Finally trying this spot and it was definitely worth it. I had the soprano and the il vip which were both huge and delicious. They have a huge sandwhich menu so ill have to come back to try them all.

Just discovered this amazing Italian gem! Me and my wife stumbled across this place looking for some sandwiches on our way home and we are so glad we did! Walking in here it's like walking into a foodies paradise, I really mean that!!! Not only do they have a huge sandwich selection they also carry a good amount of fine Italian groceries and have hot food bar which is worth checking out! After looking at the sandwich menu focusing on their chicken delish sandwiches I decided to get the Broccoli Rabe which came with grilled chicken broccoli rabe fresh mozzarella balsamic and oil on a seeded hero bread. Wow what an amazing and delicious sandwich I was really impressed!!! It's very hard to find a place that makes these type of sandwiches with such love, precision and quality!!! This place just became my favorite sandwich spot in Queens hands down, it's definitely worth the drive. Trust me you'll enjoy!!! The staff is very friendly and helpful with your sandwich selection! There's also some tables and chairs so you can eat your food inside.

Shoutout to my grandma who lives in the neighborhood which gives me an excuse to grab a hero anytime I visit! I always call ahead to order for pick-up & the hero is ready by the time I get there! (10-15 min max) The dapper don is my ABSOLUTE go to! Imported fresh prosciutto that always hits the spot! The Pauly (I believe that's the name) is a close 2nd if I'm feeling "healthier" haha. The prices have raised (inflation is no joke so ofc they have to) but for $14 you are getting a great portion! There are plenty of options with all kinds of deli meat, hot & cold foods & homemade pasta! Def try them out if you're in the neighborhood!

I'm not sure how we scored parking on an afternoon weekend but I think it might have been because I've been dreaming about their sandwiches for month now. I first got the pleasure of trying one of their Italian heros at a Yelp event in Queens, summer of '22. I wanted to check them out in person but never got around to it. The one night I did attempt to try them out, it was very late and they were close to closing and there was no parking anywhere in sight. I was heading back from another event and figured I'd check to see if I could get a sandwich. Unfortunately, they ran out of bread, which only increased my longing for their deli fare. Fast forward to today, I had to head to LI to run an errand and mentioned to hubby that we should try to get sandos on the way back home, especially since they're located minutes from our doorstep. When we arrived, there was ample parking, even right in front of the business. I walked in, not really knowing what I would order, because I really wanted to get the same sandwich I tried at the Yelp event. Luckily, the owner was at the counter and when I told him about the event that I attended, he knew exactly what sandwich I was looking for. He named off the ingredients and I was sold. While he was preparing my sandwich, I made the mistake of looking at their other offerings as well as calling my son to ask if he wanted anything. In the end, we ended up with the Dapper Don (the sando that has been in my dreams) and a customized ciabatta sandwich with chipotle mayo, prosciutto, muenster, broccoli rabe, grilled onion, mushrooms and roasted peppers...they heated it up on a panini press and I have to say that it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. They also offer cold & hot foods, as well as plenty of Italian specialty items. I picked up some of their hot sausage & peppers, as well as couple of pieces of their strombolis, the veggie (broccoli rabe & ricotta) and their sausage & pepperoni, both of which were great. They heated up the sausage and peppers for me, gave me a fork for the road and a piece of bread to enjoy with the dish. Hubby and I ate it right in the car while our Little slept (don't judge). This was definitely a cheat day. I don't think it's entirely surprising that I will definitely be back. I know for sure that my son will gladly pay the round-trip toll cost just so that he can get his customized sando any time he wants.

Earlier this week I was simply a passenger riding shot gun as my friend ran errands in both LI & Queens. To my surprise our last stop before heading back to the Boogie Down was Sergimmo's. As Yelpers we both remember their presence @ an event we attended summer '22' @ the Queens Farm. She has been dreaming of their sandwiches since that event and her excitement when we arrived to parking right in front was laughable. We entered to a short wait as the present customers were wrapping up their purchases. My friend placed the orders for her family both a regular menu item and a customized monster for her son. I was totally there for moral support because I couldn't possibly eat another morsel that day. That is until I started to wonder around the quaint store while we waited. Sergimmo's has so many imported goods it's hard to resist. I almost made it out until I spotted focaccia bread on the counter. I swear I heard the rosemary call my name. I insisted that my friend and I split it and the nice gentleman, Frankie kindly split and re-bagged the bread for us. Both Frankie and the owner were nice and welcoming. The owner even remembered my friend from her last visit. The focaccia was light and airy with a nice balance of garlic and rosemary. Definitely don't mind traveling back across the bridge to try some of their hot meals. Just A Note: If you are looking for something it particular (ie: like strombolis) it's best to go early. On busy days the owner said items go quickly.

Review is more a 3.5 I've been a customer for a few years now. At first, I really enjoyed the quality they provided with their pricing but I feel like the quantity of meat they put in the sandwiches have gotten less now for $14.50 semolina hero sandwiches. I've also tried their TGTG pick ups and was also disappointed with them. The one time I got it, I got a very small portion of their pasta and veggies and did not even add up to the estimated TGTG value. I would probably only come back if meat portion size stayed the same from earlier years especially since prices have risen. Recommended sandos if u would like to visit are dapper don, Pauly, IL VIP and frank the tank . They also have a heart attack equivalent sando (don't remeber their name for it) here and that is good as well. Drinks like canned sods is $3

Hands down one of the best Italian sandwich places I've been to and plan to go to for many more times to come. I've tried a bunch of different sandwiches from here ranging from vegetarian ones to non-vegetarian ones and everything has been fantastic. Do yourself a favor and make sure to order any sandwich on the semolina roll and try their fresh house made mozzarella as well.

Got a clean bill of health from my cardiologist down the block, so I decided to celebrate with a nice hero sandwich from this place. Since I love broccoli rabe, I got the "Italian Stallion" which is porchetta (roasted pork), broccoli rabe, melted provolone and a balsamic glaze. Delicious.

Hidden gem in the heart of Whitestone ! As soon as you walk in , the aroma of fresh food hits you . This deli offers gigantic sandwiches . You can order a roll or semolina hero . Go with the hero ! I tried the California Chicken hero : Chicken cutlet, ham, melted muenster, lettuce, tomato & chipotle mayo. Simply delicious. It was such a hearty hero with enough for 2 servings. Very decent price as well. While you wait for your order there is a lot of great stuff to peruse. There were these pouches of biscotti cookies to purchase . I tried the Cherry Pistachio ones . Dear Lord in heaven , these were the best dessert for that sandwich overload . I really do recommend grabbing a sandwich here . I am always a big fan of a good hero , I look forward to trying the other ones . The Goodfellas , The NY Giants , Frank The Tank and the Soprano. These names though !!! ***Parking is meter parking , good availability and they also offer curbside pickup. While I was waiting

I have yet to actually come to the establishment but I've ordered 3 times so far for delivery and every single time, their sandwiches hit the spot! Sometimes it's hard to decide what sandwich to get because they all sound so good. My favorite so far is the VIP (Prosciutto, fresh homemade mozzarella, arugula, balsamic glaze, olive oil and fig spread on a fresh baked hero. **chef's kiss** I can't wait to try the rest of their items.

There are tons of new additions, and I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest. A lot of the new items lean toward seafood, while others feature familiar proteins paired with fresh, updated sides. Kudos to the Lena's team for keeping things exciting while staying true to the vibe. Here's what I tried: Korean short ribs- Pickled Radishes, Spring Onions Jonah Crab Lettuce Wraps- Boston Lettuce, Housemade Remoulade Tartare, Chives New Mussels Dish- Pepperoncini, Chorizo, Prosecco, Saffron Tomato Broth, Sourdough Croutons Octopus- Patatas Bravas, Kalamata Olives, Salsa Verde, Paprika The short ribs were excellent. They're tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pickled radish cuts through the richness of the marinade and really brings the dish together. A great, shareable plate that feels perfect for the warmer months. The crab lettuce wraps were incredibly light and fresh. Honestly, if I had my eyes closed, I'd think I was sitting somewhere on a beach. Bright, clean flavors along the sweet crab, perfection. The new mussels were outstanding. The chorizo and pepperoncini add depth and a little kick to that saffron tomato broth, and everything works beautifully together. The mussels were plump and perfectly cooked. I like that they still offer the classic white wine version, but this one feels like a great elevated option. The octopus was good, though not the best I've had. The flavors and accompaniments were really strong, but I personally prefer a more tender texture. It could have used a bit more time to get to that fork-tender consistency with a nice char on the outside. That said, I'd still order it again. This was just round one of trying the new menu, and I already have my next visit planned: the brick oven-roasted whole branzino and the tomahawk pork chop with roasted pepper pizzaiola sauce.

One thing About this place I thought was odd, and I didn't like was that you couldn't get linguini or rigatoni as your side pasta. You had to pick either between spaghetti or penne. My husband and I split the pasta fagioli and my sister had the minestrone soup for our appetizers. WOW the pasta fagioli soup was FANTASTIC! It was one of the best pasta fagioli soups we both ever had! My sister loved the minestrone soup. For dinner we had the red snapper livornese, eggplant parm, and the fried shrimp & calamari. We all loved and raved how good our dinners were all night! The eggplant parm was one of the best we ever had as well! It was so lightly breaded it melted in your mouth. The livornese sauce to the red snapper tasted AMAZING, and fish was so Fresh! This place is no frills in appearance, but the Italian food is authentic and delicious! A huge plus is the paid parking lot around the corner with an exit onto 150th St, just a few doors down from the restaurant. Anyone familiar with the area knows street parking can be challenging , so that definitely made things easier. I came here to celebrate a dear friend's milestone birthday, and since she loves Italian food, this was her pick. We started by sharing the fried calamari, which was nicely fried and included both rings and tentacles. Neither of us eat the tentacles, so we pushed those aside. The calamari comes with a choice of mild, medium, or spicy tomato sauce -- we chose medium -- though honestly, I'm happy with just a squeeze of lemon on fried calamari. Each entrée comes with a choice of side dishes, and you can also upgrade both the pasta and sauce options. My friend ordered the Chicken Sorrentino, topped with prosciutto, eggplant, roasted peppers, and melted mozzarella over chicken cutlets. For her side, she upgraded to gnocchi and then upgraded again to Bolognese sauce. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was tender and juicy. Both dishes came with two thin cutlets each, but between the bread, garlic knots, and calamari, we only managed to eat one cutlet apiece and took the rest home. The Marsala sauce was flavorful and tasty. I personally would've loved more mushrooms, but overall it was still very good. I chose roasted potatoes on the side, and from the one bite I managed before getting too full, they were delicious. If you're in the neighborhood -- or even nearby -- this place is definitely worth trying. One thing to note: they only serve beer and wine, no full liquor bar. My Pinot Grigio was decent, and my friend enjoyed a light beer with her meal.
