I have been here a few times over the years and it's always been consistently good. Mind you that I rarely eat fried chicken nowadays, therefore I take my time. My only rule is to ask for chicken from a new batch, which often requires a 15-20 minutes wait, but I am more than okay with that. This time, I had two individual pieces of spicy chicken thighs, as well as an order of ghost pepper chicken wings. Everything came out piping hot and juicy as can be. The chicken skin was also very crispy and not greasy today. What I enjoyed was a perfect storm of fried chicken perfection. "Love that chicken!" read more

Service was fast and quick. I had trouble understanding the options that I could select from what was left from the limited availability. I took advantage of the T-mobile deal for free six pieces of chicken with any order of $5 or more. Their three piece signature chicken seemed classic to start with for my second visit after their $5 chicken meal deal previously. I liked that the buttermilk ranch sauce was chilled to contrast with the freshly fried chicken without any greasy feeling. I ordered utensils only to realize that I still had to get them myself after leaving the cashier. The packaging was simple and easy with cardboard boxes to take to go :) read more

Have been here twice. Both times got the Classic Flounder Fish Sandwich which was really good. So use to the McDonald's Fillet-O-Fish Sandwich, but found the Classic Flounder Fish Sandwich from Popeyes to be more crispy and crunchy with a little hint to spice. I also got the Shrimp tackle box. Love them Popeyes biscuits. The fries were good as for the shrimp they fried it with the shell of the shrimp tail, thought it was like popcorn shrimp without the shell, so be aware when you take that first bite. Ambiance and decor of the place which was very inviting. It's really not a huge store, but there were chairs and tables where you can sit and eat. Staff at counter was friendly and acknowledges you. Will be back again for the Fish Sandwich. read more

So my favorite fast food chicken is still KFC Original, but my kids really love Popeyes more than KFC. I guess this generation's favorite? Anyways, it's not KFC but it's actually pretty good fried fast food chicken. Service usually is pretty quick since it is fast food. Ambiance is a typical fast food place though we usually buy to go or drive through so don't stay to eat. With my family we definitely buy the family/buckets. Their fries are actually pretty good as well. If we can find coupons for Popeyes definitely a plus... read more

They are right next to Taco Bell and closer to the Queens Blvd side. The place itself isn't too big but there is seating with booths and counter seating. I like the Chicken Burgers, especially the spicy one so that's what I usually come here for. The staff are polite and friendly and they are pretty quick here as well. Parking is tough though but there is street and metered parking a few blocks away. They are open decent hours as well too and they deliver! read more

Went to buy Popeyes using one of their mailed-in coupons similar to the ones on this pic. All did not have a barcode. The coupon I used happened to have a short tear, but the rest of the entire coupon including the codes, were intact. The counter person nicely told me, the coupon should not have any tears next time. She then enters my order and then, to my surprise of surprises, tears the coupon into small pieces. Funny. i thought maybe they had to save the coupon for audit later. Anyway - the spicy chicken was good as always. Same with the Biscuits and Fries. Didn't care much for their rice and beans which tasted odd to me. They still get 5 stars from me. read more

Occasionally stop in here. Same tasty chicken; solid chicken sandwich. No real issues at this location. They just started indoor dining option. The recent Big Box promo is nice (2 piece, 2 sides, & a biscuit); $6 ($5 if you have the app). Glad to have one in this neighborhood. P.S. I opt for the 2 piece, white meat, & always receive a breast, & a small wing. read more

I'm ordered a food through Yelp, which I believe prompt me to GrubHub portal. I specifically asked at the instructions for my order all chicken thighs. Sure enough, I knew when my order arrive 49 minutes later after. And I received different part of the chicken. Store can not or don't want to be contacted by phone. I live like 10 minutes on foot from the store read more

Popeyes - a box of fried chicken and french fries - Fast Food Near Me - Rego Park, New York

The long awaited opening of this location was the first week of September. Finally I was able to try the ever popular Popeye's Original Chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. Chicken was nicely portioned, a few pickles and a light serving of sauce on the top bun. Bun was buttery. Just right. Due to the current pandemic, seating is not available but I believe will accommodate between 8-10 people. Currently there are stickers on the floor for appropriate social distancing while waiting in line to order. Food selection available includes the usual: signature chicken, tenders, shrimp, sides and 3 different desserts. Customer service was friendly. Welcome to Rego Park, Popeye's! read more

This is my favorite Popeyes location! Staff are super friendly. Always clean and fast cooking! To my observation, I feel like they cook to order, when I get home my food is still hot, doesn't taste super oily like some Popeyes might feel. I would recommend coming to order from this Popeyes off 63rd drive in Rego Park. Also!! I had question about Beignets about not finished them all in one sitting and they help me separate the 12pcs into two bags so I can eat later. They are so thoughtful. You can also ask for utensil and plates. They are very generous. Thank you Rego Park Popeyes staff!Keep being great at your job! read more

The point of ordering for pick up is for a timely grab and go. My order was placed at 4:51pm with the pick up time of 5:24pm. There was ample time to pack the food so that it's ready by the pick up time. I arrived at exactly 5:24 pm, provided them with my order number only to have to wait another 20 mins. Meanwhile, at least 5 other customers who walk in to order get their food in minutes. When I ask how much longer, I'm told to wait! Does this make sense? The manager that was hanging around didn't even check in on my order. You would think seeing an annoyed customer waiting for over 20 min. you'd ask your staff to check the order. How very disappointing. read more

First review I'll ever leave. I come here often, and often have the same thing: the chicken sandwich. But the other day I thought I would try their shrimp, it's always looked good on the menu. I ordered the shrimp and took it home where I consumed about half of the "tackle box" they advertise. I open one of the shrimp up and they didn't devein the shrimp. In fear I didn't know what to do, so I didn't touch the shrimp and ate the rest of the food. To my shocking surprise, the shrimp did not settle in my body leaving me in a horrendous cold sweat with non stop vomiting. 24 later, I am defeated by Popeyes shrimp. Please don't order shrimp here. read more

Great customer service experience from them when they didn't have the right items! Yay!

I just want to say the location I ordered from was a complete disappointment. Biscuit Was way over cooked almost hard to chew. Chicken over cooked and dry. Not to mention, they did not include my redeem coupon for a free chicken sandwich. Your website was not helpful. Kept receiving a "bummer" page. Saying. "Something went wrong on our end. Take a look at our menu and offers while we look into this" That was for about an hour of me trying to send a message about a missing item in my delivery. Unfortunately I won't be order Again. Ps no napkins, no utensils, nor honey/ jam included in order. Smh read more

Mostly the same here. Masks are still required. No seating, they're still only open for take-out and delivery. They have beignets now, 3 for $2.49. Beignets are small, soft pastries covered with powdered sugar. These particular beignets have a chocolate filling. Each beignet is about two bites. They are popular in the southern Louisiana and Gulf Coast region. I've had beignets in Mississippi, and these Popeyes beignets taste reasonably authentic to me. They're back to their old tricks at the register. The guy didn't know how to use the register. I had to repeat the order several times. read more

If you're getting a combo and want just water instead- make sure to ask for bottled water otherwise they'll give you a gross cup with pink/brown water. Also, I think if you try to get bottled water it's an extra $1 even if the combo is supposed to come with a drink. read more

I love my Popeyes chicken 2pc and fries combo and love the way Shamine manages ithe store. Some might think she's a toughly but she's not, shes very assertive to get the hard job of management done. Always smiling and talking to the chefs so they can hear her. "Hey drop fries, more mild chicken , customers are waiting" she says... we love her. The team respects her and make a great team. Congratulations and Happy Birthday.... The place is kept clean always... she does all jobs to help her team., so be patient and say hi when you see her... She'll like that. read more

Great customer service, good food. I used a coupon but still satisfied where some stores would treat you bad due to using a coupon. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this Popeyes location. I've been here many times for takeout, and never had an issue. I've never ordered from their app or from a third party though; I always come in person to order. Sometimes there's a wait time, but fast food isn't always fast. I had bad experiences at other Popeyes locations; this is the only location I've tried that I like. They have great customer service too, and once I ordered really late (it was closing time basically), and the manager gave me a ton of free food to bring home! She said since they were closing anyways, she didn't want the food to go to waste. It was so nice of her and I got lots of free fried chicken as well as free mashed potatoes. I've NEVER had that experience before at any food place or restaurant. Sometimes at bakeries, you can get discounts at closing time, but I've never had someone give me free food. It really did make my night! I can't recall her name, but thank you again! I super appreciate it and will continue to buy from this location. read more

When I order they are very quick will completing your order. I am in and out so fast! I ordered something new on the menu -shrimp box. Wow that was disappointing. They provided very few pieces of shrimp and they were fried to a point were I couldn't really taste the shrimp. That same day they were having issues with their registrar and they couldn't take my card. I'm giving them 4 stars- because I've been here a few times and service was good and fast. It's just that one time I had a negative experience and won't try anything else but their chicken sandwiches now. read more

Worst customer service ever from manager, comes out with not even a smile. This place never has Cole slaw, I couldn't even get Mac & cheese as a substitute for same price as the other sides. Don't waste time going there! Not worth it! Boycott this place. read more

This will be the last place I will go. I ordered food on App, and when i came to pick up, they told me no order received in the system. The manager was not helpful when I asked for refund. Not sure if they changed management or whatever but chicken is smaller than previous and charging you 0.47 when asking for ranch sauce? It doesn't come w it and you ordered a meal? Not sure what kind of new management charges you for sauces and not asking for EXTRA sauces. Before they even give you ketchups and such never extra charges. Counter people seem pretty rude too. IF super hungry, get it if not tons of good places to eat in RP. :) read more

I never wrote a review in my life until I went to this place and got the worst service ever when I was here Sunday. The people who work here did everything in their power not to give me what I wanted. Usually every other Popeyes I go if I order say an 8pc chicken I can pick if I want only breasts and wings. This girl took my order and I repeated to. are u sure?....not only did I not get what I asked for but when I told them about it the manager ( who I think was) said no no no! you get what we have we don't make exceptions....I was like yo but I told the girl and she said yeah yeah yeah no problem. Then he told me to get out. WOW That confrontation ruined my whole afternoon and my lunch. read more
