Visited with a group of five and decided to try several of the wing flavors. The wait staff was extremely attentive -- so much so that once they saw how many plates were coming out, they proactively recommended moving to a larger table so everyone could be more comfortable. That level of awareness doesn't go unnoticed. Water glasses stayed full, and the table was checked on consistently without feeling rushed -- about every 20 minutes or so. Service felt thoughtful and well-paced. A major highlight: the option to order all drums, all flats, or a mix. That alone earns points. This place was down the street from my daughter's house where I was visiting and I had the pleasure of going there several times while in town for the New York Knicks parade! What an awesome atmosphere! Robert, the bartender was so inviting, and even though he had a lot going on with so many other customers, he seemed to handle everything with a smile and enthusiasm! Robert definitely made my time at The Bronx Alehouse a memorable one! Big shout out to Gabriel and Miles who took care of me when I placed my order on two different visits and were both flawless in their treatment of me! No the manager Chelsea truly helped me to have a great experience and literally knew, my name upon my second visit, which made me feel at home! She also immediately exchanged my food order because I had a slight complaint about the fish tacos without blinking an eye! I will say that the 9% IPA (Unibroue La Fin Du Monde) suggested by Robert what's truly on point and my beer of choice going forward! I also had the medium bone in carolina barbecue and pineapple teriyaki chicken wings with their onion rings, and it was to die for! Visited here on a Friday night after a friend recommended this place and I'm so happy we visited. We were seated timely after our whole party arrived. Our main server Nicole was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. There was top pop and a mix of radio hits playing throughout the restaurant all night-- not too loud where you can't have a conversation. This is my go to spot for brunch and to catch up with friends. The food is delicious and the drinks are great. The staff is very attentive and will seat you right away. She spent a great deal of time chatting by the kitchen I had to get up twice to ask for things we needed and the food was also not what it once was. The place is fairly spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is your typical Irish pub or old school sports bar. In terms of the food, it was just okay. We shared a bunch of wings and had different burgers with fries. Prices are very good here, but the food was just average bar food. Portions are not big, but average size and quality and taste were average too. Not bad, but nothing special. With that said, I've spoken to other people who've been here and they said the same thing - this is a not place to go for food, but to go to if you like beer. With that, I have to agree. They had about 50 different beers to choose from and they were of the hard to find variety and from small breweries around the country. This place is a beer lover's dream. When I said " Isn't the customer always right?" They said not here! The waitress had told us certain prices and then when she was confronted about them she LIED. As the name suggests, you have your fair share of beers here, but the most I can do is hard cider so I really can't comment on the beers. However, I will say the bartender is on point. For food, I got the fish tacos which comes with tortilla chips that I was able to swap out for the truffle parm tots. The tots were good, but didn't necessarily scream of truffle flavor. As far as the fish tacos, for me personally they had too much going on. I like a simple fried fish with a slaw and a nice sauce to pull it together. Nonetheless, the fish was fried and seasoned well. I ended up eating the fish out of the taco. As far as service, I had a great experience. For our server, we had Milly, who definitely passed to vibe check. She was extremely helpful and observant and great to chat with. If you stop by make sure you ask for her. Would I go back? Yes, definitely. For our appetizer we decided to go with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Those were delicious the accompanying sauce was also perfect, it was some sort of Mayo & ketchup. It brings 3 rolls cut in half, so definitely a good portion size. I really recommend & I will be back for those alone. After our appetizer I got the original burger no complaints there it was a good burger. I loved the pickles. My boyfriend got the wings of course, the Carolina bbq kind double fried. I will sadly make this post! I've been buying wings and fries from the Ale house almost like every week because this is what I crave during my pregnancy. I always order wings with mild sauce on the side not on the wings! Either I order pick up or through uber eats and then make sure to call and tell them to adjust it how I like them. They ALWAYS get it right! Today sadly I was craving it so bad. My husband picked it up for me. I was so excited to eat them. Guess what! The sauce was on the wings and also on the side. This may not be significant for other people but when you're 8 months pregnant and craving it the entire day it's devastating.
