After my disappointment with NY Burger Co, I was leary to try another of the many burger places that popped up in recent years. I've tagged along with a co-worker who orderef from Five Guys, however, my fat guy guilt didn't allow me to get anything. That all changed this past weekend. I was hungry and happened to drive by this place so I went for it. I got the little bacon cheeseburger with everything and a regular order of fries. The prices are a bit steep, however, its a quality burger. in recent memory, I haven't had a better burger. Everything about it was right. The fries were fantastic and believe me, you DON'T NEED A LARGE! My wife and I split the regular and couldn't finish what they gave us. In my humble opinion, Five Guys is worth the hype. read more

I live in Fresh Meadows and I've only been here twice. I actually drive to the other Horace Harding Five Guys in Little Neck now... The workers are loud... and why was this guy rapping while making my food...that's disgusting. It's great that you're having a great day and I don't mind your passion for music, but not when you're serving customer's food. There is a time and place for everything. Either have your workers use mouth covers or limit them from talking so much. For crying out loud, you're serving food... I'm giving 3 stars because at least the store itself is clean. The customer service isn't OMG friendly, but they aren't rude either so there are some upsides I suppose. Overall, talking in front of food while making the darn hamburgers is just a big turn off. Sometimes you just want an all American old fashioned burger. By that I mean beef seasoned with salt and pepper, maybe with cheese maybe, with bacon, cooked on a nice flat top griddle. If that is the case, Five Guys may be the place for you. I'm all for the lamb burgers and burgers tricked out with daikon radish or foie Gras, but sometimes I just want a plain old delicious greasy flavor bomb. That's what the peeps over at Five Guys specialize in. Are they the best in the world? Most likely not but they come pretty damn close. I have always enjoyed what they are slinging off their griddle. You can get a host of toppings to trick out your burger if you want and also get a side of regular or cajun fries. they even have hot dogs and veggie sandwiches. This place feeds my greasy fix and good burger fix all in one. I recommend this place in particular because they are fast and the staff is nice. I love Five Guys, but this new-born location needs to step up its game. The fries are a bit too soggy, especially because I usually like my fries a little soggy but this is a bit too much. The burgers are great but PLEASE make sure you put all the right ingredients before giving out the order because I found mine filled with pickles yesterday and I hate them. This isn't the first time I've experienced a wrong order at Five Guys, the location at Little Neck once gave me the completely wrong burger. I'm an understanding customer, and I know it's hard to not make mistakes when it's very busy. I just hope that maybe they can have one of the guys behind the counter to do the extra step of checking, that will make a lot more happy customers. read more

The burgers here are decent, but the fries are either love it or hate it, well I hate it. It's mushy even if I eat it right of the fryer, and all that seasoning just doesn't help. Shake shack has the edge even if it means longer wait. read more

Five Guys makes a good burger... However, you will learn that a normal burger at Five Guys is actually 2 patties. Not that you're going there to eat healthy, but it's easy to eat over 1500 calories between a bacon cheeseburger, fries that include an extra measure of bag fries and drink. This Five Guys in particular, is far better for take-out. The tables are typically dirty and if you sit on the counter top table across from the food prep area, there's usually ketchup or other food substance on the wall staring back at you. read more

This is the second Five Guys location I've been to. I been to this location twice and it sure can get crowded especially during the warmer seasons when everyone is coming out to shop, watching movies at the theater, and etc. There isn't a lot of seating area at this Five Guys, but there is a parking lot available in the back! Service is pretty quick. Staff are friendly and quick at taking orders. The burgers and fries here are pretty good like your standard Five Guys. read more

New location, I came here the day they opened, and several times after that. It was quite busy the first day, and of course was not yet on Yelp! So I added the business, and decided I would give a real review at a later date. So... here it is! Service is relatively fast. It was crazy on the first day, but now the hype has died down, and it is a normal burger joint. The burgers are okay. Not the best, but certainly not the worst! I love their fries, too. Regular and cajun style, both are delicious. Everything is fried in peanut oil, so if you're allergic to peanuts, you will want to stay far, FAR away from this place. They even have TUBS of peanuts just laying around the restaurant for you to snack on while you're waiting for your burger. Which means there are peanuts, peanut shells, and peanut dust, EVERYWHERE! They do a good job of keeping it sparkly clean, though. You can literally get anything you want on the burger. Bacon, cheese, pickles, peppers, bacon, onions, sautéed onions, mushrooms, bacon, hot sauce, just go wild! Did I mention bacon...? But the burger may not fit in your mouth, or may fall apart easily, if you go too crazy! All-in-all, I don't eat here very often, but if I'm craving a juicy burger and crazy good fries, I'm glad to have it around the corner from my office!! read more

The fries are a must have whether it be the regular it Cajun. You'll always have more thrown into the brown bag so be sure to grab a plastic bag if you take anything home. Beware of the free peanuts. Maybe you're allergic or you love peanuts. The prices for Five Guys in general are steep if you compare it to BK, Wendy's or McDonald's but it's worth it in my book. read more

You can go to The Capital Grille and get a wagyu burger with a glass of wine for $25 which is pretty much what i feel like i end up paying here for a fucking sloppy as mystery meat burger, some fries and a cola. They'll charge you $5 for a drink just cuz. I don't understand how they justify these prices. The burger is greasy and decent, but not for $10. That's a $3-4 burger at most. In-N-Out charges like 2-3 bucks for a fresh never frozen patty with the best quality ingredients you can imagine for the toppings. Even the fries are hand cut and never frozen. My order was totally incorrect they didn't put any of the toppings on three burgers I ordered, to add insult to injury they burned the burgers also my milkshakes we're all plain vanilla instead of what I asked for. Services was poor and restaurant was dirty. Went to 5 guys in Fresh Meadows early Friday night before a movie. The individual who took my order did not ask if I wanted anything on my burger. She took my order and walked away. I placed my order and waited. Another individual was calling out completed orders. I was sitting right in front of the glassed cooking area. My completed order was placed on a shelf and never called out. Finally after serving a number of people one of the female cooks asked me for my number and grabbed my dinner which had been sitting there. The garbage was practically overflowing and there was a staff member supposedly cleaning up but he walked right past the garbage several times. A small cheeseburger with fries and drink were like $19. I will never go back to Fresh Meadows. And have to think twice about spending $19 for what I was served. read more

I love me some burgers... I believe in the hype of Five Guys. The burgers are damned good. The fries on the other hand, not so good...more like bland and tasteless. The burger itself was perfectly juicy and the cheese was melted not just thrown on. The fries were very blah. I wish they had more taste because they could've easily gotten 5 stars. Whoever handled the fries were not cheap at all. They put them in a small cup and about a handful more thrown in the bag. I couldn't even finish them because there were so many. The place is cool but it has Midtown pricing. Be ready to drop about $12 for a burger, fries and drink. I love burgers. read more

I have been to many Five Guys and this is the first one I am reviewing because, well, it's closest to where I live and all the locations I've been too are very consistent with taste and quality. The burgers were great as usual, and the spicy fries were delicious. Personally, I prefer fries like McDonald's or French restaurant frittes, but these were yummy nonetheless. The service was good. No complaints. The setup is not the most enticing for sit down eating, but I did see a surprising number of people eating at the narrow hallway tables. I definitely took it to go, though. If you want sit down the one in Little Neck or out further east are more spacious. Overall Five Guys is a welcome addition to the quintessential American favorite -- the hamburger joint. read more

It was my first time ordering food from this fast food joint. I walked into the store having high expectations. The staff member that took my order was very pleasant and explained the different types of toppings they have. I ordered the bacon burger and regular fries. The service was quick and the food was hot. Why 2 stars you ask? Well, the food itself was super greasy. The burger did not hold well and the proportion of bun to burger was poor. My fries... my goodness. They tasted of burnt frying oil and were super salty. I feel terrible that the fries have gone to waste but they were inedible. I am the biggest eater I know so when I ordered a medium size serving of cajun fries for $3 I didn't expect that I wouldn't be able to finish them in one sitting due to the gigantic serving they give you. I can't imagine how big a large order of fries is. The fries are hot and spicy and are a great way of breaking up the monotony of eating too many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at school throughout the week. I feel ridiculous for coming here and not trying their burgers but sometimes you just want fries and then you end up coming back a few weeks later because you've got a craving for them that can't be sedated. The fries can be soggy but if you're like me it will barely make a difference since they're fun to eat and you'll probably be paying more attention to the kick they give your mouth than their consistency. read more

Come on guys, its Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It looks like a typical one with the traditional white tiles and sporadic red tiles in their usual pattern. Burgers are fresh, so are fries (love the cajun). I love getting the cajun seasoning on the burger. I find it hard to pay $7 ish for a large fry, but they are so good! I like the fact that they leave the bags of potatoes outside, it shows that they dont hide their fresh ingredients. Love the peanuts! They are pretty fast with the service. My only issue is that they dont have someone cleaning up after people that didnt learn how to do it themselves. So sometimes its a little messy inside. I usually wipe my tables down witha napkin before i sit down anyway. All in all, if you get an hour lunch, this is a great place to go if you are nearby. The only issue is the parkign lot, they keep adding more things to the complex and parking gets more and more difficult.... read more

Burgers average at about $9 each. There are no "value meals" so fries are always separate. The staff is always pleasant, the burgers are always delicious and the drink options are endless. This particular trip I ordered the cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato with large fries. The fries overflow in the bag so there's always some for later. The cashier was very friendly.
