Cherry Valley is a neighborhood staple.. "IYKYK" kinda thing. Been going here since high school and remember the food tasting way better than now (could be the nostalgia, could be all the alcohol in my system when I would typically visit this place). Nothing special other than it being my neighborhood spot. It's honestly a quick grab and go spot, literally a nyc Deli but they have alll the snacks and drinks you could think of/want after a night out. That being said, people typically come here for the same reason so expect it to be packed after hours. Also, in case you were thinking there are NO vapes, tobacco, paper products available here Grab another sub across the street at Christina's and compare the two with your boo and make it fun or somethin, see which y'all prefer! Me? I'm going w Cherry Valley everytime

So delicious. Easy parking. Unlimited delicious snacks and beverages throughout the deli. Freshly made cake slices and bakery items! Service was fast, guys were super helpful Ambiance was great, place was so clean and well kept

Small deli located in Whitestone. Staff are always friendly and it's relatively quick to get your food. Prices are decent and the food is amazing. I've never gotten a sandwich from here that I did not like. If I'm in the area, I love stopping by and trying something new!

Growing up, everyone knew about Cherry Valley. I've been coming here since high school and people visit here because it's 24/7 and had delicious sandwiches. Their menu is overwhelming because they have a million different options for sandwiches. But in recent years (maybe within the last 2 years) it doesn't hit the spot anymore. Their chicken cutlet isn't as crispy and fresh anymore. More like it's been microwaved from frozen.

A Whitestone institution. Busy all hours of the day but especially late night. Many flock here to satisfy their hunger after a night out. Huge selection of specialty sandwiches but I usually go for a sandwich which will include chicken cutlet. They make it so much better than their friendly rival Cristina's

I've heard a lot of good things about Cherry Valley so I was excited to try. I ordered pick-up and got the the bomb on a hero. The sandwich has a little spice to it and has a creamy sauce. I liked that it had French fries alongside with the breaded chicken. The hero was a bit much for me. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. My only issue is that the napkins were so thin, I had to use several since the sandwich can get messy. Cherry Valley is good if you want an hearty sandwich which may or may not give you a heart attack!

Cherry Valley is a staple! i've been coming here my whole life and it always hits the spot. it gets pretty packed all throughout the day but it's always pretty quick. it's a standard deli in my eyes, no seating, a lot of snacks and beverages. it's a legendary spot for a reason and i will continue to push forward the cherry valley name my regular choices are: -corona -dsny but this time around i tried the verizon fios and the last call. i enjoyed them both and there were no left overs

Got 2 sandwiches (chicken Supreme and something Italian which also had chicken) and a large salad. Got the sandwiches but got SUPER HARD MADUROS instead of a large salad. The maduros were harder than sour dough bread when left out too many days and the sauce didn't do anything to soften them. I reached out to doordash for a refund on the incorrect item but they denied it. I basically ate one and threw the rest out. The sandwiches were okay. The chicken Supreme was fresh as it had the BLT toppings but I wouldn't pay more than $14 for these sandwiches. It was lacking some salt with both of the sandwiches. I tried cherry valley in the past (3 years ago) but again this year. It might be one of my last. There are alot better sandwiches out there now but I do appreciate that they are open late.

I'm always loving on this place. It's been around forever and I feel I've been coming here forever. I love the Buschman hero with their iced tea. I don't like gravy, but it's gooood

A friend recommended and we went on a weekday noon time. Easy to find street meter parking. No line upon entry. Lady in charge was friendly and helpful. We ordered four sandwiches: 1. Pastrami hero: $13.25 best tasting. Great flavor. 2. Patriotic hero: $14. Grilled steak, bacon, mozzarella cheese .... Did not disappoint! 3. Boneless rib hero: $11 it was ok. The 'rib' is like the 'rib' in McRib at McDonald's. Don't expect real rib rib. 4. Bullet hero: $13.5. Chicken cutlet was disappointing dry. Least favorite. Kitchen opens 24 hours. Only 11-4 pm get free soda or bottle water with sandwich purchase. Extra fee for credit card. So bring cash. Overall customer service was good. No waiting time standing on line. Serving time is normal. Food was overall delicious and filling. Price is not cheap but fair. Will definitely return.

They have been around since 1979, so they must be doing something right. I've never heard of this place until it was mentioned recently on Twitter by someone I follow. Anyway, it's about a block from where I see my cardiologist, so I figured next time I see him, I'll pop in over here and check them out. So today I saw my cardiologist, got a clean bill of health and decided to "celebrate" that by getting a heart clogging hero. Since I Back The Blue, I got the NYPD Hero. It's a chicken cutlet with grilled pastrami, fresh mozzarella, Russian dressing on a toasted hero. Not massive in size, but highly satisfying and quite tasty. I'll be back in six months after I see my cardiologist again, to try a different hero. '

Hey everyone, can someone please recommend the best sandwich to try from here? I'm not big on sauces so nothing too saucy! Thank you ❤️

Almost everything has a sauce on it and it compliments the other ingredients. Maybe try a Tuna Melt hero scooped out.

There are some dedicated parking spaces that have a three hour limit if dining. Upon arrival, I entered the inside restaurant space for Dakota's on the Grove. It was aesthetically pleasing. I should have sat inside here instead of in their outdoor space which they call The Grove at Dakota's. I was able to choose where I wanted to sit, so I chose a table near this shed where the bartender/waiter was. I noticed they were setting up for the Knicks Game 3 final and there were two large TVs and a projection screen. I overheard the waiter state that the area would be packed for the game tonight. There was also good music playing throughout. They had a large connect four, which would be nice to play. They are family friendly and had high chairs for babies and toddlers. When sitting outside they state that they have to preauthorize your card. Now getting onto the food. I was seated and provided with two menus. I immediately asked for a happy hour menu and then I waited for about 15 minutes, until I followed up with another waiter who brought out the menu for me. For the happy hour menu before I received my food I initially thought the prices were good, but upon receiving my food it was evident that the prices are off in terms of the portion size of the food. I ordered a $5 slider. I thought it would be a decent size. It was incredibly small. For the $5 price they should give at minimum 2 sliders but ideally 3. This would incentivize people to buy more. The slider was the best thing I tasted while there and I would have liked more but I couldn't justify spending another $5 when it was so tiny. The tiny slider appeared to be the portion size for a toddler. I ordered calamari which was $9. I was initially disappointed that there was such a small amount. I was even more disappointed when I tasted them. They tasted very "fishy." They absolutely needed a squeeze of lemon and fresh cracked black pepper to try and balance and mask the taste. I believe the portion size for the fries was also off for $5. The fries came in a teacup. Fries are something that people tend to order to have something to pick at while dining and it would make sense I think to provide more fries for the same price. I also could not justify getting another set of fries in a small teacup for $5. I did not like the taste of the fries. When the sparse calamari, tiny beef slider, and small teacup of fries came out, I realized I would not be full and ordered chicken wings from the happy hour menu. You have to get a minimum of 6. You cannot mix the flavors. They were out of the dockside fire sauce so I went with the garlic parm. These wings did not taste like garlic parm. The garlic parm seemed like an afterthought, which was just sprinkled on the wings at the very end. The chicken itself did not have much flavor. They did not mention providing any dipping sauce. I asked for blue cheese and I had to wait for about ten minutes and then remind another waiter that I was still waiting for my blue cheese. They were out of the mozzarella sticks. Moving onto the drinks. While I get being outside and maybe wanting to serve drinks in plastic to minimize glassware breaking, I did not enjoy being served Pinot Noir in a plastic cup or the white cranberry lemon drop in a plastic cup. Each time I was taken aback that they weren't offered in glassware. I got the $7 Pinot Noir from the happy hour menu. A regular glass of Pinot Noir is $9. I also ordered the white cranberry lemon drop which is priced at $12 and is not included on the happy hour menu. The drink came out in the same sized small plastic cup as the Pinot Noir. I think once again that glassware should be used. When ordering a lemon drop you tend to expect a chilled frosty glass with a sugar rim, and that was not what I received here. I think the sugar rim would have elevated the taste profile of the drink. All in all, I really liked the outdoor area. I would probably only return to get a canned beer in the outside section. I hope they start to carry some sour beer options. I do not see myself trying the food again, with the exception of a burger (since the burger was really good.) I did have an inquiry regarding the pre-authorization charge and the final charge that I saw on my credit card. I called and left a message and the restaurant got back to me quickly, which I really appreciated.

It was time for us Bronxites to have a catch-up session filled with laughs, good conversation and all the latest life updates. Turns out, it was absolutely worth it. We kicked things off with appetizers: mussels in a delicious wine+garlic sauce, a mixed greens salad with the creamiest+silky whipped feta dressing which was layered on the bottom and a tuna tartare served with crisp little breads that made every bite hit just right. The first round of drinks were nice. My Bellini wasn't made with the traditional peach purée and instead, they used like a peach liqueur. But honestly? It was still banging. Actually, it definitely had me feeling woozy. We were still hungry and decided to share the linguine with clams and the fish and chips. Thankfully, the fish portion was generous- but the chips? Way too skimpy for all that fish. The linguine with clams was delicious, but for $24, the portion was small with like only 6 tiny clams. Round two of cocktails and wine arrived and let's just say they hit real good. Service was incredible from start to finish- attentive in every sense of the word without hovering. The restaurant itself has an airy feel and is right on the water, making our lunch feel relaxed and nice for lingering over drinks and chit-chat.

I love being able to recommend a steakhouse that dry ages its own meats right here in the neighborhood. Yesterday, we were a bit pressed for time, so we ordered the lamb chops, skirt steak, and, of course, a nice bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. The lamb chops were phenomenal, easily among the best I've had at any restaurant. They were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I'm usually not someone who enjoys eating the fat on meat, but the fat on these chops was rendered so beautifully that I found myself eating every bite. There wasn't a single chewy or unpleasant piece. I normally order the porterhouse or ribeye, but the skirt steak was an excellent choice when I wanted something leaner and quicker to enjoy without sacrificing flavor. The fried potato salad is another standout. It's a unique side that's absolutely worth ordering. And then there's the peppercorn sauce served with the lamb chops. It's a total mic drop. I honestly can't put into words how good it is. I found myself dipping everything in it (even my fingers ). It's that delicious! Fiorentina continues to impress every time we visit, and it's become one of my favorite places to recommend for a great steak dinner.
