    Chicken over rice
    Vincent Y.

Wow! I was surprised when I saw a sign outside that said $2.99 for chicken or lamb over rice. I walked inside and it was actually that price. $3.25 if you include tax. The price is unbeatable. It's not a huge plate, but it's enough for a quick meal. If you get two for $7.50, it can easily fill you up. The only thing I would recommend is asking if they can remove the random pieces of fries they add since those are sometimes a little bit stale. But overall, it tastes like any other chicken/lamb over rice and comes with the red and white sauce.

You cannot go wrong with $2.99 for chicken and rice and lettuce. Very tasty. Portion is good. I was starving when i got it so it wasn't enough but this is an excellent portion if you are normally hungry. Service is very fast. I took my food to go and it seemed pretty packed when i went on a Tuesday at 5pm. Mostly everyone was taking the "tasty chicken" to go. You can also get hot sauce with it but i didn't. Another thing to note is that there is no bathroom available. Probably because there's alot of traffic by a subway stop so understandably they don't want to deal with that.

    The disgusting inedible salad! MEH!!

I ordered the fish with salad what I received was a mess. Fish cut up in pieces, a salad that was mish mosh of a mess. The fries where not crinkle cut or fresh certainly NOT as advertised, NOT worth the time or money. If your gonna make terrible food don't waste the time and effort. Texas is still hands down the only state I've been in where the food is good, hot and as advertised the BEST. This food was garbage, that I tossed out and requested a refund. I wish I'd ordered a bag salad from the supermarket then to have wasted my time and money on this.

Best deal in NYC , you can't beat a $2.99 Platter . They are generous on the portions !!! I been seeing this around so had to come check it for myself !! Definitely worth the hype , also very busy lucky if you get a seat . It's family owned and the fellas were nice. They didn't rush my order or anything . It's fast food , no complains !! At $2.99 go try it !!!

I saw the $2.99 lamb or chicken over rice sign a while back and decided this would be a quick lunch to try out... what's to lose? If I hated it, it was 3 bucks. Well, the food was good for the price. I would say it's about half of the size of what you get in the regular $9 order, but not bad for a fast, cheap meal. The spot seemed to be popular with people coming in and out a lot. The flavor of the food was good, tastes like any other halal food cart. They did include a couple of random French fries, which I'm assuming was intentional... but I could've done without them. They didn't seem to add anything to the dish. I would suggest a little more meat, but again, what do you expect from a $3 plate?! Overall, it was good in a jiffy. I would say I'd even pay the full price for the regular size portion next time. Check it out if you're in the area, I've yet to see a better chicken over rice deal anywhere else!

The $2.99 halal platters are what caught my eye to this place! I tried both lamb and chicken platters. The chicken was a bit lacking in flavor, but the lamb flavor was better. They have white, red, and green sauces to choose from. The service was fast and our cashier was welcoming. The ambiance was similar to other fast food restaurants. For the unbeatable price, I recommend trying this place!

Castle Chicken really let me down with their "Happy Chicken or Lamb" deal. It used to come in a good-sized bowl and actually felt like a decent meal for $2.99. Obviously it's not supposed to be a full meal bc of the price. It's like a good side or in addition to whatever else you're having. But recently they've switched to a small, flimsy rectangular container--the kind you usually see used for sushi rolls--and the portion is way smaller. It's hard not to feel shortchanged. Disappointing to see them reduce quality like this just to save a buck.

You can tell I get this a lot. Happy platter - chicken and another that is lamb

We walked into a bright, casual space with a welcoming atmosphere that operates like a fast food spot but feels more unique because of the menu's combination of familiar items with Filipino flavors. The interior is clean and functional, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line, and the energy of the room stays lively and approachable, reflecting the brand's popularity across a wide range of diners. The main reason we visited was for the Chickenjoy, which is easily the standout item. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy coating while still staying juicy inside, and the biggest difference was the signature gravy that comes with it. The combination of the crunchy chicken and savory gravy is what makes it stand out compared to typical fried chicken places, and the gravy adds a richness that transforms the meal into something more substantial. Beyond the chicken, the other menu items are what make Jollibee different. The Filipino-style spaghetti has a sweeter sauce compared to traditional Italian pasta, which may not be for everyone but is definitely part of the experience, and the sweetness is balanced by the savory hot dog slices and cheese topping. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-try, with a crispy outer crust and a sweet fruity filling that works well as a dessert after the meal, and the contrast between the flaky pastry and the warm filling makes it one of the more memorable fast food desserts. The Palabok and rice meals also add more variety if you are looking for something beyond just fried chicken, and the noodle dish offers a different texture and flavor profile that rounds out the menu. The restaurant can get extremely busy, especially during peak times, and some locations have limited seating, so the ordering process can sometimes feel more chaotic than a typical fast food visit. The staff were friendly and the service moved along fairly well considering how popular the restaurant is, and they handled the steady flow without losing the welcoming energy. The turnover is fast enough that even with a line, the wait does not feel excessive, and the team manages the volume with efficiency. Jollibee is worth trying if you want something different from the usual fast food options. The Chickenjoy, gravy, and Peach Mango Pie are the highlights, and the Filipino-inspired menu gives it a personality that makes it stand out, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a fast food experience that goes beyond the standard burger and fries routine.

Everything was hot and fresh, and their chicken in the sandwich was AMAZING! I rather go here than Chic-Fil-A inside QCM's food court around the corner! Also, they were VERY hospitable! Good mannered, even gave me a lot of napkins as it gets messy handling the chickenjoy. They even catered towards my side interest of getting me a clean box for collector's purposes; they went above and beyond by not only giving me a flattened clean box, but also packaging the other foods in smaller containers and bags to keep the current box holding them CLEAN! Summarily, they are VERY hospitable and their food tastes amazing! I would love to come back again on my next visit in the area for a good Peach Mango Pie as a snack, or get a meal for a good lunch or dinner. Highly recommend!
