. They told me about lots of other spots that they go to. I would definitely go back there.

Cool beer/wine/drink selection inside a Bronx food hall. Limited seating but it's great when you come off-peak. Lots of yummy food options in the food hall to compliment the drinks.

Not air conditioned & very expensive.Four beers with tips $50, crazy. Beers were okay, just not as icy cold as I'd like. Our beers weren't special.

I'm a lover of strong beers, and this place doesn't seem to step it up. Their only IPA had 4.9% alcohol, and tasted really flat. The only other options were too light of fruity to my taste, and were the closest thing to water I've ever tasted. You'd expect these options to come cheap, right? Nope. Not in commercial and touristic Arthur Avenue, folks. Almost $10 per beer... and you even have to wait for it! I'm done with this place. Actually, I'm done with the whole street!

    Everything was delicious

I went after work with a coworker. Everyone was so nice. The antipasto appetizer was amazing. A nice guy even bought me a crepe stuffed with chocolate or Nutella strawberries and bananas. Delicious. Great ambiance and the beers are amazing

Now this is what I call a happy hour! Giant mason jars full of beer!

Walk in past the cigar maker, the deli and meat counters, and head right to the big bar smack dab in the middle of this place. Take a seat at a bar stool and drink some cold local NY brews served up in mason jars. ABC Beer Co, Ommegang, Bronx Brewery, Gun Hill and others. Try a flight served up in mini mason jars and have a taste of four different brews. They even have growlers if you want to take some home and get buzzed on your couch. If you need some eats they serve up a small menu of bar snacks, sandwiches from Mike's Deli, and pizzas from Cafe Al Mercato which are located in the market. Fresh, tasty, and at a good price. In the Retail Market it's a cool spot to drink giant mason jars full of beer during happy hour in Da Bronx. Listening to 80's hip hop and dance music. It's like a time warp in here. Cool and casual with a nice staff to boot. Get sloppy drunk and hit up a few local pastry joints when you have the munchies. Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

A true enhancement to this Iconic Bronx market. The choice of beers and drinks are excellent!. The owners are passionate and friendly and drum up a conversation to make you feel welcome. Nice surroundings of the market with choices for lunch and dinner in a setting that makes the Historical Bronx landmark one to remember.

Nice cold IPA from Gunhill Brewery serve at the Bronx Beer Hall, and enjoying a Italian hero from Mike's Deli.

Nice place to enjoy various cold beers, you can enjoy some pasta or a good Italian sandwich from Mike's Deli.Come by and check it out

It was nice for me, though, because I got a chance to chat with the woman who tends to the bar and really explore their ample beer and ale offerings. They have an extraordinary selection with lots of things that I have not run into before. They tend to focus on local breweries. I found a couple of things I really like. I look forward to returning and trying some more of their ales.

This is a place to find rare beer not ordinarily seen elsewhere. This was my first visit and I must have walked past Harlem Hops innumerable times along Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard in Harlem. This time I caught myself walking past on a beautiful Saturday with a five second delay and turned around and walked into Harlem Hops. Initially I thought I'll have a beer and keep it moving. I ordered a canned Hefeweizen, Deep Fried Highlighter Hefeweizen. Yep, that's the name and it was great. It supposed to have a banana note, but that was barely detectable. The clove note was there and it rode the top of this summer Hefeweizen nicely. Given this is one of the canned beers, they may have this anytime. Then I had American Pale Ale on tap, another great choice for a summer day: crisp, refreshing, cloudy light amber in color and unfiltered reminding you of a Hefeweizen. It has a slight citrus fruity flavor to my palate. There are sixteen taps. The taps change with the kegs, the season and what the owner sources from local breweries and beyond. Meanwhile, I'm having good conversations with folks who are regulars and the woman behind the bar, giving great recommendations. I forget the woman's name, but she is great. You can sample whatever they have on tap. She is good at understanding your taste profile and making recs. They also have a limited food menu. There is a backyard patio or garden and one can sit outside in front on the sidewalk. The dark interior is nice and cool on a summer day. The bathroom was clean as well. Four stars!

It works perfectly either way. This place is like your essential neighborhood dive bar, but with taste. If Tom's Restaurant had a cool, younger cousin who knew everything about beer, it would be this spot. It has that loyal following energy, the kind of place people in the know appreciate long before it becomes famous on a tourist list. They are known for their craft beer and let me tell you, they have a ton of it. I am not even into craft beer like that, but I like to experiment. At the rate I am going, it will take me about a year to get through all the options. Maybe two years if I behave responsibly. The food is great too. I think they have special days with unique menus or events once in a while because the times I went, something interesting was happening. Even on normal days, everything was on point. The fries alone are worth stopping in for. Simple, delicious, and dangerous. And the meals are well portioned, which is rare for a craft beer bar. What I really like is the vibe. You can come alone and mind your business or you can chat with a friendly patron. It does not matter. The spot builds community without trying too hard. In good weather they have a bit of seating out front. Do not let the neighborhood scare you off. The staff is excellent and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. I am giving these folks a solid five. They deserve it. I need to drop by again soon for some comfort food and a drink. Cheers.

The charcuterie board, sardines, grilled cheese, and sourdough nduja menu? There are some tables near the massive craft beer and canned beverage cooler (including an extended non-alcoholic selection of drinks as well). They were full upon arrival while the bar had surprisingly few people- but I soon learned why. The bar seating was unfortunately some of the most uncomfortable bar seating I've sat on to the level that I couldn't really sit on it for more than 15min at a time without needing to stand again for relief from the stools. That may be good for turnover, but not for a second round, creating community at the bar, or staying for more than one drink. Which is too bad- because the bar tender was great and could probably gain more loyalty if it was more comfortable to stay. The only option I could see in the menu for a vegan was sourdough with perhaps fig jam and a rogue olive oil bottle that I spotted on the counter, or some chips off the wall, so it would be nice to have just a little more to work with in that direction for the animal-averse type. Overall- it's a bar and it's a nice one with a lot of thought put into it- so I only took a star off for the bar seating- everything else about the experience is lovely, but a comfortable place to sit is at least 1/3 of the experience and has an impact on wanting to stay and order more. The dart board in the back is freely available though- just ask the bartender for darts!

As for the "buffalo sauce," maybe they ran out, because what arrived looked like wings rolled across someone else's plate. Dry, sad, and flavorless. I didn't even finish them... something inside looked discolored and tasted a bit fishy. My stomach immediately said, "Nope." The beer list? Fairly decent on paper.
