Love love love this place. It was totally a coincidence, but I was invited to 2 back to back weekend party at this place. Saturday, we came here for a 3yo pizza making party and the kids had so much fun making their own pizza. The restaurant cooked all the kids pizza, boxed them up, let all the kids decorate the pizza boxes and we all were able to take them home. Kids had a blast and it was such a unique experience. The adults got a taste of the "bomb" pizza which has sausage, pepperoni, and hot sauce drizzle. My favorite was the truffle mushroom pizza and the burrata pizza was delicious. Sunday, we went to a small intimate surprise baby shower. Again, it was so much fun. We got to try their calamari, caprese salad, Cesar salad, chicken francese, penne ala vodka and more pizza. Food was delicious and service was impeccable!

4.25 Updating this review because I did actually dine in this time, and the food was good. I'm not going to be ordering pizza, but the other food is fantastic. We got the calamari al fuoco, the grilled skirt steak, and the meat lasagna. I know this place is Italian, but they really do know how to make steak. It's seasoned nicely, and you get that smoky, grilled flavor. My only wish is that next time they don't cut it all up. They gave us a steak knife, so let us cut it ourselves. The meat lasagna is a nice size, and I love how you can see shreds of beef, unlike other places where they use ground beef. The server was also a doll. She was super friendly and really attentive to us. Glad we tried the other food from here. Now we know what to get, and what not to.

Service was good, calamari was crispy and crunchy. I ordered a veal parm but got a chicken parm. Didn't bother changing it. Got the squid ink pasta but it was undercooked. Was mushy. I think they're new but I think given time they have potential to be good. The server was attentive but needs more experience.

It's finally here! The Parlor has its Grand Opening on 10/15/2024.

It's finally here! After Parkway Pizza closed, it left a pizza void next to Utopia Bagels. Fear not, after many months of renovation, The Parlor has risen from the ashes of Mezze/Nakita's/Parkway Pizza and has opened its doors on 10/15/24. Ariana was our server and she explained there's a temporary menu during this initial launch. The menu features delicious pizza, pasta, heros, wraps, and paninis. The standard slice of pizza is excellent and they have fancier slices with ingredients like truffle oil, burrata cheese, and hot honey. I hope The Parlor becomes a Whitestone staple for many years to come!

Shrimp Oregano w side of penne in garlic oil

Arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night. Place was busy. We sat outside where it was quieter. 3 of us. Loved our server. He was VERY attentive. Appetizer fried calamari. Ordered the Shrimp Oregano w a side of Penne in garlic oil. OMG sooo good. Momma ordered the chicken Marsala. She was pleased. Hunny ordered chicken parm. Side Caesar salad. We were all pleased that the food wasn't overly salty as we're all watching our sodium. So right there that was a huge plus. Portions were very generous and were all having dinner the next 2 nights. (Yeah it all depends on how much you eat in a sitting and for us, this was just great). Food was fresh, focaccia bread was warmed. Two other employees came to speak to us just to make sure everything was as we expected. All we could say was everything was perfect. Oh and we had no room for dessert but took a cannoli 'to go'. What a sweet presentation. And talk about fresh cream and a crispy shell!!! The best cannoli I've ever eaten. Bravo guys. We'll be back

Fantastic pizza and restaurant for the neighborhood. Their menu is pretty extensive with many options other than pizza. We normally stop by every week for a slice. My daughter claims their cheese slice is the best she has ever had :) All slices I have tried are delicious too!

Exterior of the pizza place, as we were driving away. I can't believe I took no pics of their food!!

They're great, and the service is phenomenal. I wanted to comment about their catering, because they shined here. I had my kid's birthday party over at Dream City and needed to order pizza. We also had a guest who was lactose-intolerant, and another who was gluten-free. My son also has an egg allergy, so when I called to confirm that there was no egg in their pizza dough, they confirmed that it was correct. Some old school NY pizza joints don't appreciate this question, but the owner here was kind and understood exactly why I would want to ask this question. They also made sure that my guest who was lactose-intolerant wouldn't have a pasta dish made with any butter or milk. They delivered the 8 pies, gluten free personal pizza, and pasta for my lactose-intolerant guest right on time. I had placed the order a few days before, so I was worried about them being on time, but that wasn't an issue at all. Everyone raved about the pies, and our guests with the food intolerances were happy with their food, too. The delivery driver was pleasant and made sure things went where they needed to. If you need a good pizza caterer in the area, look no further than Lillian's.

Friendly service. This time I tried the grandma Sicilian slice. They don't have lasagna any more.read more

The whole setup just depresses the hell out of me, honestly. They've got these fancy looking square pizzas that look like they're gonna get framed and displyed at the Museum of Modern Food like some kind of art or something. I've eaten the one that is loaded with folds of prosciutto and cheese, is it the Angel and the Devil? I think it is and the other one ive scarfed down is covered in pepperoni and melted cheese, its more traditional in the basic ingredients I prefer from the circle pies. The two I've eaten were quite good. I mean, you cant walk right in and order a slice to go even if you're starving, you must order the whole kahuna. But some people act like getting pizza in this place like this makes them bloody sophisticated, but were all under the same glistening lights above. The guy to my left had some kind of tagliatelle with meat sauce and grated cheese, it was sitting in a patterned bowl which i kept looking back at and admiring. I liked the way it looked upon the wooden table below. You order off these sleek paper menus laid out for you, its the main menu and there is a separate Drinks Menu with cocktails, and a wine list and beers. It's a lot of work for me, you know. making me read through a whole booklet just to decide what kind of booze that I want to drink with my meal, I can be occasionally lazy regardingsuch matters. Inside, the dining room is all warm lighting and exposed wood, with people sitting at tables reading their menus, eatingvand drinking and trying to have a grand, important evening out. Look, the food tastes fine, pizza and pasta are hard to mess up, but it's not the life changing culinary event that Metropolitan has needed for quite some time.

I felt slightly intimidated from the look of the place on the outside because it would seem like a middle class to upper class Restaurant but inside, it does look very nice but the setting is very much casual for its basically an upscale Pizzeria. However I didn't have pizza in mind, I went for something bigger and that would be the Chicken Parmigiana along with Root Beer which tallied up to $32 so not too bad. I contemplated about getting Dessert but I ultimately forgone it, which was a good decision in the long run because the chicken parm order was surprisingly hefty. I've gotten used to smaller portions being served in restaurants nowadays and I was expecting I'm gonna be hungry later eventually, but I sure was proven wrong. That meal filled me up proper, a little too proper because I felt absolutely stuffed after eating it all. I'm not one to complain about a good problem. Sure I felt uncomfortable, bloated and sluggish after eating that meal but I will take that any day in the week over feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled because if you're gonna spend $30+ on a meal, you SHOULD get your money's worth and that was a meal I could very well split with two and felt very fine with that. So props to PC for a gut busting meal, for the price I paid for lunch, I should feel like I'm going to spontaneously combust, better that than still feeling empty. That was an amazing meal that I'm STILL feeling the effects of as I write this review going on 8 PM on the same day I ate there at 12:30 PM. Both items came out together like we asked and was far too much food for two. My first bite of the pizza was hot, crunchy, and delicious. I love fresh oven pizzas with a crispy bottom crust. The chefs did an amazing job cooking it just right. I also loved the fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It really elevated the pizza to another level. The crust was great all around with a slight oven char. Lastly the calzone took me by surprise as it had no sauce and was filled with ricotta cheese as opposed to mozzarella. It came with a small cup of hot marinara sauce for dipping/pouring. It was definitely an interesting calzone but don't think it was worth the price. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and Nick's and would highly recommend it. I do wish the pricing was a bit more fair when it came to full vs half pie toppings as well as the calzone.

And it always seems very family and kid-friendly. We definitely went to the right place. I'm not a parent and I've never pushed a stroller without some bumps here and there, and I was so worried about helping get the stroller through the 2 doors. One of his staff saw us from the inside and immediately came out to help as soon as we reached for the door. Nick's paternal instincts definitely came into full effect because he looked out for us and wanted to give us the best seats so that we can have the stroller beside us. The pizza is excellent and I absolutely would come here over again and again, but the warm service from Nick himself and his staff is what truly makes this place so special in the community for so long. I didn't get a chance to come here during those formative years before the fire but when the restaurant finally reopened last year, it was incredibly sad to hear Nick explain how the fire and rebuilding devastated him and the business for over 2 years.
